There was no one there for my 12pm pick up. Called and took 20+ minutes to show. Although Maxx was personable, the location and condition of the trailer was horrendous. The trailer was dirty inside, it was caked with mud on outside and the knob and latch to secure the trailer tongue to the ball kept coming loose.Antone R.
Can I use TWO poop emojis here? The dingy used car lot was in disrepair and closed at roughly 10am on Saturday. I called the number on the door to ask where to leave the trailer. He said he did not want it and told me to drop it somewhere else and abruptly HUNG UP ON ME before I could reply. But this was the address on my contract so I dropped it next to a row of cars. I tried to use the website to confirm location and upload pictures, but the website location feature would not work on 2 different browsers and YES I had the location feature enabled. So I called customer support and was underwhelmed will the unsympathetic twerp handling my call. I drove away very dissatisfied with the experience. Make that 4 poop emojis.Tim R.
The location was very inconvenient. The person I spoke to, multiple times was no help. I turned in my auto transport the day after I checked it out. This company never checked it back in. When I contacted Uhaul, the customer service was great. They made a call and the company checked it in. Unfortunately they returned it on the last day of my reservation and added an after. Hours charge. I sent time stamped photos and had the charge removed. I would not trust this place and definitely will not recommend it to anyone.Andrew G.
This location looks like a chop shop and is the worst place I have ever been to rent a uhaul EVER! I high centered my truck in the mud pits that you have to drive through after the maze of run down cars and was mucking around in a mud pit while I connected the trailer to my truck without any help from the owner or his â€œemployeesâ€. The owner simply told me to text him a picture of it hooked up so he didn't have to go back there. After returning the trailer when the establishment was supposedly closed via Google business hours I was contacted a week later by someone at uhaul stating that I had stolen the trailer and it was never returned because the owner of the business would rather slander my name with a company that I have used many times for many different reasons over the years! The audacity of that bumbling idiot just baffles me! After all of that I contacted uhaul myself and was told that the area manager from uhaul would reach out to me regarding this situation and was never spoken to again. I received an email today with a receipt for over $100 with a $20 charge tacked on for â€œafter hours serviceâ€ . . . What is that? Why would I be charged for something when it was clearly returned before the 48 hours had elapsed per your time stamps at the top left hand corner of the receipt . . . I also have no idea where the address on the receipt came from because I have never lived in that part of the state. This location is an absolute atrocity to this company and should be shut down as a uhaul branded location! I will be purchasing my own equipment from now on and shall never use uhaul again!!!!! Very convenient location for me and they are easy to work with. Fill out all of your information on line before you arrive and you will get through the process quickly when you get on site. They were very friendly here and made my rental process very smooth. When I need another auto trailer or other rental, I will come back here.Whitney M.

Max, was the Rudest man I have ever experienced in my 61 years of life. He told me I could lift the 6 x 12 on my own or I could pay for one of his helpers. He then shouted at me and told me that I did not listen to him what number 6 x 12 he gave me. That was after I hired somebody to help me put it onto my car. The trailer had a flat tire and they got somebody to put air in it. To me the tire looked dry rotted I did make it safely home. He's a very scary manDOROTHY B.
Worst experience as a consumer in my entire life. Employee made me wait for the owner for 30 minutes as they couldn't check me out. Then owner arrives and REFUSED to accept the drop off. He said he had too many on his lot and to go somewhere else on Friday night. Belittled me and refused to check me out in the system. He made me feel very uncomfortable. STAY AWAY.Stephen S.

Waited 45 min for pick up Once attached, the trailer had a flat tire so we had to get another. The staff attaching the trailer were very attentive and helpful. The time spent waiting was on the owner who had to process the paperwork. There were HUGE mud pits in the pick up yard. The whole experience (aside from the yard staff) was absolutely disgusting.Matt H.

Horrible location. Guy renting doesn't speak English and said he doesn't know how to answer the questions that Uhaul is asking him. He also left me to hook up trailer myself which was in the deep mud and couldn't budge it to connect. Took 45 minutes to connect trailer and 45 minutes to fill out paperwork. This location was awful! I had to search to find an associate to speak with to return the unit. When I finally found him he was rude and unfriendly. It was obvious he did not care that I was there or why I was there. I have rented multiple trailers from UHaul in the past and this attendant did not even offer to help with the unhook of the trailer. His lot was a muddy mess that I was uncomfortable driving in to make my drop. If I had known that I would be dropping the trailer at this location I would have thought twice about even renting a trailer from UHaul.WILLIAM B.
I dropped my trailer off 30 minutes early and it was not checked back in until 6 hours later. The person that helped me hook the trailer up asked for a tip. Which normaly i would not have minded. The location has a DIRT parking lot that was turned into a serious mud pit by recent rain with many puddles that were 4-6 inches deep and full of soft mud. The lot was also crowded by junk cars to the point that navigating it was diffidcult without risking collision. I had to use the vehicle I towed on the car hauler (Jeep Wrangler) to put the hauler into the lot so that I did not sink the heavier towing vehicle (Dodge 2500) into the mud and get stuck/make ruts worse. I'm just glad I had 2 4-wheel drive vehicles at my disposal. This made the drop off process take 30-40 minutes as we had to plan and execute logisitics. I also now have to wash the Jeep and its underside of all the mud (like I went wheeling). The personnel not only offered no assistance, but the manager insisted that I HAD TO park the trailer where he directed me. They were not rude, just very unhelpful given the circumstance. Someone without a 4-wheel drive would have been stuck in the mud. I will NEVER use this location again, and I think U-Haul should evaluate their relationship with this dealer.Andrew B.

After I dropped the trailer I called the owner. He wanted me to text him a photo to the number I called. That number couldn't receive texts, but I try. He calls me hours later telling me I dropped the trailer in the wrong spot in his muddy lot, I didn't btw. Someone else did. I just happened to be the only person trying to communicate with this dude. Anyway, I get a different number to send a photo to this dude, and the guy finally leaves me alone.Joshua R.
The owner of the car dealership was awesome!!! Would recommend him if you need a new/ used car!! The distract manager of uhaul however is PURE SHIT!!! was extremely rude during a troubleshooting phone call about my reservation, as well as when I called and spoke with him directly! $400+ for equipment I tried to return or adjust reservation to return within the specified $115 rental period!Katherine M.

Poor customer service with no assistance to the equipment. Damaged items, or areas was told customer problem. All units were placed in muddy, high vegitated areas of property, covered in brush and leaves. Poor access to hooking up.RANDY E.

Due to the disorganization between your headquarters and your agents like this one I had to wait almost an hour to get my truck picked up. Consequently to help me available. This delayed me on returning the truck almost 7 hours. I performed all of the self-serve requirements on my mobile app and yet when I arrived at the pick up location I had to do it all over again!! This makes no Business sense from a business model.MARK A.

Seemed a little unorganized but got me what I needed. As a miscommunication on where I was returning but it all worked out in the emdTY W.
The trailer was covered in mud from the lot being oddly muddy from the area around. I'm disabled and the person told another employee not to help put a different trailer away so I felt like I wasn't able to ask for help getting my trailer on the hitch. I also had insurance added randomly by the location even though I did not ask nor want it. I got charged an extra day due to system issues with website. (This was in no way the locations fault) I did call to explain what happened to the location but they were with other customers and it got closed out charging me an extra day incorrectly and getting insurance. Supposed to have been 30 a day but for 2 day rental I got a bill for $120.... now waiting up to 3 days to get a call to investigate the situation to then wait another week for my bank to give me back my money. Luckily I have screen shots and photos of everything so I'm covered but seems odd with so much proof why customer service couldn't fix the issue? I have rented many many times from uhaul both planned and unplanned moves. In the past they have been great. This one was not. The parking was also small due to cars for the business. I'll be using the other location in Ladson where they are in a tool store. I forget the name of the company but they did awesome. Along with all the other times I rented but this one failed. I will rent with uhaul again as this isn't normal but money is tight and unplanned move for a family member and now in a waiting game to get half my money back. Luckily it's only about $60 but still annoying and makes me change grocery list for the week. Customer service should have more ability to fix things when it's this clear with all the screen shots of everything. I had original order screen shot, conversations screen shot, and timed stamped photos I took of delivery. Seems pretty black and white but I'll wait to talk to regional manager (I think was the title) and see what he says and go from there just annoyed it may slow process down and make me keep dealing with it when hold times are pretty high. 2 hours yesterday and 45 mins today.BRYAN JAMES B.
The place is a mess. I had to back my trailer into a spot that was on the other side of a large mud hole and got mud all over my vehicle. Gentlemen that helped me smelled of booze. Not a good representative of your company.Lars R.
