The app didn’t work so I ended up on the phone with a customer service person Brittany who did a great job helping but it had to waste the time to do it. The location I selected to drop off the truck was changed which made me have to find a driver to get me to the location I needed to be that day.

When I reserved the truck I did not sign up for online checkout service. When I got there and waited finally a woman appeared on screen. She tried to explain what to do. Had to download the app which I did not want to do then it still would not work and the reason was because I did not sign up for online. Also she said that she took the charge of furniture pads off because there was none in office but maybe some were in truck. Of course there was no. How do you move furniture without pads. If they were out telling the customer when you pick up truck is not the time. Should have been notified sooner. When I was getting ready to leave this guy walks in and says did no one come out to help you and I told him no. Both times have been horrible at both places. Have one more trip to make in truck or hauling trailer. Penske does not have trailers so I may be forced to use Uhaul again.

Danny HanbackThe drop off location on my reservation said something and then when I returned it said it was a different location. Might have been miscommunication but was not resolved without me having to pay fees that I should not have been responsible to due to an error on uhauls part. Not to mention, the customer service rep I spoke to was extremely rude and placed the blame on me. I have receipts and screen shots that prove the error was on uhauls side, and will be escalating this instance as high as possible, and hopefully get a refund. Terrible experience and made my already stressful move even more stressful. You have lost a customer and I will be reaching out to anyone I know that requires your services to seek alternatives so they can actually get professional assistance and customer service

Angel CookeThe staff at the rental office was kind and made the check in and out process easy. For the personal interaction they were great and kept me informed on everything that I needed to know to not receive extra charges. However, while the truck I received was sufficient for the task, it really needs an alignment and to be cleaned out. When i was cleaning it before returning it I found trash from the precious users (things that could no way have been ours). There were also crumbs and loads of tiny trash like that in the front cab. Also the online rental let me reserve for ten a.m., but the office doesn't open until noon so there was a delay in actually receiving the truck (they extended my rental time to match with the delay). The staff assured me that normally there is a way to get the truck at the originally agreed on time, but it did not work out that way for me

Richard MurryThe cleanliness of the van was ridiculously unsanitary, it looked and smelled like a pig pin. Representatives explained why the van was filthy, and it was the only one available, so I took it because it would have been a big inconvenience to find another one at another location. Therefore, my experience was horrible, management should have found a better way to detail the interior if they couldn't get the interior clean themselves.

Peggy BushardThe truck was NOT comfortable to drive. This was no fault of the service provider, but a defect in the design of the truck itself. The position of the gas pedal necessitated and extremely awkward foot angle that caused significant fatigue and cramping. Also, the "foot box or well" that contains the brake and gas pedals was EXTREMELY SMALL and uncomfortable. I used to own an MG Midget that had a larger and far more comfortable pedal set up and foot well. Other than this very significant comfort problem, I had no problems with the truck. It was well maintained, clean and problem free. My suggestion is to either redesign the pedal arrangement in future trucks, or include a cruise control, which I was surprised wasn't included as standard equipment on a truck designed to potentially cross a continent!
