This 20' truck had an EXAUST LEAK!
Cars driving behind us were getting a strong smell filling their cab.
The car we were towing was filled with the smell as well as the uhaul truck cab when we stopped.
Drivers eyes were itchy and red. We had to keep windows down or cracked.

Gas replenishment payout - I left a half tank of gas in the truck which on today’s prices was substantial equating to nearly $50 and was given a credit of $8. A customer as myself trying to mathematically figure what to leave exactly in gas is not always going to be accurate thus U-Haul making a considerate fair refund on gas replenishment would make your company stand out from the rest! I originally rented the truck for two days and I thought it would be enough, but after we started moving it took us longer than we expected. Meanwhile I was treated like I stole the truck even though I paid every time they called me and yes it took longer then I thought it would, but they acted like it is a problem because I kept it longer than I said. No I will not recommend them to anyone. Uhal made hundreds of dollars from me renting this vehicle, but acted like I took the vehicle without paying. I should be able to rent this truck for as long as needed.

I’ve rented several times from Longmont Storage and they always have a clean and fueled-up truck ready for me, even before they open, so I can get my day started early. When I return the rental, they come right out to greet me and make sure everything went well. Better trained & more helpful staff and better maintenance of equipment. The girl who was trying to help me with my trailer checkout didn't know to fully open the hitch ball lock before trying to put it on the ball and struggled with that for like 10 minutes before going inside for help and I did it myself in a minute while she was inside. I even told her that was the issue when she was trying to get it on and she insisted it was all the way open.
On-site refused to help me out with a wrench to flip my ball hitch to raise the trailer up a bit and prevent potential damage to equipment & my vehicle.
The trailer's right turn signal was out and the staff tried to blame it on my vehicle's wiring which I know was functional as it had it repaired at another Uhaul location a few days prior and had tested it myself that morning with a 4-pin tester with no issue.

The guy I spoke with on the phone was extremely helpful. I had a question on times available for pick up of a cargo van, telling him I was hoping for a earlier time slot. This facility is conveniently located, competitively priced, is very clean, and most of all very secure with individualized gate codes, many cameras throughout, and very attentive employees.
While moving some items I left my framed diploma leaning against my car, drove off and didn't realize I was missing my degree until the next day. I returned to the facility and asked if anyone had turned it in as lost and found--no one had, but the manager asked me what time I left and he went back through the video footage and tracked my diploma to a neighbor unit, where a nice person had picked it up for me. The manager called the neighbor unit's owner, she came and gave them the diploma, and they called me to come get it. This was above and beyond and I appreciate Longmont Storage!

I had two different storage lockers, one massive one at 900 sq ft and one small at 100 sq ft over the past three years. The facility was really helpful and relieved the stresses of moving an entire household across the country. Having a great landing spot for our stuff while we shopped for housing was essential. The staff has always been helpful and nice. The facility is clean. The lockers are secure and well lighted at night. I would definitely recommend.

Someone had previously spilled a large cup of coffee inside the 5 X 8 cargo trailer, it was on the front interior wall and on the floor. It was sticky and black, and had box shapes in it. No one at u-Haul had cleaned this mess up prior to renting the trailer out to me.

I have used several storage facilities in Longmont for a couple of different moves. This one is by far the best. They have competitive prices, friendly and professional staff and a transparent contract. When it was time to move out and terminate the contract they were very easy to work with and even gave me a personal reminder call the day prior to confirm and made it clear what the expectations were in regards to the final move out time and removing the lock so that I would not be charged an extra month. If you need a storage facility that is honest and easy to work with I would recommend you use Longmont Storage.

U haul’s should be provided to customers full of gas. I rented twice & it was less than full. One time it was 3/8. Its hard to gauge how to fill it & return it at the exact same level. Both times I filled it past what it was when I received it. Yet… U-haul still charges me for the miles I traveled. They should deduct the mileage charged if I filled it past how it was received. Seems like I’m paying more than I should. I will be shopping around next time for a different storage/moving vehicle company that doesn’t do this.

There was a guy in the front desk who insulted me, he did not give me a name and I never asked. He insulted me right as I was leaving with the dolly. Dolly was handed to me and I was told to take it, normally it is in the truck already or placed in the truck. He was rude and disrespectful.

Overall I had a great experience renting from here! Everyone was always nice and helpful. The only reason for moving out was the cost of rent increasing. I would withhold a recommendation to a friend for the sole reason that every time there’s a fender bender in the neighborhood at Airport and Nelson Roads, the stupid Longmont police shut down the neighborhood for a 5 block area. This happened to me four times in the six or so months that I used the facility. This is also driving from Boulder. I don’t like driving 15 miles just to find out that I have to turn around.

After renting multiple storage spaces here for approximately 18 months, I can attest to the fact that this facility and it's employee team are just the best. They now feel like extended family to me . . . you know, the part of your family that you look forward to encountering. Helpful, kind, patient and on top of it. I recently was trapped into the facility due to a UHaul that had backed too far in and was blacking the gate. There was no one to contact and I was stuck in the facility for an hour before police arrived. A person came out of the building after police arrived and let us out, and it was completely unacceptable that he was there the entire time. Upon returning to move out my items, I noticed a Fire Dept. button on the gate code pad, which should have been there since the facility opened. There was no after hour number, and no one to call.

Rats got into my unit and infested my italian leather furniture that was professionally wrapped for storage. Left a huge mess of droppings all over my things. Moved out before the first but was charged a full month's rent due to not giving 5 days notice. My fault for not reading my contract but should have been advised when I was giving my credit card for auto pay. Will never use this facility again nor will I recommend. The guy you have working there is kind and courteous but the heavy set girl with all the piercings was not friendly and seemed to take joy in the fact that I was being charged a full month for not giving adequate notice.
