VOCTORIA COUCHIt took one hour to reach to someone at the location.. They are all behind the doors and there is no sign to lead.. After getting the truck in a few miles the motor heat increased a lot and we realized that the radiator pipe has a leak. Eventually we returned it back and switched which wasted a lot of precious time for us. Then we returned this one back on time, but it still showed open on my Uhaul app. Then I received an additional bill for additional days..! I called the location and they told that everything shows closed on their side and advised me to call U-Haul customer service. Then I called and fized it, which took another 1 and a half hour wasted. I am not happy at all with this experience.

Ronan GreggAustin is sinister and a dangerous liar that is both cold and calculating narcissistic behavior. He sent us to one of his “ team” members to pick a storage unit only to interrupt our conversation stating “ UHAUL JUST CHANGED THEIR POLICY THERE IS NO LONGER FIRST MONTH STORAGE , YOU HAVE TO PAY THE FIRST MONTH AND THEN THE 2nd MONTH IS FREE !!! Mind you it’s advertised inside of the truck PLUS uhaul representitive from 800 # had informed this policy was indeed still in effect. To make matters even worse I informed this weasel that I had just done a one-way and gotten the first month free. Nothing deterred him from his lies. Also, his team member was equally as shocking. He chimed in with some scary street lingo in support of Austin’s ir reprehensible story to say to us “ umm yes because people usually mark us with that free month.. blah blah nonsense. I felt scared like young man this is a place of business why are you referring to murk anything as if we in some murder. Acronyms like that are very telling. When we inquired about renting the largest storage and in climate-control, he talked down on it saying “ that’s upstairs do you want that” like seriously . It cost more so why would you discourage business like that. Knowing moving is already exhausting and stressful Austin caused us more money because we left with the truck not knowing what to do, it was late and we were women, weak and very exhausted at this point . We had to get a hotel to ( another cost) to watch the truck and rest before we tackled going to another store the following day. UHAL THIS GUY IS DANGEROUS AND HIS CRONIES. Derek is the absolute best I’m telling you. Had I encountered Austin on MY trip, I’d be suing uhaul for the fear, bullying and pain he put my daughter through

PAUL HEYMANwe return the U-Haul two days before the due date. They neglected to check it in and therefore we were charged for “extra days.” I then called uhaul and they reached out to the location I INITIALLY reached out to who told me to call the 1800 number. It’s a bunch of bullshit. I will NEVER and i mean NEVERRRRRRR use this again. Specifically this location but uhaul in general as well. Customer service sucks. Long hold times, no information given, just “communicate with the store manager within 72 hours or callback” I would think as a customer it is NOT my responsibility to have to communicate with anybody about Y’ALL mistake! Not mine, not my driver…. But uhaul for simply neglecting to check in the fucking truck. Now i have unauthorized charges for YOUR mistake if I could rate everything a zero I would. i hate uhaul never again.

Also, don’t use “Moving Help” they never showed up and according to your reviews, they haven’t been showing up the last few months. They wouldn’t answer the phone and the main office phone was. Continually busy.
RICHARD STURDEVANTCheck out process was a headache!!!!!! Tried like 5 times to do the check out when I finished through the website and it just didn’t work! Called customer services 3 times and they told me that it had to be through the website. A total mess this was! My spouse had to try doing it in his phones, and after several tries, it finally went through.

ALEXANDER BLAIRThe cargo van we rented had a used condom in it and it wasn't found until after we started loading the truck. When we brought the van back for drop off the owner of this pickup location told us to call uhaul about it since he was just a drop off and pickup location and not an owner/operator for uhaul. We called uhaul - they did NOTHING about it. They didn't reduce out bill or refund it, they took our complaint and then the manager closed it out 2 days later with no contact even though I asked for them to contact me about it. IT IS ABSURD. I will say this is mostly on uhaul but the location owner for the pickup should have helped us with the uhaul issue.
Deborah HartThe van did not start with 3/4 tank of gas like I was told. There were multiple small roaches crawling around the cab. The local location was not interested in correcting either issue, as I believe they are a drop off spot of the vehicles and they do not manage them per say.

john cavazosMake sure all the extra items I rented are in the truck. The dollies were not there and I had to go back to get them. I also ordered a pack of furniture covers and only received one cover bc they didn’t have anymore.
Kristin Lusbylift jack on the trailer was inoperable. Had to use jack from my truck to raise and lower the front of the trailer for mount and dismount. Service and location were great.

Waqar AhmedWe had a truck booked at another location but the order was incorrect so we had to scramble to make other arrangements. We called this location at the last minute and the manager had a truck that we could rent. We were so grateful. We returned the truck on a day the office was closed but the online check in process was flawless and super easy.
Milton MagnessI rented a truck for five hours and they charge me for hundred miles, they need mile trackers on their truck so people won't get cheated out of their money like I did. I would never use that location again and I hope this never happens at another, but I will be taking pictures for now on.

Camille ReedThe van had a lot of rattling in it. When I turned it on, it gave service reminders for 3 different systems of the vehicle. Most important was the scammy feeling of the pricing. We did a 4 hour van rental, and travelled 35 miles total. The price they quoted was in the $60 range, and the invoice showed a lot of magic numbers - a full day rental, travelling for 107 miles (based on inaccurate initial odometer reading. I had called and corrected this before starting, and have pictures of the odometer before leaving and after returning), and some weird discount applied for maintenance that we didn't do. We sent out a question about the invoice, but got no response. It all feels slimey.

TERRY JACKSONThe truck we rented did not have the furniture dolly that we also rented and caused chaos for our entire scheduled piano move. We had to buy a dolly at home depot because after driving 40 miles to two different uhaul locations, uhaul said they did not have in stock and were running low. (your customer service instructed us to go to different locations and ask for a furniture dolly and said we would be reimbursed for any additional mileage) HUGE headache and disaster of a day as it ruined the plans we had made later in the day. If you offer a dolly rental and the person accepts-- you MUST provide! i would not have rented the truck if I knew the furniture dolly's were not available.

Anthony ParrilloThe van was fine, but acquiring the van was another story. I reserved a van online some days before I came in to retrieve the van. I also completed the online check in process after reserving online. I got a confirmation email telling me that my reservation was set, and I could come in at the agreed time to pick up the van. Great. So when I went to pick up the van, right as I walked into the store, the owner seemed annoyed by my presence. He said that he tried to call me earlier on my cell phone. I told him that I listened to a voice mail that was hard to understand and cut off after not even completing a sentence. I also told him that I tried to call back twice, but each time I tried, it would ring and then hang up on me. He seemed further annoyed, then proceeded to tell me that most people don't even walk into the store, but that they just put in a 4 digit code into the mailbox outside the store to retrieve the van keys. I was confused because I never received any sort of message explaining that I would get a 4 digit code, and that I should just get the van keys from the store mailbox. He then told me that I had to call U-haul to get the code. So I called U-haul, was on hold for about five minutes, then I was told that I had to call a separate number for the code. I then called that number and was subsequently on hold for some minutes after that. The owner then told me to turn off my phone, because he was just going to check me in through the computer. I asked why he didn't just do that in the first place, to which he replied that he would have to cancel the next customer's reservation for the same van because he wasn't going to be there the next day to get it out of the dropbox. I left frustrated and confused. I feel like it would have gone much smoother if I wasn't expected to know about a key retrieval process that was not explained to me prior to arriving for the van pickup. I will probably use U-Haul again, but will never use that location again.

Timothy HellerI received an email stating that equipment had not been returned. I use the vehicle for only 3 hours and returned the same day so I'm not sure how someone came to that conclusion. I returned it with gas that was required along with returning the keys to the office staff
Donna BowersThe store was supposed to open at 9:00 AM and did not open until 9:20 AM. The truck cab and storage area were dirty and the clerk charged me for insurance even though I had declined the coverage. I have rented U-Haul trucks twice within the past two weeks and had numerous issues for both rentals.
Tim WelchMy rental was not available for retrieval until 2 hours after my check-in time. Upon returning the vehicle, the key drop box was missing, so I spent 2 phone calls and about 40 minutes on the phone trying to explain this to U-Haul. Then I had to go back 2 days later to return the key.

I saw it in my bank account online and was upset because we just moved and put the money in thebank for my first House Payment. Amber LoweFirst I want to be clear that the service at this location was fine and my comments below refer to problems with the U-Haul reservation system. We'd originally made a reservation for a cargo van at another location (order number 27960751) and received an email confirmation (there was no indication of limited availibility). When we arrrived (on time) no cargo vans were available. We were then sent to the above location where a different vehicle (10 ft truck) was available. The clerk at the Uhaul of meyerland location did a good job of helping us locate the second rental. However: - This was inconvenient for us and cost us time during a busy day. - We were disappointed that we were unable to rent a cargo van and had extra costs as a result (higher mieage and insurance charges). - It is annoying to have a confirmed reservation and find out no vehicle is available.
