My only minor complaint is that when you are only 1 person it would be great to have power mirrors so you can get the passenger side mirror correct without having to pull over and fix it. In this type of cargo van the side mirrors are critical.CHRISTOPH C.

The cargo van I rented turned out to be brand new, I was the first cstomer to use it. The manager at the site was knowledgable, accomodating, and friendly. The pick-up and return processes were easy and quick. I would rent from this location again and will recommend it to others.WILLIAM C.

Chuck was incredible and professional amid the current crisis that our country is experiencing, he ensured that only one customer was allowed in the store at once, he wore gloves and a mask. Mail Boxes is great to deal with, however U Hauls pricing is ridiculous. It cost me $95 for less than 2 hours and 50 miles worth of driving. I will never use U Haul again.Patrick S.

Chuck in Pompton Lakes, NJ is a super guy!!! great experience with chuck will be using him more in the coming year. I noticed last summer the rates were reduced. I believe it was a daily flat fee each day plus $1.00 / mile. Do you anticipate this again this summer. I need to make 2 trips again, one in July and August. The rep wasn't very helpful and didn't seem to care that the furniture dolly that i had reserved was not there and ready for us. I had also checked out online and it still took too long. He also didn't go over the parameters of the rental â€" specifically pointing out that we had only 23 hours to get the truck back or we would be charged an additional $40!! Ridiculous. Every time i rent with uhaul I tell myself I won't do it again...and then I do. Unless the extra charge is removed, I won't be renting with uhaul again!Rich C.

The location to pick the U-Haul was fine the person behind the counter was extremely friendly, but this location WAS NOT THE LOCATION OR THE TIME THAT I WAS TO RECEIVE THE VAN. I had rented the van from the Columbia Storage Company on Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne New Jersey. The rental was done a week or more in advance and when I went to pick up the van they had rented to someone else. They had stated that I was not to pick up the van until after two where they got that information would be news to me I had never stated that I would be there that late to get the van........and this was not the first time that the storage company messed up my rental..................but it will be the last. I will never give U-Haul a good rating and will always tell people had this company can't get a rental correct.Janet T.

While I did indicate that the truck was clean and well maintained when I stopped to fill the tank with gas after just leaving the pickup spot the truck would not start. The battery was dead but thankfully the gas station helped by providing a jump and all was well after that. I ran the truck for an hour or so before turning it off again and that seemed to do the trick. Needless to say I was quite frustrated for a while.STEVE G.

Express Check In took me 40 minutes? You could not locate my location and I had to call in and it took 2 people to get me going? And you had all the information that was re-required? Like my credit card information. Definitely was not an Express Check In! I specifically made sure that it was supposed to be quick. Extremely frustrating!Richard W.
I am expected to fold the blankets and sweep out the U-haul after I return it.... or else u-haul charges me a fee. The u-haul I got was dirty, the blankets were balled up and dirty. How can I be expected to do something if u-haul doesn't provide that service to begin with?Derek S.

Hold time on corporate line was extremely long over 20 minutes then some how i got connected to another u haul customer on hold also. So we both needed to hang up and start over. Over a half hour of wasted time!!!!Bob B.

The gentleman at this location was very helpful in alleviating, an otherwise bad experience with another of your locations. Last week, I had reserved a cargo van for Monday morning at 9am online. This reservation was made at Americar on Ringwood Ave. in Haskell, NJ. I even called them directly on the Saturday before to confirm the reservation. The guy who answered cut me off when I was explaining why I was calling and said "IF YOU MADE THE RESERVATION, THE CARGOVAN WILL BE HERE!" I said thanks and he hung up. Well, this morning when I came to pick up the van (with my brother who I imposed on to help), we found the cargo van was there like he said, but he was not. The business was closed and when I called the number on the door, the guy that answered had no clue there was a reservation this morning, and he was over a half hour away running some sort of errand, and he would have to turn around and come back. Very angry at this point, I called the location in Pompton Lakes and luckily, the man at Mail Boxes and More had the cargo van I needed. As we were driving away to pick up some furniture, the guy from Americar called and said he was about ten minutes from his business, I said never mind, I found a better location to do business. I hope he was as inconvenienced as I was. Regardless, you should know that Americar on Ringwood Avenue in Haskell, NJ does not necessarily open for business at the times you list online, which renders an online reservation useless! This does not reflect well on Uhaul.DAVID L.

The radio in the van did not work. I wasn't aware of this until after I was already on my 200+ mile trip. Having no working radio was a huge disappointment. Had I known ahead of time, I would have had my own music player handy.kerry G.
I did not appreciate being challenged by the store owner over the fuel level upon my return. I used the guide on the instruction page I was given, indicating that I should return it with 15/16 th of a full tank. I returned it well past that mark but he said it should have been filled.Jeff S.
