1. The customer before us took the key with them so we had to wait 45+ minutes 2. Gas was not as full as manager reported so we got charged $10 when we dropped it off fuller than when we picked it up. We were so tired of waiting that we just jumped in and left vs. pointing it out. Manager should have done better at recording upon drop off!

We tried to do mobile pickup of a van in North Portland. When we got there, we went through the whole pickup process, but the key for the van wasn't in the lockbox. I then waited for probably 15 minutes on the phone to speak with customer service. Once I was able to speak to someone, she let us know that there were no other vans available at that location, but got us set up with a different van in Vancouver. The pickup process went smoothly once we were in Vancouver, but it was frustrating to try to get a van closer to our house and have the keys to it just not be there. Drop off after we used the van was easy and straightforward.

The rental location was great. However the van had a very very strong cigarette smell. Most likely the customer prior smoked a lot in the van. It was quite strong.

This place will not only try to rip you off but commits fraud. Went to pick up a prepaid dolly and the guy tried to charge us again saying the payment did not go thru. Showed him it had and the account had been debited. Rented us a dolly with a broken strap so we were stuck waiting on roadside assistance. Delayed the long trip by 5 hrs. A day after we returned the dolly the location tried to recharge the card, luckily we got an alert from the bank and were able to stop the transaction. Please avoid at all costs.

Maybe it is just the way the van is, but I gave rented it twice and come to learn that the passenger rear sliding door can be difficult to close all the way. You really have to slam it.

The owner lied to me and he told me he's not gonna charge me those extra stuff and when I return the box truck he charged me a price I don't like it the worst U-Haul ever I rent a lot of vehicles before from your house and they were really nice and I understand and work with you this people they don't like to work with people they are assholes I will never rent from there again and I will never send anybody there they are liars

This location was very helpful as they rescued me from a different location that was unable to provide the services they promised at the very last minute. Thank God this location was willing to stay open and save my skin. They were very accommodating.

The folks managing this U-Haul location are very helpful and kind. They helped me trouble shoot my reservation and I super appreciate them. All of my problems were caused by the app/online reservation process It is very unclear how to obtain the code to the key lock box in the app/online. Thankfully these actual humans were there to sort things out.

Everything worked out pretty well for me; however, there was only one very cordial and able employee (Kevin). I was lucky that I was the only customer at the time I needed help. When I came back, just a few hours later, folks were backed up. Kevin (?) was still handling the pressure, and really quite well. Prior to coming to that locale, I'd stopped at the Hwy.99 store, waited in line for 20 minutes, even with multiple employees, only to be told they did NOT have a 10-ft. truck like I needed. They said that they would oblige my request that they call down & reserve said unit at Kevin's Mainstreet Consignment location, but hadn't done so by the time I got there some 20 minutes later.

Kevin went out of his way to be accommodating and helpful. I was on a tight schedule with people waiting to help with the move. Your 24/7 app is cumbersome and it made the rental process very frustrating. I needed assistance and no one answers the phone or responds to chat. It's a horrible replacement for good customer service. Good thing Kevin was there or I would have gone elsewhere.

Fast easy transaction. Pleasurable U-Haul agent was flexible to our needs. Second U-Haul rental within one week or so, but from different states and locations. This rental was very smooth and I did not have to wait too long for assistance. Would use this location again.

a couple things.. The interior front window was not cleaned well and made it hard to see out when driving into the sun. The rest was very clean. Also, the transmission seems to be slipping and should be serviced But as far as customer service... EXCELLENT!

This was the 3rd time the app did not work and was much worse than just walking into rental office. The lockbox where key was located did not work and myself, nor property owner could retrieve the key. The man called U-Haul and I could hear the woman on the phone speak poorly to him, which was extremely uncalled for. Until recently, I've always had great customer service. However, these last three events were quite appalling. I'm completely unsure I will actually use U-Haul again after these experiences.

I told the young lady the truck barely had any oil in it, she assured me (I'm a mechanic with decades of experience) that I didn't know how to properly check the oil. U Haul was and will continue to be my last choice in rentals, I trust this comment will result in ZERO improvement in the notoriously crappy maintenance of these trucks.

April was so beyond helpful to me. I was in a very rough time in my life and still am and she made me feel like family and took care of everything I could possibly need. I would recommend April to any one in the Vancouver Washington area. I am so thankful for her kindness and generosity.

Honestly all I've ever wanted is to make a uhaul reservation and show up to find that the uhaul I reserved actually exists and is in fact there for me to pick up. How is it that reserving a vehicle with you has never actually worked?

When I arrived at the location I entered and heard a lady yelling as well as a few guys, I said I am here to rent the truck I was then prompted by the female to go the other direction because "those nasty guys just farted" I waited for her to finish my contract to sign when she turned to me and said 'this is where I get real with you, I am going to tell you how it is if you lose my key its a $100.00, do not damage or scratch my truck, do not bring it back dirty or I will charge you and if the gas isn't where you found it I will charge you. This was the worst experience I have had with Uhaul and in all honesty, had I not needed it right then I would have taken my business somewhere else. I understand the rules as I have rented before and I know they need to to be explained but I don't feel it needed to be so assertive.

Originally spoke with an associate about booking a van but was told to get a 10' truck instead, and that it would be the same price. When the truck was picked up, the per mileage rate was price was almost double. The associate at pickup was rude, at best, about this discrepancy. After drop off, I was charged for cleaning, with claims that it smelled like garbage. This truck was only used to move a new mattress from factory to home. This charge was reversed after speaking over the phone, but have concerns that other renters could get taken advantage of.
