When we arrived to pick up the U-Haul, there was a note on the cash register that said the cashier went to waffle house and will be back in 20 minutes. Once we were finally able to get the U-Haul, we walked out to inspect it and it was filled with baby cockroaches. We walked back in to tell the cashier and she asked why we couldn't just sweep them out. She ended up giving us a bigger U-Haul but only because we told her that we wouldn't take the one with the cockroaches in it. Absolutely disgusting and the last time I use this.

This Uhaul location: Liberty Highway Foodmart BP was horrible and has a nasty attitude when trying to pickup my Uhaul. I reserved a 15' truck with a auto transport and when I arrived my truck nor my auto transport was ready to be picked up and the auto transport was not hooked up to the truck. I was told by the lady that they don't hook up the transport to the trailer and I would have to do it myself. I was very confused on how they are a Uhaul location but don't do the basics with hooking up their transport to the truck. I am a female and don't know the first thing about hooking up a transport to a truck and the owners were very rude and said they are not doing the hook up and suggested I should call someone to do it. Luckily I had someone to hook it up I otherwise I wouldn't be able to move my items. This location need to be shut down and not be able to run or be a Uhaul location because they are rude and racist to their customers especially African Americans and it's obvious they want the business but not be bothered with customers and only want to run their BP gas station that's it. Never again at this location.

Clerk has a really bad attitude. Also, when I booked the rental, I put the maximum mileage to be driven to 35 miles which left me with a 107.00 estimate. For some reason this jerk imposed a 250 mile range to my rental driving the deposit up to $289.00. There was no reason for this as I had already communicated that I would be returning the vehicle to the same location within 24 hours which is a clear indication that I would be traveling less than the less than the 250 miles added. I'm almost inclined to feel like he added the additional mileage because I'm black. I'm very interested to see what non-African Americans are charged for a deposit at that location. I will never rent another Uhaul from the location.

I had actually put more fuel in the vehicle than was in it when I picked it up which was just barely over a half tank. I had refueled to almost three quarters of a tank. I had taken pictures of the odometer but not the fuel gauge upon picking up. Apparently where I picked vehicle up stated that it was a full tank. I in turn had to put an extra $50 of fuel in which I did not even use. This perturbed me greatly.

The sales people at pick up and return were professional. I was so thankful for them, considering I had a reservation (for the second time) with a different U-haul company in Anderson, and both times there was not a truck for me to pick up (while I had 5 guys waiting to help me unpack my storage unit both times)

It's a gas station on an interstate and there was only one person working there. It was busy, constant flow of people buying gas and snacks, so it probably took longer than it should've to get checked out.

Uhaul needs to allow customers to pick a location. Both the pickup and drop off locations they wanted me to use were 30+ min from where I needed them with several locations on each end that were MUCH closer. Poor experience with Uhaul as a company and won't be using again

I had issues with the app in returning the rental. Luckily the location I was returning to was able to process my return. The issue I had was in taking and submitting the picture for the mileage in the return process. I tried 5 times, but the image didn't upload/register.

When I ordered this online I did NOT want the insurance and made the appropriate selection. When picking up the vehicle the guy added insurance without my knowledge. Total fraud!!!

I had to drive an extra hour to pick up due to somehow being able to select hand delivery at a closed storage company. The lady was helpful but alone and it cost me another 30 minutes while she handled gas station customers.

The location did not offer the mobile pickup... So I was unable to get the vehicle after hours. I came the next morning but they did not open on time... And when they finally got there They did not have the dolly I reserved. Very frustrating!

The local did not have a 15' truck that we requested when booking the reservation online weeks before. They provided us with a 20' truck. The truck smelled SO strongly like marijuana. We spent over 2 hours on the phone with representatives from UHaul trying to figure out how to reserve another truck. I spoke with over 4 representatives. A few of them were nice, but transferred me to the Midlothian, VA office (not sure what was so unclear about me telling them that I was still in Anderson, SC). We finally got in touch with someone from Anderson, SC and she had such an attitude, however she did try to help and found us another 20' truck at another location, but at that point this whole experience was awful we didn't trust getting another truck. We had to spend our own money on cleaning supplies and air fresheners to clean the truck. We will ABSOLUTELY never book with UHaul again after this.

Customer service sucks. They try to force you to take the insurance even if you tell them that you don't want it. I followed instructions given to me by the young man that was working there, but apparently he gave me the wrong information. Even if they tell you to just drop the trailer off, you need to have some one sign off on the date and time or they will over charge you. In addition to the extra day, they charge a service fee if you drop off and not notify them. Even though I was told to just put it back where I got it from. I have used uhaul a dozen times. Never had absurd charges like this. No one has ever complained about me dropping off on the lot. Will never return to this location again.

Well pretty simple. They were closed. Called Uhaul and was sent to another location. Well, they were out of renting uhauls. Sent to another location. They didn't do one ways. Sent to another location and FINALLKY got a uhaul. I'm still owed return money on original contract number 24350960. Please help me get my money.

I have a video. Apparently uhaul has no control over this franchise and the person told me she isn't affiliated with uhaul. Hours I booked were 0800. It doesn't open until 0900. Rebecca from uhaul says it's not uhauls fault. Keep pointing fingers, that always works. Also hired uhauls “muscle”. They never called. Never showed up. I wanted my money back. Called uhaul and Spoke to a manager Rebecca. She said it wasn't a uhaul issue. Apparently uhaul isn't really helpful even though I booked it all through uhaul. All around a complete fail. Never again.

Customer Service Representative didn't speak English, so he called someone and handed me the phone. We were concerned about drop-off as a result. The facility inside is not clean. In the end we ended getting our closed invoice via email and all worked out. The location is perfect for a quick drop-off and location to a highway.

Went to pick up uhaul, had to keep waiting for the employee to wait on customers. I didn't leave till around 3pm, reservation was for 2 pm. After I got the truck, and got almost home, I got a call to turn around and come back because she left a dolly in the back.so that put an additional 10 miles on the truck that I had to pay for because she claimed she told me, but she didn't, my Fri was with me and she said she didn't hear her say that either, I would not have took off. Today I found out $ 160 was charged and then another $80 was charged. I filled the gas I did everything I was supposed too swept truck out, it was pouring rain so I could not get it spotless because everything was so wet. This will be an escalated phone call, I have a recipient for $111.83 so why is money still coming out?

Truck stop - convienence stop type location with one woman to handle everything. Had to wait 15 min. to even start the process, then constant interuptions to wait on store customers & and lotto ticket sales. I made a reservation the night before for my rental. I asked & was assured someone would be there to help lift the trailer tongue up to my hitch ( 77 yrs old here with bad back). Clerk said no help there. But if there was ... it would be $20. extra hook-up charge! Same woman, same situation when I returned the trailer last night !!! I have rented there previously with the conditions present ! The location is conventient ... terrible service !!!

I felt the customer service was poor. The Van was park in the back of the building and I have to get it from there. I'm a 72 year old female and I felt the Van should have been brought to the front and also I had to pump gas when I brought it back and drive it back to the back of the building. Reserved a 26ft one week in advance , when it was time to pick it up they didn't have one. They gave us a 20ft charged us the same rate, they couldn't eve work a deal on the mileage. Even though a smaller truck meant more trips. And then they charged or held $270.on my credit card for a one day rental.

First truck checked out to us was full of roaches and water. Did not look like it had been checked by staff in a while. It was the only truck of that size available, so I doubt it could have been sitting there for that long. We were given the next size-up for the same price and it was perfect.

The online/app based pick-up failed, due to the app suggesting we were in the wrong location. Uhaul had changed the location, due to the availability of the vehicle we were picking up... however the app seemed confused about a discrepancy between where we were physically and where the pickup site was. Fortunately, we picked up the vehicle during business hours and were able to talk to someone at the location who assisted us. Based on this experience, it feels like the online pick-up process needs further refinement.

Monster storage, the first place I tried to rent a uhaul, was horrible. When I showed up they were closed. Uhaul hq didn't know and they referred me to the next closest place which was also a monster storage place. They were closed too. Finally uhaul sent me to the third location. They were open and did a great job Overall I am disappointed with uhaul
