I added gas back to the original level at the location's own gas station, right in front of their eyes. They still charged me for 2 gallons of gas. I only drove 9 miles with the van, and the mpg of that van should be over 20. So I definitely added back more gas than I used. The employee probably misread the meter.
NONG YWhen I went through the U-haul website, they directed me to the independent gas station owner near my house that had a rental van. I booked the van and a dozen pads. When I arrived to pick up the van, there were no pads. I asked the gas station owner about the pads and he said that they don't keep pads, dollies, etc. My recommendation would be that ON the U-haul website, if the website directs someone to an independent business for a rental (vs. from a U-haul center), that the website TELLS the prospective customer before they agree to the rental that independent U-Haul operators don't have pads / dollies, or it won't allow the customer to actually book pads to rent. This wasn't the independent gas station owner's fault, it's from the U-haul website that caused this. I had to go out and buy some pads since I was expecting them from my original rental.

Hanna MI rented an appliance dolly; to my surprise, a Utility dolly was given to me by the dealer; I reminded the dealer that I had rented an appliance dolly I was told that all we have take it or leave it. Also, I checked-in on line expecting every thing to be ready when I arrive to my surprise the truck and other rental accessories were not ready and it took them a long time to get out of there. The truck cargo area was dirty. This was a real bad experience with U-Haul system. I would never give this company my business again. You guys have a systematic problem across the board, scrwed up computer system, screwed up dealers, there is no check for inventory by the dealer against the orders sold by corporate computer system. There is only chaos in this operation.
Michael MI returned the van at 12 and they didn't log it as returned unil 4 then I got charge an extra 48 dollars

Yery JI drove 11.2 miles and yet they charged me for 3 gallons of gas when the average mpg for that vehicle is 18 mpg so I shouldn’t have been charged for gas at all.
