I went to pick up address straight to my home and returned Vehicle to a signed drop off site and was over on mileage. This really needs to be looked into and addressed in the future. I followed Navigation system to shortest distance ?

The entire rental process was great. The clerk who set up the rental for me was pleasant to work with. However, my only complaint is that this particular truck was one of the worst riding vehicles I have ever rode in. There was a very bad shake to the truck. I should have returned for a new one but to the the timing of the trip we could not return. Outside of this issue the rental process was great.

Having to drive 3.5 hrs away to pick up a truck that I “paid a-deposit” fee 30days earlier to guarantee a truck in a nearby location was the biggest mess up possible.

The rental car hauler was not up and ready to go. The 3- DOT rear center and tag lights were not working. An employee there felt that we would be okay to operate it that way, which was unacceptable. Had to request that they be fixed. For $70 rental per day, this equipment should be checked frequently so that it does not cause an inconvenience to the customer.

I rented back in February a 26ft Penske truck that cost about the same as the 15ft Uhaul. Moved over 300 miles with it and only had to use 1 tank....about $80 in diesel. With this move of less than 300 it took over $160 in gas. I ended up spending twice as much on a smaller less quality move than I did back in February. I will not be using uhaul again. And will be highly recommending Penske to anyone I know. This decision has no bearings on the location or the people running the locations. It is solely based on the cost and actual vehicle itself.

The only reason we ended up in South Boston is because a Uhaul agent in Lynchburg wrongly cancelled our reservation. Quwanna offered me no apology and didn’t bother to tell me when my new reservation was confirmed. When I asked why she didn’t tell me she said, “Do I have to tell you everything?” She was the rudest customer service person I’ve ever met. Her mistake cost me 4 hours of moving time. Add on top of this her degrading, callous, attitude and it will be a long time before I ever use Uhaul again, if ever. Kelly in South Boston was just the opposite of Quwanna. Very apologetic and understanding.

Was told there was no dollies after prepaying still don't see the credit back yet for that. Didnt explain the gas instructions on receipt when filling back up.. Truck needle hesitated ight before half a tank and more has was entered that needed.

Charged us for extra mileage that was not correct. When picked up truck salesman noted difference in documented mileage on paper and actual mileage. Stated he would document in the computer so we would not be charged. But receiving company did not notice noted and charged us inappropriately. To improve: be mindful and make sure to read notes in contracts to prevent overcharge

MY order was correct, I have the receipt for WHAT I ORDERED, Picked up the truck, finished, returned it BUT This $19.99 per day, plus allowance of 200 miles has turned into a nightmare. I used my business debt card and when I checked my banking I HAVE BEEN CHARGED OVER $400.00. You bet it's going to get resolved, in the meantime, I'm over drawn, my money is tied up and yes, I'm furious.

She did warn us about the tendency to try to over charge for fuel but told us we had till close of business on Thursday to drop it off which was a big fat lie we found out later with a hefty charge we were not expecting during a long and stressful move!

i dropped off the truck and the key in a key drop box before the truck was due back. I was charged a late fee, claiming i was late in returning the truck, which i was not. This location should have a better way to log the time and date of the return of the truck and key, so customers will not be charged unnecessarily.

If your representative agrees to have a vehicle ready at an agreed to time and date, it damn well needs to be there. The customer should not be expected to drive an hour each way to pick up an alternate vehicle. The customer is not always right but, the customer is always the customer. In this instance U-Haul caused me, the customer, a great deal of inconvenience.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible experience. The pick up location was changed and I had to drive 1 1/2 hours to pick up vehicle!! Vehicle has never been cleaned, such as steering wheel, etc. It was the worst experience I have had. Self pick up directions were not very clear.

I ordered a 10 foot truck and a tow dolly. They didn't have the correct tow dolly so they got me an auto transport instead for the same price as the tow dolly. The representative said he wasn't experienced in hooking up my car but said he would do his best. He told me to have it checked by a mechanic I had help me move a piece of furnuture. When I got to my destination the straps were completely off the tires and the chain was not attached to the frame of my car. I cannot believe how fortunate I was to make it to my destination and not lose my car!!!! Wow is all I can say!!!!!

I would go out of my way to work with this U-Haul location. The service was excellent. They have been doing U-Haul for 30 years, and that experience makes a huge difference. I was picking up a trailer from them using a U-Haul truck I'd picked up at another location, and they took the time to fix a blown fuse on the truck that caused the trailer's turn signals not to work. That attention to detail and care for the customer was wonderful to experience. I wish I could give them 6 stars!
