Staff at pick up location is not very knowledgeable about the rental process. Cab of rental truck was not clean and the rental truck had some mechanical issues.

Michael Canethe only reason we returned to this location was that the previously arranged drop off in Hubbards was unable to accept the return as arranged because u-haul's entire north american network was down and the lady there couldn't cope. So we had to drive half an hour out of our way to return it.
VICTORIA STEVENSThe gas level was just over empty when I got it and I was expected to get it to 1/4 when I returned it. $55 gas for a 22km round trip was an unpleasant surprise on top of the normal fees.

Marty TomlinsonFor some reason the computer, per the clerk was slow. Such that she would wait on other customers why the computer was processing. It also meant I had to wait. The clerk provided me the code to unlock the padlock on the truck. As it was about freezing temperature or slightly above (2 or 3 degrees Celsius I found the tumblers on the padlock difficult to turn. When I thought i had the correct combination the padlock did not unlock. Eventually a gentleman came over and looked at the padlock number and realized I had been given the wrong code. He was able to move the tumblers to the correct code and unlocked the padlock..

dale romkeyLocation is amazing. Equipment maintenance by uhual itself is horrible. We rented a truck, couldn't even leave tires flat. Had to double.pay and wait for refunds and the U-Haul head office tested the location staff horribly to the point they write them down and give them negative marks because they had to call them for service. Imagine. LOCATION AMAZING L, once again the truck maintenance is HORRIBLE. NOT the locations fault. The truck was just dropped off by U-Haul itself in bad repair. Second replacement truck not much better.

Adrian ThomsonTruck cab had used masks on the floor. Truck back was dirty. The truck smelled like smoke, there were ashes in the ash tray. The location could not find the drop off point previously entered and changed it, forcing me to call afterwards to correct it.
Richard SchultzTrailer was missing the electrical harness and I had to borrow one from another unit. Other than that, everything was perfect. Easily accessible, staff knew what they were doing in both checkout and checkin, smooth and simple!
Jeff WeltonI requested a furniture dolly online 2 months prior with my booking. None were available. As well, no box dolly; we were given an appliance dolly. I requested 2 furniture blankets, I was told I requested “24”. Who needs 24 furniture blankets? As well, I was not able to pay debit, the Uhaul website stated I was able to. I ended up having to pay cash, with a deposit. There should be notifications that the pick up location does not have certain equipment, as well what payment details would be available. The Uhaul website was not updated.

COLIN GILMOUR MANNWhen i arrived there was only 1 employee working. She was trying to process my rental and work the convenience counter at the same time. The process took very long. When I asked the owner if there would be someone to help me load my vehicle on the vehicle transporter, he said no, he was heading to Halifax. He said he would print me off instructions. At the end of the checking in process he handed me a stack of papers and said good luck. If he is the owner of the location and is renting out Uhauls I find it hard to believe that he would plan to go to Halifax on the busiest day of the Month. Du to the fact that I was by myself, I had no one to help me load my vehicle on the transporter, and had to drive to New Glasgow and back. I am very unhappy with how I was treated. I should have went with a bigger truck and went to OCR. At least there would have been someone to help me!! You need to have a discussion with the owner and express to him its not a good idea to head leave the site on the busiest day of the Month.
Harvey BoutilierIt took me 45 minutes to make a simple pick-up of a trailer. The issue was not with the location but the new software system rolled out by U-haul. After three attempts on the system in the store I finally had to complete the process on my phone. Even after that the system would not allow a credit card payment so I had to use cash. This was a brutal experience and it will be a long time before U-haul sees my business again. Lucky for me, there are other competitors I can go to for rentals.

Michele BrushettMake sure the person who is in charge of renting u-haul equipment, understands English, speaks clear English, and knows how to write up the transaction. Also ask a client if they want insurance before beginning the paper work not at the end. I was delayed getting the equipment for almost an hour.

leroy tibboWhen I returned the trailer the bill said I should get ~25$ back. It never went back into my bank. I went back to the uhaul place and they just gave me cash back.
