I reserved a 15 foot truck which I have used several times in my previous moves, however the truck that I received was NOT a 15 ft truck and the customer service rep at the location was rude and not helpful when I said something about it. Will not use this location again.

The only thing that didn’t work was the pad lock. The key would turn but lock would not open. I’m glad I tested it first before locking truck up. Other than that it was a seamless process.

Again, a fantastic experience. Why doesn't Uhaul give these folks more big trucks? It should be a priority. I rent at least a truck a week all year AND WILL NOT RENT ANYWHERE ELSE. The rest of the facilities in KC are a joke in comparison to how smooth Midtown Self Storage runs their operation. I would sure appreciate it if they had the ability to have a 26', 24', and 20' available a majority of the time. Sure there is one available 10 minutes away, but it takes 45 minutes for them to get it rented and another 45 to get it checked in - opposed to the 5 minutes on each side at Midtown Self Storage - where customer service comes first. Why can't the truck just be transferred to this location when I need one and want a positive experience and a job done right? Again, the best place to rent a truck in town. They need more inventory. Why does corporate uhaul office constantly deny them the trucks they need? Smoothest running rental operation I've ever seen. They need a full inventory of newer trucks and should train another rental facilities how to do their job correctly. Love them!

Customer service 800# reps are very rude, when reserved online it shows times are guaranteed which it was not I reserved for a specific time frame and was forced to bring back an hour earlier.

It took over 30 minutes to actually get the uhaul. The verification of my license took forever, should maybe do all of that prior. I also did not receive the dolly that I had paid for.

Not fault of this location, but I put a reservation in on a Wed for a 20 footer and the next day was contacted that there were none at the location I originally chose which was closer to my house. But they switched to this location because no other location had any available trucks for that Sat but this one for a 15 foot. So, I drove 45 miles alone leaving the location to my destination and returning the truck. I guess to approve, I don't know how to improve from this type of situation.

There was an issue with the wording of how to drop off using the app. The issue was then escalated when i called customer support where they wasted over an hour of my time to tell me that if I leave the truck at the drop off point and it gets stolen, then it is my fault. Location was convenient, but the customer service phone team is horrendous. Slow, unknowledgeable, and not helpful what so ever when it came to understanding the specific situation of this location.

The app made it difficult to pick up the uhaul because I could not see the pictures to verify that the truck was in good condition. The app also made it very difficult to return the truck because it would not load and kept saying there was an error processing. It was really frustrating.

I originally reserved a location in Independence on Noland road and then later in the week received an email that my pickup location was updated to the location on Troost. I called the location to express my concern with the switch and was told my pickup time was 5pm when I reserved for 10am Sunday to 10 am the next morning. I was dismayed because I had hired a company to move me and 5pm did not coordinate with the time I had scheduled for the mover. The person I spoke to showed lack of concern for my inconvenience. I hung up with her and was very frustrated. I then called back and a man answered the phone. I had him double check my reservation and he confirmed 10am Sat to 10am Sun. I was confused as to why the previous person I talked to have me different info. Despite having to switch locations I felt better after that. Come moving day I pick up the uhaul without issue. I had to leave my car inside the gate which the lady who took care of me let me know that if I didn’t turn the vehicle back before closing my care would be locked and I wouldn’t be able to get it til the next day. I was okay with that at the moment, but after I finished moving I decided I did not want to wait til the next day so I called the office and was told that they close at 7 but they lock the gate at 645. I figured that I could make it, but ended up running into backup on 70 west near the stadium where the lanes were reduced to 2 lanes due to a truck that had overturned into a ditch earlier in the day. I had called 20 mins before to let someone at the office know I was on my way and that I had to get gas and the person that answered said they will let someone at the location know. I thought I was talking to someone at the location so I was a little confused. I made it to the location at 655 and the gate was locked and no one was there. I called the number back and I guess I was transferred to a general customer service number. I explained my situation and was transferred to someone else who told me the facility closed at 5pm. I told her I was previously told 7 and that If that was the case I would have waited til the next day. She was able to contact the manager for that location who she said would call me in a few after he found out if an employee was still near the area. I got a call back and was told someone was waiting to let me in. I thanked him, thanked the lady who let me in, dropped off the truck and left in my car. I was very frustrated because I made the reservation a week in advance, called the Noland rd location right after to make corrections to the time, and there was no mention of having to switch locations, so I hung thinking everything was taken care of. This is first bad experience I have had. While I appreciate someone coming out to let me in, I felt that there was unnecessary frustration caused by misinformation and lack of communication from the start of the reservation. I had discussed the problems with local manager (?) and "division manager", to no avail, and they not only could not care less, but were very rude and should not represent Uhaul, if Uhaul cares about continued success. Checkin with the app didn't work. I was able to upload my pic, the pic of the front of my driving license, but the app stalled when I tried to upload the back of my driving license. i tried several time (each time had to redo the whole process), it was always stalling at the same place. Frustrating
