I added a dolly to load the furniture and the lady charge my card for it, without checking her equipment and the tire was flat on it making it useless for me. It’s the worst experience to get charged for something that you don’t even use especially during these times.

The parking lot was small and crowded, mixed with trucks and personal vehicles, so parking the truck was hard/scary. Fortunately, a couple of people were around (one was not affiliated with the store and the other might have been - not clear to me) to help navigate.

The store was in a terrible part of town again and was not marked . No signs and the trucks were hidden behind the building .The woman was terribly rude and very racist . The card reader did not work . She seemed sneaky about swiping the cards too . The truck was junky . The passenger door seal fell off into my wife's lap . The truck sounded like it was about to blow up .The AC kept going off . When it got dark we found out the headlight was out . This was the WORST truck we have ever rented from UHAUL . Our last experience in San Antonio was bad but this one was far worse . We will never use UHAUL again in San Antonio .

The facility is runned down and filthy. Floors a literally covered in dirt and white floor is black due filth. The van I rented had half empty water bottles in the cup holders. The vehicle was dirty inside and out and the interior van portion. Was covered in dog hair. Being allergic to pet dander, I could only stand to use the veh a few hours and had to return it and go rent a truck from Home Depot to complete my move.

Even though the associate was accommodating she had some kind of revival or such on her phone (audio), that was very loud and annoying. Other than that, but trying to concentrate on the matters of closing out the account, we didn't have a problem. I would most probably pick a different drop-off location.

The employee "helping" us was on the phone the entire time, she didn't even acknowledge us while we waited for her to get off of the phone, she never got off of the phone, and there were random people (an elderly woman, a teenager, and a young girl) sitting on the floor of the location on blankets watching youtube videos on a computer monitor.

The equipment was fine, but the location of pickup and business was awful. The building was poorly maintained and had pest insects visibly walking along the floors (ants, roaches, etc). The staff was unprofessional and chatting about personal things right in front of me at the desk. And the staff's children were wandering around unattended, unsupervised, and absolutely causing a ruckus with screaming and wailing, of which there was no correction or redirection from a parent. This location needs a revamp and some retraining.

Made a reservation for 5pm but unforeseen circumstances came up and I wasn’t able to make it till 5:30. I got a call from the clerk at 5:10pmthat if I was still coming to go pick up the rental. I said yes I was just running late bc I had gotten locked out and she said she had to close bc she had to go pick up her son even though the closing time isn’t till 6pm. She said she would return after picking up her son which she did. Which that wasn’t the problem the problem was the attitude she gave me bc I couldn’t be there by 5pm and when ahead and stated she had to return just bc of me and if I would of been there on time she would of gone home after getting her son. Yet the closing time isn’t till 6pm but yet she is closing an hour early. Then the van wasn’t even clean and didn’t even have the dolly ready for me.

Vehicle gas amount and mileage was incorrect in the beginning and because I was not the one that corrected the employee's mistake I was told that I have to pay for the additional fuel. I put my own money into the gas and then was charged additional gas charge.

Don't allow the mobile check in prior to opening if you're not going to make the key available. The mibile process is a ridiculous amount of steps to take to be verified if you have to see the store rep because they refuse access to key. If you see the mobile check in, that has to happen in a back alley, come through and you're standing in your store on the front side of the building take the key to the renter instead if sitting inside. If store isn't going to allow mobile check in, don't have it as an option. If you allow mobile check in, have support assist renter instead of connecting them to random reps that cannot provide the key code.

The store stated they opened at 9am, my reservation was for 9am also. I waited there until 930 until someone finally arrived to open the store. So I got my reservation late and no apologies were given. Very disappointing and will not be using this location again

Office was empty and locked when I arrived for my pick up appointment. 20 minutes later, owner showed up with no explanation, unlocked the door and went back to business. She was unfriendly and disinterested. I will not go back there again.

Rep at counter was slow, eating food while processing my truck paperwork, she did not care that i wz in a hurry and took her seeet time on purpose. Had her kids at work crying while she is trying to close my ticket and took forever again when i dropped off truck. So she presented this work ethic in front of customers includin myself. There was not a drop box to put the keys when dropping off truck I was not able to be there while office hours so I put the keys in the visor however not the safest option however I suppose it worked out.

I rented this 10' truck a couple of weeks ago, and it has the same outside dirt and grime on it that it had then. I complained about how high the truck idled last time and it still idles really high. I have a concern about "in Town", "one way" charges. If I pick up a truck locally, and am moving my stuff across town, I should be able to drop off where I move to without an extra charge.

This was such a horrible experience. The lady behind the desk had her kids running around like if it was a day care and could not understand a word she was saying. I told the lady that we would be using the truck an additional day and would return the next day. She called me in the morning saying that she would report the truck lost or something like that again I could not understand her to save my life. Then when I brought back the truck I put the gas tank how I got it and it even said on the computer when I got the truck how much gas was in it and she refused that it was half a tank when it was just a little over a quarter. I will never rent a u haul truck from this location as long as I’m in San Antonio. Worst experience iv ever had with this company and I wasn’t going to say anything until I saw this costumers comments. I hope that such a big company as this would have better workers under there payroll.

Put up a return truck in the back of the building SIGN. I was a bit confused as to where to park the truck. Put up a return truck here SIGN in the back of the store. I was confused as to if I should park the truck there or not. I just knew I couldn't get it into that little parking spot up front. BUT, I APPRECIATE THE RESPECT GIVEN FROM THE PERSONNEL WORKING THERE. TO ME, IT ALWAYS MAKES A CUSTOMER FEEL GOOD, WHEN THEY ARE TREATED LIKE VALUABLE CUSTOMERS.

When I made the reservation I was told the key would be inside the truck and it would already have the appliance dolly inside. I was supposed to be able to just check in on line and avoid the wait line inside but when I tried to do this I was notified I needed to go inside. When I arrived I had to go inside and wait in line. When it was my turn I was asked for a Third persons name and number as a 'contact'. I also had to pick out an appliance dolly to use even though I was told it wold already be inside the truck. We were told at the last minute that our 10' truck does not have a 'ramp' so we had to upgrade to a larger truck.

the van has a dented fender that hampers the opening of the rider's door / there was dog hair all over the seats / the truck was filthy / there was straw wrappers in the cup holders from previous driver / it was misting rain and when i tried to use the windshield washer it was empty and had to do an emergency stop at a gas station to wash the dust turned to mud off so i could see / the store where i got it from was disgustingly filthy ... a person would be afraid to touch stuff for the filth

No nothing was clean. The van smelled like dogs been living in there for a while, dog hair all over the seats, A/C smelled like dog big time. So I told the employee that I would clean it good but had to give me half off my bill.

The cargo van was filthy both in the cab and the cargo area. It wreaked of cigarettes and had french fries, chips and dirt spread across the dash and the floor. The area clearly hadn't been swept in ages. It also had a USPS mail box inside of it when i picked it up...which, incidentally, is a fineable offense. Also, there windshield wiper fluid reservoir was empty...and the windshield was filthy. The van clearly had not been cleaned in some time. Additionally, upon check out I selected "this truck is not clean enough for another family to rent" because I received it in filthy condition. While I did clean it sufficiently to bear being inside of it, I did not want for another family to have to deal with the grime that I did. The location needs to clean that van. For providing this pertinent feedback I was charged a $25 cleaning fee. I should be charging UHaul a cleaning fee... not the other way around. Regarding the location. The van is parked in an alley behind the store next to the door with #106 (the suite number of the location that is listed on the rental for where to pick up your van). I knocked on the door and the associate told me to walk around the block to get to the front of the building. The associate told me they don't "do business out the back door". I see nothing wrong with this, but don't expect people not to knock on a door with Suite #106 printed on it.. that is literally where UHAUL tells you to go. Perhaps put up a sign on the door that says to walk around the block and back to get to the front door for service would be prudent. Once again, a UHaul dealer has delivered a poor experience. This is the baseline level of expereince from UHaul. It is uncommon that I rent a truck, check in on my phone and walk in to receive keys to a clean vehicle that has a muffler, windshield wipers and fluid, and doesn't have drug needles or rotten food in it. I rent weekly from UHaul, but am actively searching for another convenient option. The convenience of UHaul is no longer worth the problems.

This is the second time within a month I've been here and no one is wearing a mask. I turned in the truck with 7/8 tank of gas and they charge me $17.88 and put on the paperwork that I turned it in with only 3/4 tank.

I was on a time crunch. I called in to reserve the vehicle and was told I would get a call back in a few minutes after to see it up. Well, that never happened. And I advised that I was on the way. When I got there it wasn't set up. I had to wait for the clerk to get back from the store. Service was sub par. Took almost 30 minutes just to get out of there.
