This was the worst U-Haul location experience that I have ever had. I arrived for my pick-up right at the scheduled time. When I walked in the woman working the front desk was rude. I told her that I was there for a U-Haul pick up, she looked me straight in the eyes and said "Well I don't know how to do that, so you'll have to wait for someone to show up that does." I had to wait for over an hour for someone to finally show up that could process my rental. Once this person showed up, he and the original woman working just argued in front of me the whole time. I finally got the truck and it reeked of cigarettes and animal poop.Nick E.

Notification of when pick up location changes would be awesome, so that we can arrive to the correct pick up location. Having personnel who know how to use the Uhaul pick up system staffed at pick up time would be amazing so that we do not sit there for 45 minutes while someone continuously makes phone calls to people who are supposedly on-site, but sleeping and not possible to get to in-person. Ensuring that you have our rental truck available on site and notifying before pick up time that it is not there would also be a plus. Since they wasted 45 minutes of our time and did not have the 20 foot truck originally booked, we settled for the 10 foot truck that was available. Due to the smaller truck we were going to have to make more than one trip with the truck and had to increase the base mileage. Due to this, the rental now cost more than our initial balance, which was pre-paid. Site refused to grant us any form of refund for our inconvenience or increased charges. They simply said, Uhaul trucks are scarce and it was not their fault the 20 foot Uhaul was not returned to them.Dylan B.

The employee at this location did not know how to check out a Uhaul. I had to wait as they called multiple other employees. They were eventually able to get into contact with an employee that knew how to do it, but they were 30 minutes away. When I arrived at my house to begin moving, I realized they had not provided the moving pads I purchased.Gregory A.

This was by far the worst u-haul experience I have ever had. We arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were closed for deep cleaning. A man came out and said they were open. We went in; the place was filthy. There was a woman and young child, no masks, clutter everywhere. She did not know how to check the truck in. She took a personal phone call and I went out and used the online truck check-in process. I handed her the keys to leave. Never a thank you or even a civilized word. Horrible. I've never felt like I've been screwed over so bad in my 54 years. I rented a car hauler from Elkhart Indiana. And told the man there that I only needed it for two days one way. He said ok. When he was done with my booking he requested 391 dollars and change. The charge was only supposed to be for two days at 89 dollars a day. I question him about it and he told me that the system charge for 5 days, that if I get done in two day and turn in the hauler and the other 3 days would be reimbursed to my bank account. When I arrived at my drop off location. The lady there said that there was no reimbursement for the three days. She said that the system automatically sets time frame for your trip. I've never heard of it taking 5 days to go 1250 miles. Even at 55 miles an hour. I will never rent anything from u haul again. And would suggest anyone else not either unless you want to be screwed over. By None trained people who don't know what there talking about.Malcolm J.
Office was so dark I thought they were closed. Building is old and dirty. Clerk was wearing pajamas, watching TV. She was very nice though. The trailer was in decent shape, but the ratchet tie downs were so rusty we could barely move them.Brent Y.
The Location was a smoking environment, A huge turn-off to me! very dark, and was very difficult to read paperwork at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. While I most likely would not return, I would still recommend them. and let others decide if smoking was an issue for them. A light over the counter would be a huge help.john G.
The guys here were very friendly and helpful. My only issue is two were not wearing masks even though there is a current mask mandate and the door clearly states customers need to wear a mask.Brittany M.

I have disputed this charge with my credit card company. After arriving at 8:45 a.m. to give myself pleanty of time to check in I could get on one to check us in. I called customer service to inform them of the problem and to keep me from being charged extra they gave me an extra day. We took video and pictures of the gas hand because it seemed like they wanted to find something to charge extra for. At 9:07 a.m. a male employee showed up. Before leaving I made one last call to the office to see if he would check us in. He told me he would in 15 to 30 minutes. It was very disturbing to me that he would say that as if not to care that the matter was time sensitive. Reluctantly we went home and checked My Account on UHAUL.COM and found they charged us for gas. If anyone is interested I can send the video and pictures of the gas hand. I don't ever want to use another place that does UHAUL as a sideline. They give the company a bad reputation.Reginald H.

This was one of the filthiest places I've ever been. When we rang the bell we were told there wasn't anybody there to help us. That man was running a different business in same building. I told him we had a reservation and he said he would call somebody which would be 15-20 minutes. The smoke on the building was awful. The unit we rented was nice and clean. Just the intial visit was enough not to go there again!Kathy M.

I placed rental order on line...I get there and there were no trucks...I was sent to 2nd u haul busniess and meet with same no trucks after told there be one waiting...I had to go to 3 business before finding a u haul that was confirmed before I left my house...very dissatisfiedRichard C.

Overall, good experience Tip: Uhaul Representative should let customer know to expect an email about the prerecorded damages. Especially since it is time sensitive. Mysrlf, I take a video of the rental before driving away. And zoom in on damages. I didn't see/know of email until I was returning the rental.Deanna H.
Appointment I was given the wrong vehicle as I received a call from the agent we returned the truck to and they didn't have any record of the truck I was given being rented out. Plus my paperwork said the vehicle I was rented had 3/4 a tank of fuel but the vehicle I was given only had 1/4 tank of fuel.Chad J.

Entrance not clearly marked. Only one person there to help you. Phone was constantly ringing as they were also dispatching taxi cabs. Lead to longer delay in pick up than expected. They also marked that I had picked up the truck an hour before I actually did.Jason G.

Only had 6 of the 12 furniture pads requested. Truck had only 1/4 tank of gas so I had to stop at gas station first before I could even begin loading.David W.
They were gracious to take on my request and get me what I needed when the automated on line system I pre-ordered directed me to mishawaka 30 minutes away when it knew you had NO trucks available. I cancelled but found Hively location. I am totally disappointed in this process and there was nothing simple nor any recourse to rectify the situation and one was not offered.Augustine V.

When I run to the U-Haul the woman did not tell me that there was a hole in the unit and I taped it and that she put on the paperwork that I accepted the risk of water damage she never told me about the leak why would I accept water damage when I am moving my whole house 600 miles away and she knew this I will never recommend U-Haul to anybodyTAMI B.
