The truck had not been swept out and there was a stain on the floor. When I went to return it they tried to say I returned it dirty due to the stain but I made sure they understood it was like that when I picked it up. Overall the service was great and location The truck floor should have been mopped before renting it but it wasn't sticky or smelly so not a big deal.Jennifer A.

The size of the truck was upgraded and I did not know it until I checked it in the night before. I noticed that the truck price was the same as the size I ordered. I would have liked to have notice when the truck size was changed. Luckily I was not driving because I would not have been able to handle the larger truck and would have had to scramble for a truck. Other than that everything was perfect. The oft repeated phrase was "I can make that happen" and he did.Judith L.

I had an auto transport reserved at another location, but when I got there they said they didn't have one. I ended up going to two U-Haul locations then thankfully the 1835 N Washington Blvd had not one but three auto transports. It took over an hour to find a location that had one.Alan B.

I picked up the truck with 1/3 of gas in it. The reservation had where I was going, Ft Lauderdale, a three hour drive. Going to get gas in the truck before getting on the road was unacceptable. Plus smelled horrible, like cigarettes.Samantha C.

I was originally supposed to drop off my truck at Geralds Auto Service. I called to ask their hours and the lady told me she had no room for my truck. She was quite rude on the phone. I had to pass her location on the way to the new drop off point and their lot was half full... Thankfully Maxx Car had excellent customer service and turned my day right around.Russell Y.

The first location I went to pick up my reservation had several computer issues. Did not have the appliance dolly I had reserved. Also tried telling me I had to pay that rental fee on a separate transaction. After 2 failed attempts of putting all my information in and attempting to process my debit card, for a guaranteed reservation, I had to find a second location. Could not have been more pleased with Maxx Car! Clean and superior customer service!! They have gained a new customer.KELLI R.

The owner was on time and the auto transport was already attached to the truck, both of which I really appreciated. However, the trailer lights didn't work - the connector was broken and wouldn't stay hooked up. I had to drive over 1000 miles with no trailer lights. In addition, they failed to attach the chains to the car, which I learned upon drop off, are important for safety. Earlier I had switched my reservation from Penske, where I would have saved $130, to U-Haul precisely because I wanted the trailer hooked up and the car loaded correctly. (Penske won't do those - the customer has to.) Next time I'll insist on picking up from a U-Haul center, not a dealer.Elaine W.

The car dolly had one car security chain that was missing the rubber keeper and kept bouncing loose and dragging, on the fourth stop to reconnect I had to buy zip-ties to secure it in place. Also the dolly's passenger side led stop light had been broken out before and vibrated out and was left dangling by one wire. We had to find screws and tape to put it back in place, again at the side of the highway. We wasted about 2 1/2 hours of our trip â€œFIXINGâ€ things on the dolly at the side of the highway.brandon O.

Max Motors was great but our 2nd changed pickup location was very bad IStorage gave our truck to another customer and had two more waiting for the same truck all overbooked. Our overall experience with Florida U-Haul was bad but our dropoff site in Cookeville Tn was excellent.Rodney R.

Close the back door of the truck before customer drives away with it. Back was empty (of course) when I drove it up to Bradenton, but still. I don't think it should be open while driving. Otherwise, everything else was good.Lauren H.
Had booked for an 8:30am pickup... arrived @ 8:30am - truck was completely blocked in, and no pads. Had to call Uhaul - told he would call the owner... 9:05am - owner finally arrives (poor business practice - you should always arrive 15 minutes early to have the business OPEN @ the posted time) and...other people who arrived well AFTER me were served 1st...and he 'opened' the full shop (ie had to go turn on the A/C, lights, etc.) - FINALLY got the owner's attention (Uhaul never even called him) got the truck and pads...interior of both cab and box were dirty (leaves, etc.) and the steering was so loose it was hard to even keep in in the lane. Add in that I had the 8:30am time booked so that I could get coffee, etc, and be back to my house BEFORE 9:15 when the movers were scheduled to arrive. Couldn't even get coffee, had to RUSH back to the house to ensure I wasn't paying for x3 movers to sit there and wait for me. Nice guys @ the location but this whole rental was a complete chitshow! Worst Uhaul experience I've ever had (and I've rented likely 20 times).Andrew W.

Picked up trailer and was an electrical problem was on my vehicle. After testing found short on trailer in two locations. Light bulb was shorted to trailer that was a prior hit. Also found a green ground wire connected to the lighting circuit white wire. Rental area stated they needed approval from u-haul to repair which would take about five hours to have someone fix and was willing to give us another trailer which was fully loaded. I pointed out the exact issues and personnel remove bad bulb and removed bad wire. We left 14 hours later than scheduled making us late for job.Richard R.
