Made a reservation. Got there to pick up a truck and they were closed. No notification or anything. Found a way around it by calling customer service and was granted access to a key lock box. That was fine. Next, I inspected the truck for previous damage and found a quarter-sized chip on the windshield (good thing I took a picture before driving), got the final bill and the proprietor is trying to charge me for it. Nice try
Brian WNo smoking in the vehicles. I'm allergic to tobacco and the vehicle smelled like an ash tray. I will be seeking a different moving company next time
Nathan HTruck was completely out of gas, gas light was on. Also they said was you just have to put gas in it. Won't rent from U-Haul again.
matt nTruck key was not incorrect lock box. It was in the wrong lock box, which was unlocked. Anyone could have obtained the key and stolen the truck. There was also another truck in the law that was unlocked. Contact information for help was not clearly visible, and was not available online.

Charles SUhaul representative could barely use the computer, took almost an hour to complete the contract. Representative did not add the correct drop off location after I requested Ridgefield drop off multiple times. I originally reserved a 10' uhaul but the representative said that I couldn't use that one because it needs to stay at his location so we upgraded to a 15' uhaul so I could use Ridgefield uhaul as a drop off location rather than back at the original location on Main. I returned the uhaul to Ridgefield uhaul location within two hours and used less than 18 miles on the uhaul but was charged $300+ because the incompetent uhaul representative did not update the contract to the correct location we discussed. After calling customer service, she called the representative at his location and he states that he called me to tell me it needed to be returned to main location in Vancouver but I did not receive a call or voicemail from him. I will never use uhaul or refer them to anyone again.

Jodi BThere was not consistent cell service at this location so even when we called for help, we were unable to check in and access the truck in a timely matter. We arrived early and didn't leave until 35 minutes after out check in time.

dylan sI absolutely DO NOT recommend this location under any circumstances. They rented me a filthy 15' truck with dog hair all over the seats, container of sauce on the drivers seat, busted batteries on the floor of the cab, broken glass, trash, dirt and dust covering the floor of the truck. Also, the gas tank was nearly empty. Complete nightmare. She used a different type of scanner than the U-Haul one. Computers not working, credit card scanner not working. She took a photocopy of my license front and back instead of uploading it to my account with their U-Haul scanner. She (Amber) knew it hadn't been cleaned. As we were walking to the truck she said, if it's not clean you should complain. Said that 2-3 times as she ran back to the office which is also a furniture consignment store. This whole experience felt shady and bizarre! If I hadn't already hired 3 guys to load the truck on the other end (and they were waiting for me 20 miles away) where the job started, I wouldn't have followed through with the rental. It felt like it was a big scam. I'm asking for my money back… we'll see I guess.
lori sService was pretty good and they were all nice but the truck that I rented was way under par and not acceptable for use. This could have very easily caused an accident while being driven.
Gunnar LI received an email from the location saying we had unreturned equipment even though it was returned correctly and on time. An email right after was sent with a completion of my order and a receipt that they charged me 54$ on top of the 80$ I already paid for the rental/miles. The pricing makes no sense and I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone to find out what happened or why I was charged so much. The pricing is also misleading in general.
Joshua RIf you go on line to check trailers for hauling trucks it needs to say Long or Short Bed then no confusion.

Oscar FThe gas cap was off and I had to sweep out the uhaul before I put my stuff in it. Also my receipt is for $44.95 but the amount taken from my bank account is for $55.32
Tammy CThose three questions work easy however, the rig itself was terrible. Light, bells and buzzers going off the entire trip. Had to pull over 3 times to cool off the engine also purchased 3 quarts of oil. Very old and hard to drive and I'm a professional school bus driver. This vehicle is UNSAFE and needs to be retired from fleet. Call for further questions.

Dannie HBoth people who assisted me were very kind and friendly. The only thing, I was told to fill up the tank upon return but when I got in the vehicle, it wasn't full to begin with. I figured after my initial submission before leaving (option to take vehicle as is or to update the information of the vehicle) would help calculate the difference so I would be reimbursed. Not sure if this is normal but if I was told to fill it to where it was then I wouldn't have spent the extra money filling it up. Overall, the crew was super friendly, like I said, the truck was clean, and it was a very flexible option for me (as I scheduled pick up 30 minutes before getting the vehicle!! Super awesome for a last minute planner!!)

solomon vThe drop off said he will charge me a $25 cleaning fee because of the dried dirt on the driver's plastic floor. This is Portland Oregon, Southwest Washington trip. It hailed. There was a huge downpour. I wiped up the water and wet dirt from boots but the dried dirt was there from previous rentals. I did not comment on the cleaning when picking up the 15' van because it's Portland Oregon! It rains! It's a moving van and I kept it clean but I'm not going to take a mop and clean the floor as if I work for uhual. Never dropping off here again... ps, we moved to Ridgefield where uhual is founded... I just think it's ironic
Michael RBest little hole in the wall for all you're uhaul needs also look around there are hidden treasures everywhere.. The gentleman behind the counter was a 10 plus in his customer service skills and there was a lady there didn't get her name She was so polite and sweet to my granddaughter let her play while I was busy with paperwork.. Overall 100% better than the last place I rented a uhaul..I will be coming back definitely.. Plus there are a few items I need to buy... Thank you again the Chavira

Allisyn GWe got the trailer and inspected the outside. Got to our location to load and the whole thing was full of trash. It made it difficult to fit everything in that we needed to. It was not ideal to work around the trash.

ANGELAHOPE MI was charged 82.00 plus 30.00 service fee for gas even though i left more gas in it than there was when i picked it up. Said there was a utility dolly in it but gave me an appliance dolly instead. Wouldn't stop talking to me about politics. Not a super experience.
ERIN ACab was full of leaves, after signing contract, went out and he started to clean the U-Haul. U-Haul also had an exhaust leak

LUIS MThe front windshield was filthy! Fully covered with dead bugs,dirt and dust. Even in the inside. The warning light that the window fluid was empty turned on within 3 minutes of leaving the location. This is first time I have rented from this location but I rented cargo vans from other locations several times in the last two months and every single time the front windshield was just as disgusting!! What is the problem?!? Uhaul expects the customer to return the vehicle clean inside! A clear window is a safety issue! The last thing any driver needs when driving an unfamiliar vehicle is the distraction of light bouncing off bug carcases and dirt. Wash the window. Only rent after checking routine fluids!
