My only complaint was that my pickup location was moved and that caused me to have to pay for 10 miles over the cost of the rental. From my original pickup location I wouldn't have paid at all.Amber G.

Have them actually clean the vehicles after the last use to start this other would be great and supply the equipment you request would also be great. They Did not do either which has resulted in me needing to spend an additional day moving as they didn't supply the equipment I requested so that I could move all in one trip. you charged me an additional $20.00 for returning the truck a day before it was due? Your facility was closed but that was the only day I could return. Phili changed our drop off location from your address to Hammond St. We live right by your location so returned where we initially showed we would. I am fighting your charge. I rented from a uhaul center in Worcester on Belmont street because I heard of issues with neighborhood stores. I had previously used the Belmont Street center and had very good luck. My rental got switched to this center and it was a horrible experience and I did not get the furniture pads I ordered and have still not received a credit for them.Cheryl G.
Rented a uhaul from this place and no one was there to fill our order at the expected time. We were told to pick it up at 9 am, this place apparently doesn't open until 10 and even at 10, no one was there. It took us an hour to get the truck. The process was not well-organized and they were clearly not prepared for myself and the two other customers who showed up on time to get our rental trucks. An employee eventually showed up, but this was definitely an inconvenience for a service that was paid for. Absolutely terrible customer service. He basically just told us to â€œuse the appâ€ while we all were struggling with it outside in the parking lot. Also, after leaving a review on their site I received a text asking me to take down the review. This was a shifty place overall and I would absolutely not recommend them for anything.Colton C.

Oil light was on in truck upon pickup. Facility staff said that it is not their policy to check vehicle fluids between rentals. The staff member at the counter said she could not authorize the oil to be checked or changed until the manager arrived. Once the manager arrived to the facility and the oil change was authorized the mechanic said that the oil was completely empty in the truck but he had no more oil and we would have to wait for a delivery. About an hour later his delivery of oil arrived and he filled the tank. By this time it was almost two hours after my initial rental agreement was printed so I asked the manager if he could update my contract with the current time since I rented for 24 hours and felt as though I should not have had to pay for the time the truck was still on the lot with no oil in it. He then told me that he was not the manager and could not change the time on the rental agreement. He informed me that the girl I spoke to earlier who told me he was the manager was the actual manager but she was gone for the day. When I refused to leave with the truck without an updated rental agreement he said he would handwrite the time on my contract and sign it. As I was currently on the clock attempting to move inventory for my company I agreed that would be ok for the sake of time. The facility provided no paperwork to annotate flaws or damage to the vehicle prior to leaving the lot as most other uhaul facilities I have rented from in the past do. In fact they asked me to sign for the fuel level and mileage without giving me the key to verify those levels and I had to ask for the key to do so before I signed. After leaving the truck had a few other issues reflecting very poor maintanence practices including very dim headlights and a burnt out overhead light in the cargo area. I will absolutely never rent from this particular uhaul facility again. The business is actually a shady looking used car dealership and they run their uhaul renting business exactly the way you would expect a shady used car dealership to run it.Matthew J.

They were late opening and needed to get the return done before I could go. Backed me up by 30 min. I asked for packing pads when I reserved and they had none. The truck was not on full in the gas and I only drove 50 miles and had to put in 30 bucks to get to the full level. Would love to see a discount applied on my rental for these issues stated above.DAVID S.

The Worcester location was poor costumer service, they barely spoke, never explained anything. She took a photo of my drivers license with her personal cell phone, she never explained what she was doing. I would never go back to that location! The vehicle has issues with the transmission which made driving on the roads challenging. No one ever asked if I had any issues or concerns ! I was qouatrd 90$ at Natick location to pick up vehicle and charged 138$ in Worcester location. Experience was poor when dealing with on-line reservation system. I was quoted a price that was not honored at time of pick up. IN addition, initial location pick-up was over 1 1/2 hours away and when I called to correct I was told I would be contacted for pick up location, but was never called. When I picked up at location I was given a price double what I was quoted. Efforts were made to correct, however Manager I was transferred to never answered the phone and line went dead. When I called back I was told an objection form needed to be completed and U-Haul would respond within 1-3 days. I still have not heard back from anyone and that was two days ago. I was provided a new price, however still not satisfactory as it was more than the price I was quoted. Truck worked great and service location employee was very helpful despite circumstances.tamara L.

The whole reason we rented a uhaul was to move appliances. We rented an appliance dolly, and when we got to the southwest cutoff location (out of our way, and not our preferred location) there weren't any. We were told by the rude workers that we would have to drive to our preferred location on Belmont st to pick one up. It ended up being 14 miles out of our way. The people told us the dolly would fit in our car, because we didn't want to put extra miles on our uhaul. It barely fit, and we had to rearrange seats. When we got to the Belmont location, they had no idea we were coming, even though the southwest cutoff location claimed they called to let them know. We also declined the insurance. The man said it was mandatory. Never heard of that before. Unbelievly rude and condescending man. So we paid extra for insurance we didn't want/need. THEN... we asked that our truck had a ramp, since we would be moving appliances. The man on the phone a few days before told me that all of the trucks had ramps. The idiots at the uhaul place told us that as well....when we got to our moving location and went to load a very heavy refrigerator, washer, and dryer...no ramp. That was fun having to lift those items! Then, I called to complain and the customer service rep told me the small trucks didn't have ramps. Would have been nice to know, since I had already asked twice. Nightmare experience. I have used uhaul 5 times and always had an excellent experience. Now, I will NEVER use again.Jane P.

He place I picked it up was not where I wanted. The uhaul rep on the phone was rude when she called to tell me she changed the pick up location!!!!!!! However, the rep at metro was was extremely friendly and helpful!!!!Maureen J.
The female customer service that welcomed us was extremely courteous and helpful. She even called other Uhaul locations to find out if they had the preferable Truck size. All was well until a male representative called me an hour before my time was up threatening to charge me double if I went past my deadline. I don't think I ever drove so fast to gas up and return a Truck in my life! If it wasn't for the gentleman caller, this location would be rated Excellent - because I truly appreciated the first person I interacted with/gave me the Truck. She's the ultimate customer service professional - takes pride in her work and serves everyone excellently.Brenda A.

I booked my rental online and requested a 20' Uhaul for a 7am pickup at Belmont street in Worcester, Ma. The contract was for a 2 day rental and 50 miles. I was able to book this with no problem, however the day before my move I received a call stating there were no 20' trucks in the area and I would have to drive to Uxbridge, Ma at 9am to pick up my Uhaul! (I lived in Boylston). This was inconvenient and put me well over my mileage, but I had no choice so I agreed to go out of my way. I showed up in Uxbridge at 8:50, the office was supposed to be open at 8am. There was no one there and no truck. The office was closed, dark and looked like a kids dirty playroom. I called the office which was some guys cellphone and he seemed uninterested and could care less that he wasn't in the office when he was supposed to be. He said he didn't work for Uhaul and I'd have to call Uhaul if the truck didn't show up by 9. I called Uhaul and they informed me I would have to drive to Cumberland, RI to pickup a truck! They transferred my reservation and my call. The lady who answered was rude and she informed me they did not have a 20' truck and that there was no reservation at that location under my name and that I was supposed to go to North Attleboro, Ma... just then a 20' truck pulled up so she told me to come. When I got there the lady was pleasant and understanding and she tried to discount my rates after I told her my story, but she was unable to because again, she didn't work for Uhaul. She at least gave me my dozen moving blankets for free. She admitted this happens all the time and she hated it because the customers take it out on them when it isn't their fault. I took the truck and had to drive 45 miles back to Boylston, Ma! I didn't get home until almost noon. I now was starting my move, which was already stressful, in negative mileage and over 4 hours after I was supposed to start. I also was held responsible for paying the extra mileage and gas for the Uhaul even though I had no choice in the matter and my husband had to inconveniently drive our car the same distance, using up even more gas and mileage! Had I known I would have had to pickup my truck in Cumberland, Ri and that this whole situation was going to happen, I would have chosen a different company like Enterprise (who had a minimum of 10 trucks in their clean and professional looking facility in Worcester by the way). I will never use Uhaul again as they are not reliable and in a case with a move, they need to be. How can a company have such a horrible inventory system in today's technical age? How can you rely merely on your customers returning their trucks on time with no repercussion or even a phone call to them if they are late and not have a backup truck available?! And how can you allow your customers to book a specific time, date, location and truck size if you have no idea when and if there will be a truck available and then make them bounce to multiple locations in hopes the truckSuzette R.
