This was not a good rental experience. The pick up of the vehicle took over 20 minutes as the clerk didn't have experience with the system. To return the van was another 25 minutes as the system wasn't working and the agent keep asking to use my cellphone to scan a code. I tried contacting customer service but one agent hung up and never returned the call. The interior of the van was also very dirty and had a bad smell. I would like to speak with a customer service supervisor about this bad experience with U-Haul. Thank you!David B.

Improve training in systems for employees at this location. Set up took almost 30 mins and after return the employee could not figure out how to close out and I didn't receive my refund of my deposit for over a week due to the service not being closed out until I called a week later to close out the Return. Very difficult experience I have used this location in the past and it seems they have new owners possibly or just untrained employees. ;(Debra C.
We drove about 23 miles and had ti fill in 11 gallons of gas. Apparently, when we picked up the truck the gas tank was not full, therefore, we got had to pay for it. Front seat had tons of dog hair. Horrible customer service.younus H.

The truck was well maintained, however it was a bit dirty. I had to sweep dirt and debris out of the back before putting our stuff in it. Also there was dog hair in the cab. Overall not bad but the truck wasn't cleaned before I picked it up.curtis T.

The check in process was lengthy but straightforward until the end when we had to upload a picture of the odometer, in which the website wasn't cooperative. The checkout process was even more confusing. The website kept crashing on us when we tried to upload pictures of the odometer again and the cashier in the store tried to help but there wasn't much he could do. In the end he ended up figuring it out and we were able to leave, but I think the mobile website could use some work.Stephen M.

When I picked up truck and did walkthrough noticed entire front of truck was smashed in. This truck was not safe and whenever I traveled over 35 miles an hour the truck would shake violently. Obviously it needs an alignment a mechanic fix. This truck is not safe from driving on the road. Truck shakes violently left and right most of my boxes during moving were falling due to poor condition of truck. Not being able to drive over 35 miles an hour made the experience of moving much longer and dangerous. I told the gas station attendant but he was not proficient time to log a complaint. However I did tell him this truck should not be sent back out until safely fixed.Michael P.

The person on duty spoke English with a very pronounced accent and I could not understand him.ROBERT MICHAEL P.
I went to pick up my 6'x12' U-Haul Trailer at Manchester Road Citgo in Poughkeepsie, NY, and about the only thing that went 'right' was the trailer was there and available to pick up. The location had a single employee working at time, and she needed to stay with the cash register. She knew nothing about how to hook up a trailer and could provide no help. I had to lift the trailer onto the ball all by myself. . . pretty heavy for us 60+ guys, but was able to do it. With a phone call to the local U-Haul store on Rt 9 in Poughkeepsie, a person named Keenan was able to talk me through connecting all the chains. The pick-up location had only 11 of the 24 blankets I ordered. I drove to the U-Haul Location on Rt 9 to get the other 13 blankets, and to have them inspect the trailer hook-up to my truck and confirm all was done correctly. Keenan at that location was very helpful. I'm not sure what U-Haul is thinking letting stores with nobody on site at pick-up time that can provide any assistance with hooking up a trailer serve a U-Haul pick-up location. I was not at all happy with how this pick-up went. .RICHARDL B.

i had a problem with the air conditioning, at my destination, and contacted Uhaul customer service. The representative directed me to roadside assistance. I waited on hold for 20 minutes before hanging up. I called customer service again and got a different agent who gave me the direct number to roadside assistance. I called that number and waited 20 minutes again, hanging up. I finally fixed the problem myself. I paid over $400 for the rental of the truck and this is the first time this has ever happened to me.EDWARDJ JR G.
I was told I was being charged 70c/mile than when I returned the truck I was billed 99c/mile. I drove 69 miles so that is a huge difference. The employee recognized that's exactly what he told me and had to call U-Haul to ask why I was charged so much more. In a time where our family doesn't have much money at all that was very unfair to do to us.SHAWN D.

Location advised me at the time of pick up that ignition key â€œcould not be fully insertedâ€. To start the truck over four days I had to manipulate the key each time I drove it and once it took me several minutes to start with vehicles behind me. At drop-off I advised location to repair ignition before renting vehicle again.Brian K.
I was scheduled to pick up the equipment at 7am, as a mobile pickup, when I arrived, I was informed that my reservation was changed and to enter the building to pickup the equipment. The building is a combo gas station/convenience store and Uhaul. the Clerk began to help me, but whenever a customer came in for coffee or to purchase something, I was told to step aside so that he could " help the customer", this went on for over an hour, before the clerk finally completed my transaction. I wonder where I fit in as the customer, and why I was told to wait so many times while other customers were deemed more important. I was late to my move location. When I returned the equipment I had to take photos of the mileage and gas, the clerk would not step outside and look for himself. The clerk also told me to go back to the equipment and back it into the spot, as he didn't like that I had pulled in nose first. My experience was frustrating.SANDRAMARIE H.

This gas station robbed me via U-Haul. I happen to be a governmental auditor who audits business owners - so I know the type of garbage and lies that business owners pitch. I was over-charged $27 by this location for gas charges, after I filled the gas up to where I had originally started. I had photo evidence to show where it was. The clerk pointed at the contract and said I was supposed to verify the gas was 15/16 before I left. It was at 7/8 which I took a picture of. I confronted him and explained I filled the gas up to the level, right at his gas station, and he said he is not a manager. I filled the gas to where it was, but he charged me for 22.712467 gallons of EZ FUEL SALES which he couldn't explain to me He also gave me 2 prior contracts with customers addresses and phone numbers and credit card info on it! This guy is literally incompetent. And he robbed me. I'm pursuing small claims court against this gas station. I will be writing horrible reviews on my uhaul experience because of this gas station. Shame on this gas station - I am pursuing every avenue I can to make them feel this pain. And it's going to workVANG F.

My truck smelled of cigarette smoke, ashes were on the frone seats, and there was mud in the cargo area. I was very disappointed as this was my 3rd time using the same location. I've had no previous issues.RUTHE O.
I specifically declined insurance coverage, and when we went to return the vehicle, the store owner stated he could not remove the charge, â€œit's only $10.00â€ was his response. I agreed, but that it was my $10, not his to charge. He still refused to return the charge. We rented once before, this past fall, and at that time the same store owner removed the fee for the dolly from our rental and instead he told us that it could only be paid for with cash. He is a cheat, of both consumers and likely Uhaul also.STEVENM C.
