Recently I have had to use your service several times. It has been a challenge in every transaction whether it be pick up or drop off locations. Disappointing customer service last minute changes you make without customer regard. It is worth buying a truck rather than continuing use of your lack of service. Being the only rental company around is your only convenience.

Location was closed. It would be nice to have a clear place that they want rentals dropped off at.

JOHN MThe vehicle I reserved was not available. The vehicle was not cleared of snow from the evening before and I had to walk through knee high snow to get to it. Then I had to drive through the deep snow to get it out of the parking lot. Very unprofessional operation overall as the office was very dirty and wreaked of cigarette smoke.
glenn bThe truck smelt sour when I picked it up from the bottle depot in Antigonish, and had to drive it two hours in the stench back to Cape Breton. I cleaned the vehicle far better than what I received it and was still charged a cleaning fee. Then, I rush the entire time to make sure I get the truck back on time and I get a late fee. I was assured by the owner that the time was clocked and he pointed to a camera and said he didn't need any paperwork, this was 3pm in the afternoon… the paperwork says I dropped it off the next day around 10am and got charged a late fee. So in total, I was charged an extra $70 plus tax for two things that I absolutely made sure I wouldn't get charged for. This is extremely unacceptable.
steven rI rented a U haul at a Halifax location. The day before I was told I have a 30 min detour to pick up and then 30 min to get to my destination. I felt manipulated to go and get equipment in a random location so you did not have to do it. I rated below average because it's not where I was supposed to pick up. I accepted as I had no alternative date to move and plans were made quite a while back.

BREANNE BIt was very difficult reaching this site by phone. I was told the Uhaul closed at 5:30. In order to avoid the late fee, that would be charged after business hours, we hurried to unpack and clean the truck , so we would return the vehicle before closing. We arrived at 5:15 pm. This can be verified by the CCTV. The Uhaul person had left the depot for the day. I got charged a cleaning fee of $28.00. I was not late and we had swept and cleaned the truck before returning it. I was very disappointed.

I called Dartmouth office, lengthy wait for rep to pick up and confirmed the rental was in fact dropped off at specific location. I received calls next two days to tell me I didn't return the rental .

DALE WWe ordered our truck from the Beyers Lake location and had to pick it up in musquodobvit harbour (over an hour from our home) . We were then charged for additional mileage which was incurred from driving over an hour back from the pick up location.

ROY BFirst off this was not my location of choice for pick up. I got a call on Friday morning, telling me the trailer had been moved to this location, the lady asked if I really needed the trailer and if the location was okay. I needed the trailer so I told her it was fine even though it was 40 minutes out of the way. When I arrived at the pick up site on Saturday, the man that was working was outside in his vehicle smoking, and he looked like he was ready to leave the property. When I got out of the car to go inside, the man in the car very rudely asked "can I help you" I simple said I was picking up a trailer. He got out of the vehicle and went inside. While we were inside he did not wear a mask (the room is very small so physical distancing was not an option) He started confirming my reservation, without asking me he added the $30.00 insurance, and his debit machine wasn't working so he had to take the card and enter it in the system (which was not something I wanted him to do). The whole experience I had at this location was horrible and I will never be going back.
katrena pI have had good experiences with Lord, I made a reservation online to rent a truck on Tuesday afternoon for a Wed. pickup. But only minutes before the Wed. pickup, Lord called to say they were no longer a UHaul outlet! I do not understand why I was allowed to rent a truck online from an outlet that was no longer working with uhauil. Fortunately Lord was able to get uHaul to agree to one final rental, and I was able to get my work done. But something needs to be fixed in your reservation system. You should not be setting up rentals with companies you are no longer doing business with. Duh. Thanks.

Sherry AUnethical practices You switched my vehicle type and never even told me about it. I spoke to a trafic control manager and he said that they are booked up so early that I would've never even got one. But why are you advertising that you have certain vehicles when you don't? And only letting me know less than 12 hours before my appointment. Had I known you didn't have the size I needed, I would've shopped elsewhere. Terrible customer service I took 6 hours of my work day to try to get a 15 foot truck instead of a 26 foot truck. I got hung up on twice. I asked for a manager three times and two times I was sent back into the queue and had to re-explain myself over and over. Finally after getting a Trafic manager (Devon Mitchell), he did not seem very empathetic that I had to drive an extra hour off the highway to get a truck. All he could do is add an extra day (which I didn't need), and a credit of $25. Felt like a slap in the face for all the crap I had to endure with your company. The worst thing about it all, is that it felt like this was a normal occurrence in your company. I normally don't do this but I will be sharing with friends and family on my social media accounts about my terrible experience.

Dean AOverall the truck worked very good. The front interior windshield was so dirty it was difficult to see out of when it was sunny. U-haul asked us to tow a trailer back. Although the trailer was tested for brake and turn signals that did work, into the drive the running lights were determined to not work on the trailer. Also I understand that reservations added a $60 charge for insurance of the trailer that we should not have been charged for since we did need trailer we justed towed it back for U-Haul. Reservations has since credited us for this.

Corey HLuckily, the agent called me to inform that U-haul had double booked the same vehicle and I was able to sort it before picking up. I am very impressed with this location, not at all impressed with Uhaul.com where I was able to make a 24/7 afterhours reservation for a truck that is both not set up for after-hours pick-up and was already rented.

JANICE MNext time I'd like to know that there is a late fee when returning the truck if it's not right on time. The guy asked us roughly what time we thought it would be back so we just guessed. Had we of known about the late fee we would of guessed later in the day.

I was suppose to be half loaded so it put me way behind I would not recommend this guy to anyone

Robert A1. The truck I reserved was not in stock. They "upgraded" me to a larger truck, longer, more difficult to maneuver, more gas, space was unnecessary. 2. My order pickup location was changed to an hour away 3. My pickup location was closed for 2.5 hrs after my pickup time 4. The moving equipment was not present at my new location. 5. I ended up paying 4 people for 3 hrs while I couldn't pick up my truck and ultimately couldn't move the equipment I rented the truck for because the moving equipment wasn't included. So no, I would not recommend U-Haul to my friends.
