Representative was very helpful & accommodating! Everything was very efficient. I locked the key in the truck, my issue no one else's but it was a $175 fee for Uhaul to come unlock. I was a 3 minute drive from the location. Luckily I had AAA and was not taken advantage of in this situation. Overall a great experience.PHILLIP D.

We were told this was a brand new vehicle and that it had cruise control and all modern conveniences. The truck was dirty, basic, old and had no cruise control. We don't like being lied to.theresa R.
The location was in a back alley and didn't feel very safe. The clerk was behind bullet proof glass, and we spoke through a microphone system. Glad it was still light outside when I dropped off the rental. It was SCARY!!!elizabeth K.

The trailer was clean. We were taking donated items to East KY for Flood Relief. The trailer leaked at the front corners. This made some items wet. Thankfully we placed perishable items in totes or they could have been damaged/ruined.Aaron C.
Quick and convenient location. It is a towing company so they are behind protective partition which they have to be because most people are pretty angry when they pick up their cars after they are towed. People were very friendly!Benjamin L.

Pros: Close to campus location. Personnel are trying to help, but this is not their primary business. Cons: Is open 24 hours a day since it is also a tow place. However, I had an 8 am return time and showed up 20 minutes early. Since the online checkin system was not working, they would/could not (not sure which) check me in until 8 am sharp. More seriously, the property is in very bad shape. I tripped over a very large pothole and scraped and banged up my knee, hand and elbow. They let me clean up in the rest room and had a first aid kit. Probably be better if they strictly focus on towing.Margaret R.

Employees here were friendly and helpful. As far as U-Haul goes though this company needs to seriously look at their database. The original U-Haul that I rented over the phone from U-Haul at the ugly duckling that location was stolen apparently. Nobody told me and when I got there I was without the equipment I had rented and needed desperately. I called and was on hold and was disconnected several times over the course of three hours with U-Haul and then sent to another location to pick up a trailer now no longer retract. When I got there their trucks and trailers had been double and trouble blocked. Customers were plating and screaming and the people working there we're about ready to lose their minds. I had no idea why U-Haul had sent me to them as they did not have anything to give me. The man there was nice enough to help me get in touch with metro where they did have a very small trailer left and so I drove over and pick this one up. The employees were great and did their best to help me but I can't imagine that U-Haul will have many employees left F equipment continues to be double and triple booked out and customers treat them the way I saw them treating the employees. Also why does U-Haul not keep unrented equipment back so that they can honor their reservations when equipment breaks down or is stolen. Basically I will not rent again from U-Haul if I can help it not because of the employees but because of the company themselves and their inability to reliably supply the products they rent.Kelly R.

Employees were very nice so I started with that first. I reserved a 15' moving van along with an appliance dolly and furniture pads. When we got there, they had OVERBOOKED and NO dolly's...I did get the furniture pads. They got us a different van but NO RAMP which is why I had reserved the 15' to begin with. Just a very stressful situation when time is very important. Had to get on the phone with Uhaul on Manchester and they were able to locate an appliance dolly at the 2425 Merchant St. location. Of course, had to take the dolly back to that location and then the van back to the 855 Angliana location. Just frustrating.Melissa S.

They were the only good thing about this whole process. Uhaul as a company is disappointing to say the LEAST! Our pick up appointment was 8am at a location up the street from our home. When we got there it was closed and would not be open until 10am even though my appointment had been scheduled for 8am 3 weeks prior. I called customer service and was told that I should have gotten an email and text about the location change but got neither. The location literally changed while I had my account pulled up and were AT THE LOCATION SPECIFIED originally. We were sent to another location across town, which we hurried to. THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN! When I tried to select the pick up truck option it alerted me again that this location would not be open for another two hoursâ€¦.even though it has just redirected me to it because of the same issue at the original place. When I called customer care again, Valery, was not apologetic or even acknowledged the frustration I was feeling. Finally we were directed to metro towing. I had rented dollys and moving blankets which we desperately needed and when I asked Valery if those would still be available for the THIRD truck, she confidently said yes. We got to metro towing and the staff was so kind and understanding of my frustration. They helped us get the truck but sadly NONE OF THE RENTED EQUIPMENT WAS AVAILABLE! Which was not their fault. The main guy apologized and encouraged me to request a refund. Pro tip: don't start online pick up when you get there and they are open; once you start it, they cannot manually help you to make it easier. Metro towing staff was head and shoulders above the terrible service I received which was made even worse when I called uhaul customer service and requested to speak to a manager. I got a different call center employee who did not care to acknowledge or validate my frustration. When I got manager, Michelle, on the phone, her tone was angry and annoyed off the batâ€¦(I hope the calls are recorded â€œfor quality assuranceâ€ so that corporate can track the lunacy I dealt with). I was so tired I didn't even bother explaining how incredibly embarrassing uhaul performed that morningâ€"I requested my refund and thankfully got itâ€"without an ounce of kindness or understanding. I'll pay the more expensive PENSKE price next time if it means I don't have to deal with completely idiots at uhaul. 5/5 stars for Metro Towing though!!William P.

provide a clean cab - the one I rented was very dirty/nasty inside - 1st time I have encountered a dirty one from this location. When providing a utility dolly please walk the dolly to the truck for an elderly female. Also, the truck I rented was/is in need of motor or transmission repair; it was not in good running condition. I generally do not have a problem with uhaul rentals but this one was by far the worst experience to date. However, I got moved! :)Rinda G.

If not for the Metro Employee (not U-Haul) it would have been a complete disaster. I had called and talked to a female who said she would convert my reservation to after hours for pickup and would have an email sent to me with code to key from lock box and to complete my payment and contract. I never got it. Thankfully a Metro Employee was there. He told us to call the 800 U-Haul number. Was put on hold, tried chatting online and got no answer. Finally the Metro Towing Employee called his manager and she gave him the code and instructions for helping me. The vehicle was very dirty in the cab and outside. I spent an hour cleaning the inside from spilled drink and food and trash behind seat and it smelled, and clean all outside windows. There was less gas then the contract reported. I originally made the reservation for the store located on New Circle, Road. I called four days in advance to make my reservation, I then had to call and request for the reservation to be moved a day sooner. I was informed that this was not an issue and that I would have a 15 foot truck waiting for me. I get to the New Circle, Road location, and upon entering the store the women working behind the desk were incredibly rude! They told me that my reservation had been given away, and that they did not have a truck of any size that I could take. There was a woman, another customer, who had left as I was walking in due to her credit card declining in her needing to go find the funds for the rental. The employees informed me that she had made a reservation after me, and she was receiving her 15 foot truck. I informed the employees that my reservation was made before the other customer, also due to her credit card declining I should have first pick at the 15 foot box truck I had made prior reservations for three days in advance. The young lady that I was speaking with ( the other women was assisting someone by this time ) never even apologized! I told her that I would like some type of compensation since my reservation was given away. She then told me that the trucks in the reservation is not guaranteed. I told her the definition of a reservation is to guarantee service. I was told I had to go to another location on the other side of town and that they had a 17 foot truck waiting for me. I was never apologized to, instead they made it as if it was my fault that they gave my reservation away!Heather M.

My original pick up location was in Georgetown. But they didn't leave a key for the truck soâ€¦ after I had already paid for the contract of 110 milesâ€¦ I had to drive 20 minutes out of the way to pick up another one yet my 110 miles didn't changeâ€¦ and I still got charged a flippin 1.36 for 3 miles on the account of their errorâ€¦ sounds silly.
