I arrived on time and there was no one there. After waiting 30 minutes, I called the telephone number on the door. I got a lady who could not speak English at all. I will never in my life ever go back there again. She could not understand my name, she could not understand when I spelled it out using words for the letters, and she could not understand my credit card numbers.

Originally I was supposed to pick up in Williamston SC on I believe Webb Road....Bannister Garage. Noone was there at 930 AM, pickup was scheduled for counter pickup at 9AM. They also didn't have at 26' truck on-site. I called their phone number and I got a phone that their mailbox was full. Luckily I was able to call national rental number and switch my pickup location. New pickup location on Liberty Hwy was smooth and went well there. Drop-off at King ST in Charleston was smooth and np issues there as well.

Rented a car trailer to haul my vehicle gave the young kid all the info, after driving 1.5hr drive to find out when I pulled it on the trailer it scrubbed all 4 of my custom rims.... very disappointed

We ordered a 10 foot truck and they said they didn't have any so we paid a little more and got the 15 foot truck they said they had. When we got there they said they didn't have it and all they had were 26 foot trucks and then they charged us more for the truck we didn't even need to begin with.

I had no problem with the Rental Procedure or the Staff at this location. The vehicle was another situation. The Truck was Dirty inside and out, cab was very stinky/cigarette smoke odor, box was full of dirt and trash, ramp was covered with red dirt/mud, gas tank was 1/4 full on acceptance...you could tell the vehicle was parked and then rented with NO Clean Up or Service at all....CHECK ENGINE light came on approximately half way through the trip. **I had to clean the truck up personally before we loaded it and drove to our destination. We were on a tight schedule, otherwise I would have returned it for an alternate vehicle. ------VERY DISSATISFIED WITH VEHICLE OVERALL------- I feel this particular truck should be pulled from the fleet for a complete check up, alignment and tire evaluation, not to mention an engine check up also. IMHO

I was charged $20 for an “after hours service fee” and that was NEVER disclosed to me in any document. I showed up to drop off the rental a day early and was told there is a $20 after hours fee. Unacceptable to not tell people this before hand. Incredibly diasspointed!

The U-Haul AT's are just perfect. They are low profile and tow easily. Penske does not rent their AT's unless the AT is pulled by their rental truck. Go U-Haul !!!

Website sent me to wrong location first. Young man at this location could not assist with hookup and had no idea what he was doing. Had to lift trailer off ground and hook up myself.

The cashier was rude. She kept making remarks and having me walk back and forth down the hill for information she was supposed to get herself. I've previously worked for uhaul so I know procedures. But this experience was just terrible. She also threatened to charge an extra $10 for the dolly when I told her I couldn't lift it out the truck after she previously stated it was fine she could get it out herself.

The cab was dirty. Trash in the floor board. Chips and soda cans. Asked about it when I picked up and the lady said tough and that she only makes 25 dollars on a one way trip. She only cared about the back of the truck.

Personnel was no help . They did not know how or would not connect the car carrier to the truck. They provided us with faulty wiring for the trailer light connection twice. We reserved an appliance dolly that was issued to someone else. The explanation was given that we had a one way rental and they didn't want to save it for us, because they wouldn't get it back. That made moving our refrigerator almost impossible. This was a one way rental across country.

The lady checked out every customer in the store... left from processing my transaction 5+ times. Then she charged me for the insurance and refused to remove it from the paperwork...

The Uhaul website and Food Mart BP website say that opening time is 8AM. However, nobody showed up until 9AM. Very frustrating when you have moving plans already established.

This location was close to my house, that is why I chose to drop off the trailer there. The gas station is nasty! The man working there basically called u-haul and gave me the phone and I gave all the information to the U-haul rep. The man working behind the counter was not wearing shoes and had no inhibitions to lift his shirt and dig in his belly button while I was transferring info over the phone. Very unprofessional.

have some dedicated to serve uhual customer. It toke over an hour because attendant kept waiting on other custmors. Also I still believe I was over charged. I don't have original quote but I thought it said total would be $368.00. However Attendant could not help store being nor issue which made it impossible to use my original quote/ request.

Worker was no help in hooking up trailer...I was told to bring someone with me who knew how, she was the only one in the store and didn't know how either. Location did not have a converter for the light connection...very little equipment there for purchase.

There was no complaints against the LOCATION PER SE....I will say that it was VERY INCONVENIENT to text me 15 mins before pick up that my truck wouldn't be available for another hour. So I'm not sure who was responsible for that but it does change my view of the 24/7 mobile pickup/drop off. I think I'll just stick with an actual Uhaul location next time.

Gas Gauge was not where it said it was it was below. Took 2 and a half hours to get equipment. Person at gas station put in wrong info into wrong name and blamed system glitch. she had to call Customer service 4 times. Tow dolly lights did not work when told she looked at me and said," what do you want me to do" As much as I loved the drop off, I can't say honestly, I will use U-Haul again. I have 2 to 3 more trips from SC to MS to move my Fathers stuff who died recently.Reason for the trucks.

The person checking me out wasn't overly familiar with the U-Haul process, and was also the sole cashier at the gas station where I picked the truck up. She was constantly stopping to check customers out as we were going through the U-Haul check-out process. Forms were first printed out incorrectly as well. Overall a slow process, but I got what I needed and the truck was in working order. Also a bummer that the truck came with only 1/2 of a tank.

Train employees about disconnecting trailers

Provided no help getting trailer off ball to ground- guy at pickup location had a system to help and he was in a wheel chair! I was told they would charge my card 25 dollars if I did not fold return blankets. Never came out to look at trailer. She did as little as possible.

estimated a hundred miles for a local move actual miles were 43.Didn't like the fact that i used a Direct Express.Don't rent the handtrucks.Had to wait while clerk kept leaving us and waiting on store customers. Will go anywhere but Uhaul next time.

Trailer shook at highway speeds (55 mph) even loaded. All chains, straps, lights and connections were in good condition and operated as they should have but ratchet mechanism(s) could use some oil to operate more easily.

The only tricky part was that the person who coordinated me picking up the trailer wasn't on site-the gas station attendant had to call him and I spoke with him on the phone. It didn't hinder our ability to pick it up; it was just a bit unexpected. The gentleman on the phone was very kind and courteous, and was able to help me upgrade our trailer to the next size up, which I greatly appreciated!

I have had the WORST experience using Uhaul for my moving experience. I was supposed to have picked my truck up at 309 Webb Rd, Williamston, SC. I got there and we did the paper work, and Joseph Bannister charged my card. I waited about 15-20 minutes for him to bring me the truck, and he comes back and says "bad news but we got broken into a couple nights ago and a bunch of batters and stuff were stolen out of the uhauls so I don't have a truck for you" and he hands me a receipt where he refunded it and the uhaul number. Im extremely concerned because I've been struggling financially and had saved specifically for this move and didn't have any extra cash really. I asked him when my money would be back, and he said probably tomorrow. I had to be out of the old place by that day so I called uhaul again and explained my situation. And she finally came to a solution. The guy could've just transferred it but I went to the new location. The liberty food mart. She had a uhaul rep call them letting them know to give me a truck because i'd already paid for it i would just have to take it to the williamson location so it could be transferred out. The clerk was VERY rude and didn't want to deal with it. She said "it didn't work that way in her store" and ended up charging me AGAIN. So i'm left with like 21 cents to my name. I call uhaul once more and she called the williamston location to let them know they needed to call credit card processing so i could possibly get my money that night. He said he did but got voicemail and i never heard anything back. then i called again, and they told me to call my bank and that it could possibly be expedited. So i did and they said they couldn't but to call uhaul once more. So again I did and they finally had an authorization code so I call my bank and they're like they still can't do anything. So it's been since the 5th and it's now the 9th and I still don't have my money back. I will NEVER use uhaul again for any moving purposes. I should be refunded the full amount for all of the stress and trouble it's caused me. I wasn't even able to put gas back in the truck because of this, and I'm scared I'm going to get penalized for it which I should because of what happened. WORST experience ever. I didn't even get the truck until about 4:30-5:00

The cashier was completely incompetent. She called someone who claimed to be a manager and wanted to process my credit card over the phone in the middle of the store. I had to call customer support with U-Haul to process my payment. The experience took over 45 minutes and was extremely frustrating. The cashier was not able to give me a printout of the contract or anything. I would not recommend this U-Haul to anyone for any reason. They should not be allowed to rent U-Hauls anymore.
