The truck was dirty, the customer service was ice cold, the initial quote was $94; after I returned from my 4 hour trip-108 miles, I was charged $190 + $23 in gas. Doesn’t seem appropriate. Additionally, rain came while I was on my trip and I attempted to use the vehicle’s wipers- they were completely unserviceable.

People always make the difference. The manager on duty today (August 14, 2023) was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend this ExxonMobil station because this gentleman works here and has a high standard of excellence.

My 24/7 mobile pick up didn't work but fortunately the gas station employee was able to help me. The truck is really nice. I appreciate the ease of the ramp.

Don’t allow for mobile pickup if the place doesn’t do mobile pickup. Reserved the U-Haul for 8 couldn’t get it till 9 because of this. Pretty stupid if you all not to know what services your dealers offer

Have the website ask for all the information up front instead of arbitrarily waiting to ask for driver info after I click the check-in button in an email. At the pickup location it was difficult to back the towing vehicle up to the trailer because of the trucks that were parked across from it. When returning I quickly gave up trying to back it in and resorted to pulling it into the parking space by hand. The man at the counter seemed to be stuck for a while just waiting for his tablet to work. There didn't appear to be any way on the website to switch to a different drop off location without starting over completely. The pickup and dropoff locations had separate edit buttons next to them, but they both were for the pickup location.

The parking situation was absolutely terrible. The people returning trucks can’t drive so they took up multiple spaces leaving it extremely difficult to park and return our truck. I’m also frustrated and disappointed with the app. My papers clearly stated we could return anywhere and the folks at the pick up location were helpful and helped with that because we didn’t know where the closest spot was. When we arrived at DDM to drop off, the app the populates and says we have to drop off at the Exxon now. Which is an additional 20 minutes in the opposite direction thanks to traffic and another $20 in expenses. Then we arrive and no one has policed or organized the parking situation. I get it, not a ton of folks know how to drive larger vehicles well, but the trucks should be parked up by whoever works at that spot so six trucks aren’t taking up 13 spots, leaving next to nowhere to return a 15 footer.

Had an early check in and there was no truck key in the lock box. Had to wait an hour for the location to open but once I went inside found out they were open the whole time. The customer service at the location was bad as well from pick to drop off.

I drive the truck up and back to a city 17 miles away. It had just over a quarter of a rank when I took it out. I used very little gas. The manager, Ronny, insisted that I fill up the entire tank when I returned. I have rented a lot of U-Haul's the last year but am going to check Penske. On top of that the tire and engine warning lights were on when I picked it up. I was under a time limitation to get things dropped off and there were no other trucks of this size. Very bad experience.

Uhaul messed up my reservation, thus the key for before hours pickup (7am) was not available. My day plan was very dependent on getting the Uhaul early, so having to wait until 10am to get my truck was a huge inconvenience to the day. Uhaul only refunded $50 for this, which frankly is not enough considering they took 3 hours of my work for their own mistake.

I returned my uhaul truck at 3 pm on Friday. I asked for them to check in the truck so I wouldn’t get charged for extra time. He held his hand out for the keys and told me to leave and that he wouldn’t be checking the truck in until he was ready to. My paperwork technically allowed me to have the truck until 9 am on Saturday. At 10 am on Saturday, I still had not gotten an email that it was returned. I called uhaul and they had not checked in the truck yet. Luckily the woman on the phone was nice and helpful and was able to call the location. But the worked was extremely rude and held on to checking in the truck so that I would get charged for another day. Will not use Uhaul again, and will tell friends and family to use another service.

At first they said I had to drop the car carrier at a location a hour away. After 30 to 40 mins on the phone with several service people they agreed to take it at that location.

The manager of the location, when attempting to attach the vehicle moving trailer to my car, didn't block the trailer wheels correctly and as a result, rammed the trailer tongue into my bumper denting it and causing over $600 damage. I reported it to Uhaul's insurance company and have had yet to hear back from them.

The worst website for booking and return that exists. The inability to easily reach telephone support, and chat operation is horrible ! The vehicle and location were awesome, but to obtain the vehicle and return it horrible.

There is not the best cellular service at this location, which makes using the Mobile Ap as part of the check-out process a little slow for customers.

The online experience was horrible. Thank goodness the proprietors of the gas station were amazing and helpful! Those U-Haul personnel are fantastic at Mt. Airy Exxon. The app and website were a bear to work with. Calling nation wide customer service was a nightmare. More than an hour wait - got a call back, only to be put on hold for another 30 mins before I hung up. Overall a 5/10. In person customer service could not have been better. But all other experience - the app, website and calling customer service - were horrible.

Make sure existing damage is reported. Give truck FULL of fuel. So can refill back to full. Needle doesn't move spent an extra $50 on gas trying to get it back to 3/4 tank. Dont charge late drop off fee when dropped off early

Pickup up took awhile. I was hoping to do everything online, nut I had to go inside and that took 15 minutes to get the keys. Drop off was easy and fast and able to do everything with the app.

My comments have nothing to do with the location, except that your GPS kept telling me that I wasn't there. Your online check in is Bull Shit, it took longer to get in the truck than I actually used it. Let me rate my U Haul experience, on a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 1.

A few minutes after sitting in the uHaul, my passenger and I started to feel unwell with sinus and severe headache. After a few minutes outside of the vehicle, we started to feel better. The vehicle heavily smelled of stale cigarettes.

Really clumsy check-in procedure. Fantastic vehicle, but for a little truck "15 foot" a real gas hog: 35 miles, 8 gallons. (I have negative comment about on-site check-in and payment procedure that probably doesn't need to be "public"; but the "use our contact" button below, does not connect to a useful screen.)

This vehicle should not be in service. The drivers side front bumper-fender was poorly repaired from an earlier accident. There is was not sufficient clearance between the damaged fender and the tire when steering. The tire rubs the fender because it was not repaired properly. Who approved this repair? A tail light had a missing lens. the light works but could likely have an electrical short if it would have stormed that night. The floor of the cargo area has a plate that has a corner bent up so loading in and out had this obstacle. I rent U-Hauls frequently and probably won't pick up one from this location again. In general this location (Exxon) is run down and poorly maintenanced (inside an out).

This was a gas station - employee was busy checking out customers so it took me a long time to get the trailer. The trailer was very dirty outside - I washed it. The clerk also added on a $40.00 charge that I did not authorize and refused to remove it saying I had to call the 1-800 number.
