The return location was cluttered and somewhat unkempt. We were told the trailer should be returned clean but no one came to check the inside, rather the attendant said we were good to leave.

Reserved trailer through Jana in carrollton, since she didn't have what I needed she checked and found one in higginsville, mo. Jana reserved one for me, I called higginsville to confirm the reservation.the lady I talked to said yes it was reserved. She asked if I would pick it up on Friday. I told her it would be Friday late afternoon or Saturday morning . ( my husband is a truck driver wasnt sure when he would be home) she said ok she would note it and it WOULD still be reserved for Saturday. When I got to higginsville " Jeremy" the worker there didn't know where to find my reservation. He call the lady and even tried to call some bob guy.. By this time it is after noon I had been there over 30 minutes already. I tried to get my son to reserve it over the phone he couldn't because it told him the tire shop in higginsville was closed ( this was after we found out my reservation had been canceled) After SEVERAL calls to the 800 number Debbie and Rachael were able to get one reserved for me(3 HOURS LATER) yes 3 hours!!!!! Took the trailer back to Gary in shell rock Iowa and at least he was awesome and knew what he needed to do..Would I rent from uhaul again , I can honestly say I don't know since there are other rental companies out there , but I do know. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH HIGGINSVILLE AGAIN. Jeremy tried but he wasnt trained. Higginsville experience was horrible!!!!!! Should not have taken 3 hours!!!!????

We rented twice. Both times the lady charged us wrong and didn't know what the price needed to be. The second time she wanted me to call customer service because"it works better just in case you had questions" . We had to move other trailers by ourselves to get to the one we needed, then had to hook it up ourselves. They did not inspect it or anything. I'm very disappointed.

Contract unable to be printed at time of checkout due to low ink. Safe Move protection added without customer knowledge and was very difficult to remove/credit back.

I ordered all 3 dollies, but she said they only had a furniture dolly and a utility dolly. So she charged me for the furniture dolly and the utility dolly. After she charged me, she went and talked to someone and came back and said they actually only had a utility dolly and if I could “just wait for maybe an hour” they could find me a furniture dolly. I didn’t have the time to wait, so I asked her to sign that we didn’t receive a furniture dolly like we were charged for, so I wouldn’t be charged at the drop off place for not turning in a dolly. So basically, I was charged $10 for a dolly I didn’t receive and she didn’t know how to fix it or take the charge off once it has been charged. Also, kind of frustrating that they only had 1 of 3 dollies I ordered. Also, there were a few empty soda bottles in the truck and there was a lock but no key with it.

While we didn't realize it until on the road, the hood of the truck turned out to be loose enough that we were concerned that it might spring up driving at highway speed. We adjusted it when we stopped but the same thing happened again. It simply did not fit right, The truck did not sound like it was maintained very well, high whine of the engine and it took enough gas to replace that it worked out to about a dollar a mile, often a sign that the engine needs work. On another note, the local dealer where I reserved the vehicle weeks before had gone out of the UHaul business by the time of my move. I was not notified until I made contact the day before, then found out I had to pick up a truck (30 mi round trip twice) for my time as well as a driver's and the gas for the shuttle, plus rental plus gas plus milage, for a local rental of about 6 miles. Although I explained it to the new agent who tried to help unsuccessfully, I was given a toll free # which was an advertising loop. I found a different # online for customer service which got me an agent who was helpless. I then submitted a complaint via the online contact platform. I received a return call from someone else who was very helpful, seemed to understand that this was a customer service issue and responded. I appreciate this. THANK YOU!

Was VERY difficult to find. Is not marked at all. Was off the beaten path. Staff was not helpful or knowledgeable at all. Did not check in the equipment other than just write time and date on a piece of paper. Was advised I would be contacted if they needed anything else. Was basically told they didn't really know how to take returns (and there was no sign of any U-Haul equipment anywhere) and would have to call someone later in the day. This location needs to be removed from the U-Haul system.
