1st trailer had a tire with low pressure. swapped out for another one on the spot. no issues with that. quick fix!

Amanda SOverall things were acceptable. The drivers side strap wheel strap on the auto-transport was borderline/badly worn. It is difficult to get the end of the strap into the tightening mechanism due to its length (end frayed from dragging on the road/flapping in the wind).
Gary WStaff were friendly, approachable, and just an all around joy to do business with. Their unique hours of operation in our area made it possible to complete our work over the weekend when no other options were available. Truly a pleasure. I will definitely be returning as a customer before ever choosing any other options.

Randy CI would use this location again. I would give a higher rating if there were outdoor lighting for the drop-off area. I had to drop after sunset and it was very difficult to see. I was afraid of getting stuck in the dirt lot or hitting another Uhaul vehicle. Lighting the lot area would really help.
George TWe were one hour short of being charged for an additional day of use of the truck. The customer service person explained the company policy for this.

Steve BBrian and his wife are the epitome of excellent customer service and accommodation. They went above and beyond to make sure that I understood everything and that I had everything I needed. They didn’t push anything and they advised where I knew 100% that their business was about making the customer comfortable and they did that perfectly. I actually drove a little further to rent from them after reading reviews AND I DID NOT REGRET IT AT ALL. If you are trying to decide which company you would like to rent from- GO HERE 12990 M32, LACHINE, MI If you are new to the experience GO HERE. If you are confused about anything, you GO HERE-m32,lachine. If you are worried about doing business with people that would take advantage of you or that may be rude, aggressive, or awkward- YOU GO HERE. When I need to rent anything I will forever go here. Anyway, go here and you can thank me later cause you won’t have an easier/better experience in the rental business than with Brian and his wife. -Fred

Edward W**Truck NOT waterproof. There was a tiny sign that said “truck is water resistant, not waterproof”, so at the last minute I laid beach towels across the floor right inside the door. Each night I had to wring them out and attempt to dry them for the next day. I collected buckets worth of water that would have otherwise been all over my boxes. Customer service was great, prices were competitive and 26’ truck was clean, comfortable, and easy to drive. My only real negative is that the ramp is way too short. It’s so steep that we couldn’t use it for many items, and it was unsafe when we loaded things we had to use a ramp for. I initially thought somehow we had been given the wrong ramp, but when I checked online to see specs for our size truck, I found review after review saying the same thing. UHAUL needs to extend the ramp length.

Pat HI would recommend that this be removed as a UHaul location. Poor customer service. The building containing the business was locked and no customers were allowed inside. I was not given any paperwork to sign. I had to hook and unhook the trailer by myself. I was charged an insurance fee without my knowledge. I was also charged double the stated fee (this was refunded when I disputed it).
Raymond LWas very happy to find the size trailer I needed in the area, no one else had one! The "curbside" service was very confusing. but we worked it out. I was very grateful to the employee who loaned me his personal adapter for the lights, He saved me a trip to Alpena to purchase one. My small plug was not working. THANK YOU!
Tamara KUhaul over all was just a terrible experience for us, but this site takes the cake. First I argued with the guy about my drop off location. He says he had never heard of a drop off in Harrisville, MI. I tell him several times AND showed him the drop off location online. He says he will put down that I’m not sure if there is a drop off location. No. I am sure. Finally tells me he’s not meaning to come off as a know it all, but he knows the regional manager and he never heard of Harrisville having a drop off. Finally he gets on the phone with said regional and he finds out that there is in fact a drop off in Harrisville. Doesn’t matter, because he put that we were dropping off in Sparta in the paperwork. I had never even heard of Sparta Michigan but apparently it is a few hours out of my way. Had uhaul not messaged me about confirming my drop off location, I’d be out money not of my own doing. Then comes time for hitching. He was helpful with showing how to hook the trailer up, but then when it comes time for the electrical plug in, he sees I have a seven way and is about to turn me away. I had to call my dad to ask about the 7 way and he tells me there is an adaptor. I tell the guy and oh hey suddenly there is one I can buy. Cool. I don’t mind buying it but why didn’t he think of this before hand? I also had to tell him twice I was not going to be moving from hillman, which was the old address on the front of my license, to Harrisville, that I was going from Millersburg, which was clearly on the back of my license had he just turned it around. Over all very condescending, but I was desperate for a trailer after getting the jerk around from Uhaul for two days. I had rented a ten footer in a town only a few miles away, get a call and suddenly there is no ten footer. Closest one is in a town 100 miles away. Ok so they give me extra miles and an extra day. That is cool I can deal with that. I drive all the way down, 100 freaking miles, only to find out the ten footer they sent me for was still in freaking Vermont! Never again will I deal with Uhaul of any sort. Terrible customer service, terrible execution, if I could give it negative stars, I would.
Sydney BBeing over charged 132.00 is no laughing matter. My truck was picked up with a garter of a tank. We left it at the drop off with a guater of a tank. Being charged a 30.00 refueling g fee and 82.50 for gas! From empty to a guater of a tank dose not cost 82.50!!!!

Jeremiah HWe were greeted at the door by a gentleman who told us we were 45 minutes late for our reservation and we need to book the reservation thru him and not Uhaul website because he doesn’t make any money that way. He made us wait outside for 20 minutes for him to complete the reservation and he added the insurance on which I didn’t want and refused to remove it. The gentleman was rude and I will never be back or recommend it to anyone. Worst Uhaul experience I have ever had and used them for years to return.

JIM BUpon returning the equipment where the equipment return sign was, the merchant seemed agitated. He tells me i needed to leave it on the vehicle so it can be checked, you didn’t put it in the place where you got it., when i told him i placed it where he has his equip return sign he said i can move that sign. I will never rent from this location again. U-haul needs to screen their distributors better. This is the second extremely poor experience with this company.
David ABrian at the location was very professional. He needs more variety of trailers. The inventory and choices were small.
EDWARD DDon't add insurance without my permission. Help me more in checking the lights. He did help by telling me to turn the hazards on but we missed checking the running lights which had issues. He was friendly and helpful in making sure the hitch was properly hooked up and gave great instructions.

NATHAN JThe gentleman that handled the transaction was condescending and treated me like a child. Equipment reserved on line and he was upset that I did not choose to do everything online and he had to touch my license. Returned equipment to area marked equipment return but he wanted it elsewhere. Had to drive truck to other side of the lot so he could "quarantine" it and then had to walk to other side again to get into my car. He did not want to touch the key. He was confrontational in front of other customers when I returned equipment. Equipment returned early, clean and fueled up. He threatened to turn in my normal rental spot because I suggested he could take a page out of their customer service manual. U-Haul is great just not this location. I will not use again even if they are the only one in the area with equipment.

Dennis GHave the U-Haul full at the time of pickup. I had to put $50 worth of gas in the truck because it was on 1/4 tank. C'mon you can do better than that.
Scott II noticed that I was charged for Insurance on the trailer and I was NEVER given that option. He worked from a tent outside his building and took all my personal information inside. I would have never bought the insurance and I would like a refund. Can you do that?
