1) The sunshield holder was broken and sustained in the back with an old masking tape covered in dust . As soon I started driving and I moved the sunshield to view, the holder came off. 2) The truck was parked too close to the next truck and the passenger door could not be opened— no space. My passenger had to crawl through my door. In the back the truck was backed into a school bus and a tree, so I couldn’t examine the passenger side rear view. However, when I drove off and stopped at my next stop, I saw there an old scratch not marked with X. Not sure what to do now as I had no human contact with u-haul. 3. This whole no-contact thing was a mess. To start with, the app wouldn’t let me log in however many minutes I tried. I called customer service and When I finally was able to het in touch with the right person, it was almost 20 min later. Logging in and getting verified took another 20 minutes. I am not happy with my experience!

Our pickup time was 9:30 - no one was there until 10:15 so we had to keep informing the people to wait for us as we are running late. Then we had order 12 Furniture pads and they had none, so we also had to stop at Lowes to buy moving blankets. We got the truck with only 1/4 tank of gas which was not enough to even get us to where we were going (Cromwell to Milford) of course you got the U-Haul back with 1/2 tank of gas because it is hard to judge how much fuel this Trank will use. I do think we deserve some sort of credit.

Did not provide me with a receipt at time of checkout and when I received the email receipt, they over charged me on the number of days rented now I need to call them! If I don't receive a refund, it will be the last time I use uhaul

The process was so easy to pick up and drop off using the mobile check in. I was pleasantly surprised. Vehicle was clean and efficient. Very happy with the experience. Will definitely use again if needed!

We spoke to two employees there when we dropped off. One even called me to explain where the drop box was since she knew we were coming soon to drop off. They couldn’t have been nicer and more patient - I would recommend this location to everyone

I would suggest having trucks available at the locations. This is now the second time I have had to reserve a truck at a different location and one has not been available to me. Stop switching the times that we can pick up the vehicle.

it was a disaster. I got a call from a very nice man in the morning, the owner, I believe. He said that he had to leave, but we were all set to pick up. I sent my fiancé to get the truck, I opened the mobile app email on my phone and forwarded it to him ad had him log in, he sat there waiting for a code, but no-one was avail at the store front to give it to him, so he was waiting for quite a while and had no way to get the vehicle, and we had all our helpers waiting for us so we could move. I called the person in the shop and they very nicely called the owner for me who then gave my fiancé the code so he could get the Uhaul. He finally got the truck and he confirmed that the pictures I was sent did not show the damage to the side of truck which was substantial. However, I couldn't upload the photo that he took, at the site to the website to dispute, bc it could not confirm the gps location, so we are unsure if we'll be charged for damage we didn't do. The tires were almost bald in back and we ended up getting stuck in our yard, overall, a rough experience, but the people were very helpful at least. I just think it was not organized very well and it was very frustrating, when it should have been a click and done process.

This location. We rented for 48 hours..they called me at 7:30 am and said they need the truck back an hour and a half sooner because they rented that truck for 8:30. The gas was a fraction of from the amount that was originally there. We did not have time to go put 5$ in gas in to get them the truck back early for them . So they charged me 40$ for gas. And a cleaning fee but the truck was swept out. I did that personally. And the owner was rude when the truck was returned an hour and a half early for their convenience.And they called me 2 days ago when we rented this truck and told me I worte a google from my last experience with them concerning a car repair review that bashed them and to take it down. This is totally unexcusable. I would appreciate a refund for them taking my money for this gas $40.00 and a cleaning fee...that I would have been able to put in$5.00 and they insisted that I bring the truck back before my time with it was up.. I do plan to write another review .. I'm hoping it can be a good review

The location was poorly marked. We had absolutely no idea it was in fact a uhaul provider. No signs in front of the building. Not one uhaul truck in the parking lot. I had to go around the side of the building (where the garbage dumpsters were) that's where I saw the key drop. Very shady part of town.

The u haul site and staff at the store took almost an hour to release the truck that was prepaid and rented online with everything done ahead of time online. It was a very laborious and cumbersome process that was painfully slow. A change in systems at the store and on the U haul site would be welcome.

My truck did not have the equipment I ordered, so I would say doublecheck that. It makes a difference. I still don't know if I have to pay for it even though I didn't get it. Also, my gas was maybe off by a hair and I got charged $14.95 for the difference. I stopped twice on the way back and put in $25 and it was really close--figure out a different way to price gas issues.

My business Liability insurance covers rentals. I never get insurance from u-Haul. Curious as to why I was charged for something I did not ask for. I use u-haul 5 -6 times a month. Do you often charge people for services people do not ask for?

The reservation system on the web keeps asking way too many questions during checkout about if you want this or this or that. It was insane, at one point my wife closed it and thought about going somewhere else. Everything was great, just need to stop hammering on potential customers for so much stuff. Make it one section with categories and let people have easier time reserving.

My card was charged when I processed the pick up of the truck. And then charged again when I dropped it off, and I didn't even receive a receipt for my transaction. (or 2 transactions since my card was hit twice). I had no one to talk to if I had any questions.

You're online booking service is absolutely awful. After I get to the location and locate my truck, I am asked for -company -secondary contact -bill -passport Who the hell has their passport or a bill on them after they arrive at the U-Haul location??? So I did company and secondary address. I waited about 10 minutes outside in the hot sun waiting for verification. Nothing. So I use the support chat. "Please wait while I verify you." Another 8 minutes go by. She tells me that my contact didn't answer. I call my contact to tell him to answer the random 800 number that is calling him. I ask her to call him back. She says she needs another contact. I tell her politely that nobody is going to answer an 800 number out of the blue. She says you guys text them first and "you can always just let them know that you're using them as a contact and they'd answer." I told her I would if there was ANY INDICATION that they would be called. The site only says that they will be contacted if the equipment is late. She says "It was in an email you received when you booked." I looked, I have no email. I call someone else and let them know that they are going to get a call then give her the contact info. Instant rejection. I need yet another contact. There was not even a moment between submitting the contact and rejection. There was no possible attempt to call. After being rudely and poorly "helped" by Melissa on the chat and standing outside in the heat for nearly an hour, I said screw her and went inside to talk to someone that would be useful, not take multiple minutes in-between responses and continually lie, backtalk me, and purposefully reject my information. I proceeded to talk to the gentleman inside and explain my situation. He seemed just as puzzled as me. He enters my information and gets forced to refresh multiple times as information is being changed on someone's end (I can only assume Melissa's). He then has to call some sort of U-Haul office to get everything sorted. Then after doing all of this, he is forced to call yet another one of my contacts. I give him the first contact I used, the one I asked Melissa to call back and was told no, and of course he answers now that he's had a heads up. A 3 second phone call and I'm done. Even the man in the office said that that was all a huge waste of time. I am 21 years old. I am very, very tech competent. This online service is an absolute disgrace. How could you ask me for all this info after I am told to find my truck in the lot? Obviously your online support has dogshit for training. Melissa had no idea what the hell she was talking about. That or she is just a miserable person who wants to make everyone else suffer Overall, NEVER use U-Haul online booking. It is an absolute waste of time. Go inside, and talk to the knowledgeable people. They'll get the job done.
