I had made a reservation 3 months in advance to pick the truck up in Bismarck ND. However 18 hours prior I was notified that if I wanted a truck I would need to drive over 100 miles one way to another location. When I got there they had a truck but not the 24 blanket. I was again sent to another location for those. NOT a good truck pick up situation...

Make sure equipment is in working order and maybe help assist hooking up the trailer. My dog was dying at the vet and I had to make it back to my vet I had no time to go back so I stopped at a ford dealer to have this repaired.

My experience with U-Haul, while typically very good, were HORRENDOUS this time around. We were told less than 24 hours before our big move that NO 20-FOOT TRUCKS, in the ENTIRE STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA, were available. Instead, my husband and I had to either drive 2 hours west for a vehicle too large for our needs, or 2 hours east for a vehicle too small for our needs. I cannot fathom how incompetent someone would have to be to not know to comings and goings of their inventory at a given time. Furthermore, if a reservation is made a month in advance, your customers are EXPECTING a vehicle to be available. And if not, to be given REASONABLE notice. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in UHaul, and will very likely never utilize their services again. The actual pickup location in Dickinson was fine, and the man who helped me was wonderful. My issues are with Uhaul as a company, not with this particular pickup location.

The location itself was clean, maintained, and staff was friendly. But they did not have an appliance dolly at the time of my check in, even though I had reserved one through uhaul’s website. Though they did try to call other uhaul locations in town to see if they had, unfortunately those either didn’t have one or wasn’t open. I was forced to buy a dolly. Also, the reservation made through uhauls website was wrong when I got there, leading to spending more time at the location checking in to receive equipment. This will be the last time I ever use uhauls website to rent equipment; I will either call location personally to reserve, or use a different company altogether. Overall experience was below average, and I would not recommend using uhaul to others if there is alternatives.

I reserved 20 ft truck got to location and was told they only had 15ft or I could get 26ft but had to have it back at noon . Had to reserve day before because location did not open until noon on Sunday.

I had to give all of my information twice even though it was already in the system, as well as my first born child just to get a trailer I wasn’t guaranteed to get at the time requested. I needed to have the trailer at 8 am ready to go which I was told alll I would have to do is come get since all my information was entered. I finally left with the trailer after an hour and half. Honestly I would’ve been better off going to the bank getting a loan and buying my own damn trailer

The fact that there is not a jack on the trailer is stupid and a liability. I returned it after hours and had to take my own jack out and take it off, luckily there were blocks there so I could get my jack out.

Honestly this was probably my best experience with Uhaul. Not only were both items in the same location, but in the same city. Which in my and friends experiences with Uhaul never happens. The employees at Mac's were polite and helpful.

It was the worker here that pointed out I paid for the appliance dolly but only got the utility one. It looked like I was returning the wrong equipment but he said it was okay and he would look into it.

The truck was really dirty on the outside when received. Furthermore, the amount of fuel in the gas tank as notated on the initial paperwork was inaccurate.

Mac’s did not contact me to confirm the pick up time or that the truck I reserved was there. I had to call the U-Haul location I made the reservation with on Thursday afternoon to verify I had a truck to pick up on Friday afternoon and to find out where I was supposed to pick it up. When the truck was picked up they didn’t have the blankets in any bags, just folded in the box. We learned they should have been in bags when I dropped it off.

We ordered a 26 ft. truck a month ahead of time. Two days before I was to pick it up, they notified me that we would have only a 15ft. truck and a trailer. I was really upset. We had to hook and unhook the trailer to use the small truck. I think Uhaul should refund us part of our money for the inconvenience and the fact that they did not get our order right! I am not a happy customer!

Location was great. Just feel like there was too many added charges. If you pay for the standard rate + per mile + the insurance + fill the tank when you’re done, then the dolly should be complimentary. The pads I understand being charged for because I assume they need to be cleaned between uses. Dolly charge is my only complaint. Thank you for your services!!

The truck we rented smelled like a cat had sprayed in it. We needed to move our belongings from 60 miles away, and it was an 81 degree day. You can imagine how it smelled in the cab. Also, I was quoted one price for a 24 hour rental and got overcharged by $100 dollars. Will not do business again with Uhaul unless they can explain why the extra charges were added.

Nathan was amazing! Due to Uhauls system, my card was double charged and the transactions were no where to be found, which is the last thing someone needs when they're about to move across the country. Nathan went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and make sure my situation got resolved. There was a lot that was out of his control but he did his best. P.s. it took a few days but I eventually got my money back.
