I tried to do the online check-in on the vehicle and it was a pain to do it and would not work properly it kept saying I do not have a reservation. So I called customer service and customer service was 45 minutes waiting time to talk to her representative to help assist on the check-in process online. Location has a 24/7 drop off sign, but (I found out the next morning) they do NOT offer after-hours drop off due to the excessively high crime rate in the area. Per Staff the next morning, Drop box has previously ripped off, cut off, and sawed off, and the vehicles have been vandalized (damaged, engine parts removed, etc). U-Haul needs to update their information for the site, and the site needs to remove their after-hours drop-off permitted signs to provide accurate information for consumers. When I spoke to Staff the next day, they were very professional and pleasant.Kevin B.

Windshield extremely dirty inside, engine light stayed on, muffler sounded like there wasnt one and fumes came in and gave myself and an 11 year old child migraine, stearing so loose i was all over the road. Had planned on 2 day rental returned a few hours later, and of i didnt HAVE to pick up couch would have returned asap. Totally screwed me with my move plans. And to top it off about 5 staff following out 2 thiefs yelling right next to us. And stood there next to me and a child screaming at the theifs. Not a good experience what so everDeborah O.

I rented this unit at 1:15pm on nov7. It was scheduled to be returned at 415am on nov 8. The gentleman asked for it to be returned when the store opened since the trailer would be left out in the open. I returned it at 815 this morning when they opened and I was charged an additional day. I now have to dispute the charges with my credit card companyCOREY T.

i received TWO calls from Uhaul to tell me that my original "guaranteed reservation" was no longer good, as the truck and/or the tow dolly had been stolen or compromised. considering the term used was GUARANTEED, i would say that was a lie. perhaps you should remove that from the wording of the contract i paid for? in addition, the second rescheduling for my original reservation further moved the location from my home, and forced me to go to 2 separate locations for the truck and tow dolly. also, being totally unsatisfied with this situation, i asked to speak to a "uhaul manager" to voice my displeasure, when uhaul called me less than 24 hours before my reservation, to inform me that my reservation was to be changed. during that call, speaking to the customer service person first, and then a manager.. the manager was completely unprofessional and entirely lying about what they could offer. in describing why and how the truck could have been stolen, which is why my reservation was to be changed for a second time, she referred to the area of the uhaul location as "ghetto". that is absolutely unprofessional and offensive, as she was clearly attempting to inform me that the uhaul location was in a "non-white" area. how does this person make it to management within your corporation, dealing directly with (sometimes very upset) customers, and find it acceptable to use a term like "ghetto" when dealing with people like myself, non-white and currently upset by the current situation with Uhaul??? in addition, when this manager asked me what she could do to somehow satisfy me, i expressed to her that i merely was trying to make it known that i was extremely unhappy with how Uhaul treated my so called "guaranteed reservation". i followed up with a more realistic request for a mileage increase (since i was now needing to head additional miles away just to retrieve the truck and the tow dolly) and a discount of some sort. the manager then made it clear that i would be allocated 100 additional miles to my reservation, and that a $100 discount would be applied when i picked up the truck. i believe neither of those things were true, as the clerk at the Uhaul desk told me when i picked up my truck. absolutely the worst experience, and total dissatisfaction. i will definitely not be using uhaul again, despite this being the second long distance move where i have. in addition, i will let everyone i know of my experience.ZACHARY B.

The truck I rented was not available. It was a guaranteed rental. I ended up with a van which did the job. Not as efficient as a truck would have been. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Peggy J.

Great location, nice employees, but UHaul's mobile checkin process is terrible. After reserving a truck online without a UHaul account, it required me to create an account to do a mobile pickup. If an account is required for mobile pickup why doesn't the UHaul site just require you to set it up after the reservation is booked? Instead I have to burn precious move time creating an account. Then the mobile pickup process needs pictures of my license and myself, which is fine but now I'm burning more time and phone battery. Again, why didn't it have me do that then I reserved the truck? Then it wants more information about me, it wants 2 items from a list of 5. Those items? A copy of my lease (ugh, I didn't bring my lease with me), a copy of my passport (WTH, why would I bring my passport with me), my employer and phone number (I work for a large tech company, there is no number that UHaul should be calling). I'm basically left with listing various contacts, friends and family. UHaul then starts calling them while I'm listing them. Good lord! UHaul did not say they would pre validate the contacts so I didn't know I had to make sure my friends and family were awake and prepared from a call from UHaul so I could pick up a moving truck. Yet again, something UHaul should have asked for when I reserved the truck! Overall I spent 30 minutes in that parking lot just so, at the end, it could tell me to go inside and wait in line to get the keys. What the hell good is a mobile checkin process if I still have to talk to someone who may be busy with other customers? I'm not a fan of UHaul but there isn't really any alternatives for local moving. Go with Penske for long moves, better trucks and much better service.Peter T.

Did not have record or our reservation for car carrier. Truck reservation was screwed up. Had to cancell and reapply for both truck&trailer which took extra time in an already tight schedule. Blew a tire on car trailer on a busy road and found one other tire was down to tread and had to be changed. The whole experience was a poor one.the place we were to return the truck to was closed, my son had to try to communicate by phone to try to find a way to return the truck&trailer, finally the owner showed up at about 12nooon, I'm sure he was called by your company tha we were there waiting for some one to check us in. It was a poor experience overall and I would not choose insulin again. I am an older person and you make it sohard to communicate.Ben PettigrewDOUGLAS C.

The lady behind the counter was terrible and rude. I made the reservation so my boyfriend could pick it up, I called the store to let them know and sent him with the card it was reserved on. She actually told him "never do that again cause it's just a hassle for us and we won't help you next time" well don't worry, next time we won't be using this location. She needs new training or to be moved to somewhere she isn't expected to work with customers.RYAN B.

Mcleandons was great. The manager that helped me was awesome. I will definitely recommend this service anyone moving, etc. It was a little difficult when trying to reserve the specific sized truck we wanted but as soon as I walked in and started the process at mcleandons I felt at ease. The really good folks at McLendon bent over backwards to get my vehicle and on the road. The U-Haul computer system would not accept my drivers license photos even though we all agreed they were clearly legible. It took some time to call a U-Haul rep and get him to accept the pick-up from his end, so to compensate my lost time they rented my dozen blankets for free. Awesome! The customer service from McClendon's was outstanding. Remo was the agent who did everything. He took our reservation, had the rig clean and ready via his associates, checked us in and was there to do the return. He was personable and knowledgeable.
