The attendant knew nothing about the U-Haul business, could not locate the truck and was running a convenience store vs finding the vehicle. THEN when truck was located, it had a tow dolly attached to it, which I had to remove. I'm a72 y/o female!!! Pickup was not a good experience勞Ruth R.

I answered N/A to some of the questions because it's a gas station; not really a commercial U-Haul location. Nobody that really knew much anything about the U-Haul side of it was ever there (I've dropped off 2 trucks there) but at the end of the day, it got taken care of, so I cannot complain.richard J.
Preregistered to save time and then had to wait for the cashier to text the owner my information, had to wait 10 minutes for him to respond. Once he responded I had to get a trailer and then wait for him to text him the information and then wait again for him to text back. I was there over 45 minutes. Once I got home and begin loading I noticed the tag was expired. Tried calling Main Stop and the phone number isn't a working number. Had to call U-Haul and they had to send someone out with another trailer. This is the second time I've had problems at Main stop. The first time the trailer had a broken back door and dry rotted tires. I will never rent from this location again and will drive the extra miles to rent from Deer Lodge. Everytime we get a U-HAUL from Main Stop we have issues. If they are going to rent U-HAULs the owner should be on site or atleast have the cashier able to do everything rather than have to text him and they should keep up with their trailers condition as well as make sure everything is up to date on them. Even the driver that brought another U- Haul said not to rent from them and I should go to Deer Lodge if we ever need another Rental.Donna R.

Returned truck but had to search for drop box. Advised by convenience store drop box inoperable and had to leave key with just a note with my name and phone number. Don't know what I would have done had it been closed.Elizabeth R.
This place charges me for things I didnt get, messed up my order, tried to give me a car hauler that had cut straps, double charged me for the car hauler, and didnt even have 1/4 of a tank of gas in the truck. Plus they didnt know what they were doing and it took forever. I would shut this place down.James K.

Pleased with availability and price! Only major complaint I have is the trailers need a jack on them to assist in connecting the trailer to your vehicle, it is very heavy and I hurt my back trying to put the hitch onto my truck!Joel B.
Worst place ever. The guy wasnt there even though we had a reservation and we ended up having to wait an hour for him to show. Then the trailer was in poor condition and the tire wobbled like crazy. Will never rent from this place againJames K.

No uhaul representative on site. Only the store manager who was not affiliated with uhaul. Nobody to help with inspection of equipment or to help with hooking equipment to my vehicle and doing a safety inspection with my vehicle.MATTHEW D.
I actually rented two trucks in the last two weeks from this location. The first truck was fine other than smelling like sweat and needing swept out before I could use it. The second truck also needed swept but smelled a touch better. While driving this truck it started to rain and within 5 minutes my wife and I were both soaked from water leaking into the cab. Our shirts and pants were soaked. Ridiculous.Thomas H.

Make an advance reservation at another location. The mgr is never in when you call you get a run around. left sevral messages over 3 days and no call back. even u haul reps couldnt get ahold of the mgr. Very unprofessional people here that do not represent the level of service that other locations strive to up hold. Nothing but problems here.GERALD P.

The rental agent was very friendly and professional. He was good about getting the paperwork done in a timely manner so I could get going about my business. The return process was easy and quick. The location was very close to my home and easy access. I am very satisfied with the overall experience. Definitely will use Uhaul again.BRIAN THOMAS S.

To clarify the question of clean and maintained, it was maintained because it ran well, but the back needed swept out and there was some garbage in the cab area also. The truck was also parked in the mud making getting in it difficult. Staff was friendly though but charges were not explained clearly.VERONICA A.

I was told to have the rental back between 1/2 and 5/8. We were just over 1/2 and the guy was rude about it . He said â€œ they are charging you $20.00 to fill up you are not fill up enough .â€ He was not pleasant and rude through out the process of return .Tiffany H.
The people that waited on me were very knowledgeable about their product and what they had available. Being new to an area it was a true blessing to have someone that knew the area. Both people that waited on me made me feel like I mattered. Not just another customer but a person. I would recommend UHAUL to anyone needing a rental vehicle.MARGARET F.
No one was there to receive the vehicle, had to call a supervisor and leave it to be checked in whenever he showed up later that evening. When I picked up the vehicle there was just barely over 1/4 tank of gas, when I dropped it off there was just barely under 1/4 tank and was charged $87 for probably 4 or 5 gallons of gas. Not sure I will use uhaul in the future even though this was all billed to a corporate account.Steven S.
When I received the U-Haul the back door wouldn't latch, the right tail light/ brake light wouldn't work. The tires we're dry rotted and cracked. The left tire also had a bubble in it and bounced excessively. I took it back and the guy said it was fine. I wasn't able to drive over 25mph on the way home. I arrived home and try to call the place back and the number listed for them was not in service. I called Uhaul back and spoke to Mike. He called scheduling and they advise me to take the Uhaul back and have them give me a 5x8 for the same price. I went back to Wartburg and the guy attempted to give me the other 4x8 that was in worse condition than the first one. I explained that scheduling had told me to tell him to upgrade me to the 5x8, he told me that would be more money. I proceeded to tell him that they said I was to have it for the same price. He told me to call scheduling back. He went in the office and slammed the door. His wife took over and ignored me. The gentleman from scheduling had me ask her which 5x8 they wanted me to have. She told me to tell him they had the same information she did in the computer to find it his self. She then went back to ignoring me. Her husband came out and gave me paperwork for the 4x8. I told him I didn't feel safe pulling it because of its condition and he went back in the office and slammed the door. When scheduling assigned me the 5x8 and gave me the number for it. I told his wife the number they assigned me and she went and told him, he printed the paper off threw it at me and walked off. I asked him if I needed to sign anything he said no and you get out of his store. He didn't bother to help me hook the trailer up or anything. The trailer had been sitting so long the tongue was buried in grass and the light hook up was covered in dried mud. Also when he gave me my paperwork he didn't list my initial deposit of 45.10. I didn't need the insurance because my insurance covered anything I was pulling. He said that was fine that I would get the 45.10 back once I returned the Uhaul. When I went to return it today I was unable to get the deposit back because he only listed it on the paperwork for the original Uhaul. So the lady that checked me in an Sunrise Auto told me to file a complaint and tell how extremely rude the initial guy was. I have never had such a bad experience renting a Uhaul as I did at Main Stop. It was like I was bothering him and he didn't have time to address my concerns all he was concerned with was the money. I will never rent from him again, not will I ever go inside his convenient store again. He was extremely rude and has no business renting Uhauls. I have been in Tennessee for 6 years and in those 6 years, the 2 4x8 trailers he tried to give me have not moved from the spots they were parked. It was apparent with how high the grass was around the tires and trailer tongue. I would not recommend this location to my worst enemy.Donna R.
The location your company told us to drop the trailer to was a long narrow road hardly wide enough for a single car let alone a van with a trailer. when we got to the gps location all there was were homes no signs of any uhaul dealer. after a good 45 minutes a lady did answer just to tell us that she is not a uhaul dealer and has been out of business for over a year.She also told us that the uhaul company was told a year ago the same thing. When we called the 800 number all we got was the phone ringing and ringing. we called the dealer who rented the trailer from again there was no answer.we then looked up the nearest dealer who was helpful and we dropped the dam thing there. a day or two later we finally got hold of the dealer that rented us the trailer and to no surprize took no ownership of the problem and was frankly useless.It is now the tenth day of july and we have heard not one word from uhaul. Way to go uhaul. So the next question would be if we would do business with uhaul again the answer would be thanks but no thanks.Tammy P.

The manager who was over the uhaul rentals never returned my phone call or that of my son who picked up the cargo trailer. Fortunately, reserving on line is easy and convenient. The store clerk had to call her husband to wake him up in order for someone to get us logged out with the rental. The location is convenient but the point of contact needs to be improved.Dianna B.

Store was not well marked and the GPS took me by the place 3 times. Tried to call and was put on hold and never got to speak with anybody. Place was in a very â€œundesirable location with sketchy people all around. The people that checked me in took 20 minutes to print a receipt. I left very angry!Gary H.

When returning, the clerk was not helpful at all. Just told us to park the trailer outside anywhere. Never checked out the trailer or gave us a receipt showing we returned it. When we did get the receipt by email, the trailer wasn't even checked in until 2 days later. Even though we had only used it for 24 hours.bethany S.
Have someone on site to check in units. Contract states rented 5/31 and returned on 6/6. Rental date is correct return date was on the 4th charging me 2 extra days. Now I have to take my time and try and correct.David G.

Shop elsewhere I bought the rental insurance and when the truck was stuck in the mud the dealer told me it wasn't covered I had to pay a tow wrecker the insurance is a scam I would not recommend this everJUDITH Y.

The guy that does the rental there wasn't at the store at the time of my reservation. The employees there wouldn't go outside the building to locate the equipment. They called Uhaul and and an employee had me go out in the parking lot to track down the truck and hand truck myself while I was on the phone with said employee. Because of this process I was there much longer than I needed to be.David B.
I reserved the trailer online and declined the insurance. The agent at Main Stop verified that I had declined the coverage. However the receipt charged me for it. The agent said that he would back it out or have the district manager back the charge out. I receive my online receipt today and the $8.00 is still there. The service in Wartburg was okay but overall I was not pleased with the rental process and would like to have the $8.00 credited back to my credit card.Howard G.

The drop off location wasn't organized and needed more communication on what UHaul processes were. The clerk had no idea what to do or what we needed to do. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone dropping off in Wartburg, TN. I advise UHaul to find a different location in Wartburg or make it an immediate priority to visit and train that location.Mark G.

The trailer I rented would not have passed a DOT inspection as one of the license plate lights was damaged and a frame member was twisted. several of the safety chains were missing the hold on rubbers. It was the only trailer like it at the location & I was doing daylight driving so I had damage noted & took the trailer.Thomas G.

Be sure to check the gas level. It was not on full when I pulled out of the parking lot. However, I did completely fill it up when I returned. It was on 3/4 tank. I should have taken it back and verified this before leaving the store. Other than that....the experience was great. Well worth it to me and my moving crew to have the truck and the ramp to load and unload.anita D.
The trailer was an older one but clean and usable. I was not given papers because the 'printer didn't work'. He said he would email them but that never happened. I was given a different drop off than expected and there was no way I would have known that if uhaul hadn't called me along the way to confirm.Donna W.
