The customer service agent at this location was awesome!! Note: this comment ONLY reflects the online reservation portion of my experience (not the pick up or drop off location). UHaul NEEDS TO revamp its reservation pick up time confirmation.I made a reservation in back in February (so 3 months IN ADVANCE) for a specific pick up time. I received a text 2 days prior with a completely different pick up time...actually 3 hours LATER than originally reserved. After 60 minutes of being on hold and then finally talking to two different customer service reps they time was corrected to what it was on my original reservation. The next day (1 day prior to pickup) I received another confirmation with an even LATER pick up time. I spent over an hour on the phone this time trying to get this corrected. UHaul's explanation was "the truck you have reserved won't be returned until this specific time" which was 3 1/2 hours that my reservation was. WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING A RESERVATION IF THE PICK UP TIME IS NOT CONFIRMED? This should be stated clearly on the website that only the pick up day is confirmed and the time is merely a suggestion. While on the phone (holding) I was able to find a truck available in our home town (which thus involved an additional 150 miles of driving + the cost of gas). I asked the agent to change the reservation as we needed a truck at a specific time in order to be in another city that was 2 1/2 hours away -- we couldn't wait the 3 1/2 hours for our truck. Each time I was on hold for 20 minutes before anyone even picked up and now I know why....because other people were probably calling and complaining and needing to change their pick up time as well. When a reservation is made for the day & TIME, both of these need to be met -- NOT JUST ONE!!

Equipment was clean but the driver's side windshield washer did not work. Passenger side worked but driver's side did not. That is a problem in the Midwest during spring. Lots of bug splatters obstructing views. It rained so a little less of an issue but needs fixing.

I reserved for pickup in Baraboo, WI but was told when I tried to pick it up, I had to drive 20 miles away to pick up the trailer. Don’t give the option to pick up in one location and then not allow it to happen.

All the blankets in the uhaul were full of saw dust. While moving the blankets opened up and saw dust got over all my belongings

Rhonda was the gal that helped me Thursday morning 8/30. She was very nice and helpful, even though the U-Haul website wasn't working quite like it should. It was a good experience and I would recommend them to anyone. Good job, Rhonda!

The location was fine. Perhaps a little slow to process because they don't see much traffic, and not super proficient on the computer, but very nice and understanding. She also only had 11 furniture pads at her location. Not a big deal. The issue I have is with UHaul itself. I had to drive an extra hour away from my moving location to pick up the truck with no sort of reimbursement offered from UHaul, besides the additional miles for the truck. My time and hassle were not addressed in the least by an official UHaul representative. I understand the city I was moving from was busy, but it was just an additional negative thing to happen during my moving experience.

I made reservations at Ness Sales in Lodi, WI. Didn't know I had to pick up in Sauk City until day before. Don't know why I couldn't rent for $29.95? Also told where to return the truck in East Bristol, WI, and charged extra mileage. The cost for this rental was ridiculous. Never had a problem like this before. Very unsatisfied.

The Midway Oil attendant was very helpful and knowledgeable. My only gripe is with the uhaul website. It is very hard and cumbersome to use. The online check-in was a complete failure. Five stars to Midway Oil. Zero stars for the uhaul website.

When booking a Uhaul vehicle it would be very helpful if the location you boo it from is the location you get confirmation for not another location. If Uhaul changes the pick up location, the email confirmation shoudl have a big "Attention: We have changed your pick up location" notice on it.

Excellent service at Midway Oil. I got there only about 10 minutes before they close but they were more than willing to stick around a few minutes late to make sure everything was hooked up OK and ready to go.

Had our pickup time for 8am. Showed up at about 8:10am. Took us until about 8:45 until someone at this location could get us checked in and ready to go. Extremely disappointed in the location and people. Unfriendly and not concerned about delaying our day. Would not recommend this location to anyone.

It was a bit confusing knowing which location to pick up our UHaul. I requested Baraboo, but it was changed to Sauk City. I tried to pay online, but it kept stating Baraboo as the pickup, and I knew that it was changed to Sauk City.

I did not appreciate getting a notice that after I booked the uhaul with this location that I was informed I would need to go to Baraboo to pick up the Uhaul. I stopped in to discuss with the owner of Midway Oil and he was able to get me a uhaul back at the place I requested pick up. That was my only frustration - I rent a uhaul from Midway at least 2 times a year - I expect it to be at the location that is most convenient for me. Thank you!

I should have had an adapter that accommodated a straight 4 connector (for the lights and brakes). Fortunately, they (my rental location) had one to loan to me. I played with my brake device/trailer tow system; I could not get the trailer brakes to engage, so it seemed like I was relying solely on my truck brakes. My location did a good job of setting it up and showing me that the trailer needs to be downhill for the coupler to work properly.

My complaint is about scheduling this pick up. My email indicated that Sauk City was my "preferred" location, which was misleading because, as it turned out, my reservation was actually in a town 20 miles away, Baraboo. When I was contacted by Baraboo to schedule the pick-up, I was never informed that the "preferred" location was not my ACTUAL pick-up location. Really disappointing U-Haul. This is not the first time that I have literally wasted a significant amount of time with you trying to figure out what is going on with a reservation I made through U-Haul since you guys seem to be WAY TOO BIG to manage your customers adequately. Never again using you. Fortunately the people in Sauk City were very helpful at sorting this out for me.

Your dispatch completely screwed this transaction up by changing my pickup location without notifying me, gave the new location the wrong phone number. When I picked up the truck, there was no dolly available so I was sent to another location to pick up a dolly and was charged for gas and mileage to do that. I was told more than once by dispatch that they would call ahead and confirm that the dolly was at the other location, but they never called them or called me back. It was just a horribly messed up and unprofessional mess. U-haul should be ashamed. I should be refunded a good portion of my expenses because of my hassle. It took me 45 minutes to get a truck that I reserved 4 days ahead of time.

The hours are wrong in the system for them. There were people there when I got there but they said they were closed. They wouldn't help me at all. I asked what I was supposed to do and they said come back at 8 a.m. the next day or try to find something in Madison. I called the Uhaul toll free number and they basically forced these guys to help. Lady on the phone was great. These guys at Midway didn't care about me at all. Especially the older of the two. He was out right rude. Even told me that he doesn't work for Uhaul so he doesn't have to help me. The younger one at least showed me the truck with a quick tutorial.
