Upon return, the app would not register my location, even though GPS was on and every other app using location (Waze, Maps, etc.) was working just fine. But I could not check in the truck because I could not get past the location check. Very upsetting.Phil H.
The people responsible for coordinating the outgoing equipment really need to pay closer attention to the planned move. In our case, there were plenty of much, much newer trucks available, but we were, initially, matched to a vehicle with 168,000+ miles. (Uh, no â€¦ I'm not paying a premium and, then, driving this piece of crap 1,100 â€" 1,300 miles across country. You can save this for the frat boys that need to move their garage sale furniture across town into the frat house.) A mechanic on duty, however, sensed my disappointment and frustration; stepped in; and, swapped out vehicles to one with just under 9,000 miles â€" and much, much better tread life on the tires.Aaron A.

Wam bam thank you ma'am. Got in rented blankets and booked it out to wrap furniture. When I saw the pile of blanket bundles I wept with joy. I jumped back into the pile like it was cash in â€œBreaking Badâ€. Then the fibers got in my nose and I sneezed. Oh yeah I'm allergic to them whoops.JACOB W.

It was a gas station, need I say more? As for U-HAUL CORPORATION: TELL ME IN ADVANCE IF THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH MY RENTAL SO THAT I CAN CLEAR IT UP BEFORE I PICK-UP THE TRUCK!! (this has nothing to do with the facility). Someone had placed a block on me 6 years ago. I don't recall renting anything from U-Haul then as I haven't moved in 21 years. The lady I spoke to on the phone said it was blocked because the last rental was a little late...really? She removed the block with no hesitation. Net, this block added about 30 minutes to my pick-up process time.Kim V.
An awful experience for the second time. Call around 4 the night before. Said they didn't have a truck in my location. Had to drive 46 miles out of my way to get a truck. Picked up my truck. They tried to make me drop o truck at different location miles away. So who was going to take me back to my vehicle????. I did finally speak to a nice woman and worked with me and let me take truck back to pickup location. What a stressful time!Terri P.

It was a little weird just to drop off the truck without anyone to talk too. Just pictures to send in and keys in the drop box. I just felt worried knowing someone could open the back of the truck and take the pads and Dolly. My first time renting a Uhaul. Overall experience was good and I would recommend Uhaul to my friends.PAULA M.

Have a better pickup system. Y'all essentially held our usual hostage for 40 minutes and wouldn't let us take it. Then when we finally had access to it, the gas was almost empty.John W.

The clerk kept insisting that we had not paid yet and that I had to pay. He was stuck in that mode. I'm a school teacher and I tried several approaches, but he was stuck. Basically forcefully thrust the papers at me and told me to sign then after I did he told me I had now paid. I think further training is needed and a way to make things clear or to communicate much more clearly. It could have gone much better. Also, requested and paid for online items were not with the truck, any hand tricks, dolly, appliance hand truck etc. Not a well planned or organized location.STEFAN S.

Truck was not clean. The gas gauge was incorrect on my contract. They said it had 3/4 tank and it was less than 1/2 full. Had to wait for an employee to check me out and I was the only person there. No sense of urgency or just great customer service.Alastair D.

I reserved the van on Friday and went to pick it up on Sunday morning. Had my paperwork and was doing the vehicle check when an elderly gentleman yelled at me to come back. He then informed me that the van had already been reserved. I told him I did reserve it. He said he was saving it for someone who was traveling 1800 miles and I was only going 70. He asked me when I would be bringing it back. I told him 10 p.m. which is what I had reserved it for. He said bring it back before then. The truck had sunflower seeds in the front console, the back part of the van had not been swept out and a piece on the back door was missing 3 bolts and just dangling. I have used U-Haul numerous times and this was my worst experience ever! I will be giving lindell's Chevron a negative Google review.Melissa G.
UHaul's entire system went down the morning I was supposed to pick up the truck and I was unable to pick it up until the following afternoon. The folks a Lindell's Chevron were as helpful as they could be under the circumstances and even finished the check-in process for my truck using a cell phone since the regular computer network was still down. I really appreciated their friendly and helpful attitude through the first-ever computer outage for UHaul of this nature. And the truck I drove nearly 1,500 miles in two days exceeded my expectations for comfort and performance.Jo T.

the person who attended me was defensive, came right out as soon as I was parking, telling me I could not turn in the truck there because it 'was not on his 'list'. I had to show him a text from the regional office allowing me to do so since the original location would not open til 3pm, truck was due by 2pm. was charged $17.95 for going '9' miles over on the odometer, even though I brought it back with more furl than when i got it. pretty petty stuff!Juan D.

Lindell staff is essentially an individually owned gas station that can rent uhauls. With this said, no accountability as it's likely all family staff. Took 25 minutes to help me as the guy in front of me was renting a uhaul truck and they couldn't find the keys. Being I rented a trailer (and first time I've ever used a trailer) the guy helping me (John), was awful, didn't help hook up the ball, incorrectly hooked up the chains (didn't cross them and they drug the ground) and didn't check to see if the brake and signal lights worked (which it wasn't hooked up correct and the tightner for the ball was loose and could still be tightened). I asked him if he's ever hooked up a trailer his response was â€œI've hooked up plenty of trailers but not a uhaulâ€ I left this location as I heard noises and felt something wasn't right and didn't feel safe and went to 620 location, the staff at 620 location identified all the things wrong with the setup and resolved all the issues. I originally went to the 620 location to start my one way reservation, but due to how trailers are turned in that location didn't have any for my pickup time and I had to use Lindell location (as you can see I ended up going to 620 after picking up - fortunately I took side streets for this ~ 2 mile slow drive). Net/net I would not use Lindell for uhaul trailer rentals. This could've turned out really bad, as my safety was potentially jeopardized as well as the hundreds of drivers around me, but listening to my intuition and internal light bulb I was able to not be impacted. I can only imagine if someone didn't have the intuition and proceeded with a long highway trip with incorrectly hooked up equipment, accident and potential deaths waiting to happen. With me posting this comment I'm hoping Uhaul company will at a minimum respond to me directly addressing this issue (we'll see or does this post go unanswered?) but also reach out to Lindells for any corrective actions (and identify other self owned gas stations and readdress safety protocols etc)Anthony W.

Very annoying that the U-Haul app does not let you start your contactless pick-up until the exact time you have it reserved. It was especially annoying because it took about 20-30 minutes to get through the "check-in" process on my phone. It was also very strange that the truck did not come with a full tank of gas. Who wants to go fill up the truck right away when they have a full day of moving?Amber K.
My pickup was complicated, it was supposed to be using the 24/7 TruckShare. But when I arrived at 5 pm it said I was supposed to return when the location opened at 8 am. Then I noticed it said 8 am on the same day. The attendant was able to help me. My request for a utility dolly with the reservation was not included, I don't know when that got lost, but was able to be accommodated. The checkout experience was slow due to the attendant having to also manage the register for the Chevron.SETH T.

The truck was filthy, the utility dolly was not in the truck. The reservation time was a joke i was there on time and did not get service for 30 min while the guy attended everyone in the gas station, I WILL NEVER EVER PICK UP HERE AGAIN. the truck had human toe or finger nails in the cup holders there was candy or something all on the floors the back needed to be swept. Absolutely terrible experience. This location is staffed by a guy that has a severe attitude problem and makes you feel like you're significantly inconveniencing him during interactions with him. On top of that, when I got home I realized that the equipment I ordered with my truck (and got an email confirming was ready) had not been included. I called the guy back only to be told that it was my own fault for not checking and that he didn't have the equipment anyway so I'd have to call around to try to find it.Shane W.
