The equipment I ordered with my rental was not provided.
Stephen RI was charged $199 on day one and $98 three days later.thats $300 .at $40 a day that would have paid for 7 days but the customer service person told me not to drive it if it was damaged on day 4 or 5 so it was parked and I checked into a motel for 2 days I sat waiting for uhaul to pick the damaged truck up or fix it so I could continue moving .they never called or came until day three when I called and complained.i feel like uhaul owes me$ 320 for days left on my rental and$ 240 I spent on motel .And to top it all off uhaul says i owe them $850.bullcrap is what it is
LYDIA CNothing to recommend
charles rLove the fact that it was easy to rent because everything was did over the phone ..The customer service was awesome on the phone and the cashier at the store. Thank You Guys
JOHNNY TAwesome people to work with fast and easy!
HARRY WCan't believe this trailer is still available for rent. Its condition is deplorable!
William CI used the app to do the drop off. When it asked me to take photos around the vehicle, the app disappeared from the screen. When I got back into the app to finish, the drop off option was no longer there.
Ronnie LIt was very good respect and nice person
kent bVery fast service , having a gas station at the premises it is easy to fill up with gas .
Prashant PI will say there were a lot of dents in the one I got and quick claim settlement stickers !! And the staff was rude when dropping it off but great when picking it up so I don't know the truck performed well but 500 for 4 days wasn't great
bryan hThis is an extremely convenient way to drop off your U-Haul rental in a very convenient location. It's all self-serve using the app. There are no people there and the location does have numerous truckers truckstops around you.
David ANormal kind of place for U-Haul.
James LI was not aware a deposit was required at pick up, this kind of info should be included in the reservation process
Nicole RQuick and customer service was great
charles rThe drop off was very easy to use and the mobile instructions quite clear.
David AExplain the website protocol!
robert sThe 20 foot truck was not available as reserved. They gave me. 26 foot which was fine. I had reserved 30 blankets and a dolly which they said they did not have. I called U-Haul and the closest blankets and Dolly were in Greenville 45 minutes away. We made due with out
Alan UThe truck had sticky floor mats probably from spilled drink. Other then that it was a good rental experience
Donald RI did self drop off no one was in location
Derek CLower your per mile prices.
Dale CWebsite selects Safe Move by default. Even when I deselect it, if there's an issue with a field, it seems to select it again. Poor website design allows for over charging.
Joseph ROk so they can speak fluent English and did do it over the phone but put me in a private setting away from others and was really friendly and it didn't cost an arm a leg it I would go here again if I lived in south Carolina
Jackie MTake this vehicle out of service until repairs are done. Air-conditioning and fix the ramp, This is extremely dangerous.
joe fThis location is trying to skirt standard U-Haul procedures. I have rented several trailers in the last few months. At various locations and it standard procedure for the location employee to connect the trailer and take a picture. Whoever was involved in renting the equipment wasn't on site and spoke to me over the phone. The counter clerk call them and then handed me the phone. I was told to hookup the trailer then pull up so the counter clerk could tale the picture. This might not have been so bad but had just been to another U-Haul place where my reservation was and they were closed and dispatch said I couldn't hook it up myself. They directed me to this location where had to hook it up myself. Errrrr
Robert TWhen my grandson (who is 22) and I arrived at the location to pick up the truck the app would not work on my phone or my grandson's phone. Luckily the office was open and someone was there. He did help us get in contact with someone who authorized the local person to give us the keys. They did not have half of the equipment we had requested.
Stephen CNo one at this location had a clue about renting equipment. Upon arrival I had to speak with someone via the attendants personal cell phone to rent the equipment. I also had to give them the number off the trailer I had reserved because they didn't know they had one available. Upon returning the equipment on the same day, a different attendant had no clue. She asked for the key to the trailer multiple times not realizing I was returning a trailer, not a truck. Again, I had to talk to an individual via the persons personal cell phone to check the trailer in. However, days after my return I received a notification that my rental was past due. I then called a nationwide U-Haul number and gave them my information so that they could check in the equipment. Attendants at this location speak very little english and really have no clue when it comes to rentals.
Wes CFirst of all, I went into the store to rent. The clerk did not speak English and had to call a guy and hand me the phone. The man did not introduce himself but took my order over the phone. I spoke to him and told him that I did not want to verbally speak out my credit card info over the phone due to security reasons. He proceeded to ask for my number verbally. I had to repeat it several times which further bothered me. He told me that the truck had a half tank of gas at which it did not. It was between the two lines and just under a half. I did however fill it up to the half way mark to avoid issues. The truck also wreaked of cigarette odor. Today, I have still not been credited on my card the difference in the actual cost. My mileage was roughly 60 miles and only one day of rental. Also, I did not sign a contract nor was I asked to purchase rental insurance. I was charged for this insurance without being told nor agreeing to it. I will not rent from this location again. If any of these issues are not resolved, I will never rent Uhaul again.
BRADLEY WDidn’t speak English, was unfamiliar with return protocol.
Jeffrey MWasn't able to even speak to anyone in store. The gentleman working at the gas station/ store handed me a greasy phone to talk to someone else and do my rental. He had me reading my card number out loud multiple times In store with customers which made me incredibly uncomfortable. It took almost an hour to get the truck keys from beginning to finish. They didn't have the appliance dolly I had originally asked for. The person I spoke with was not really personable at all and seemed like he was distracted by something else on the call. Only reason I went to this location is because they didn't have the size truck I needed at other location. The whole interaction seemed incredibly sketchy.
Amanda LMake sure the fuel and mileage are correct when writing up paperwork if I hadn’t checked I would have been 25 miles over my limit from the start and the fuel gauge was below what was on paperwork
Christopher CWent to get the truck that I reserved at my storage unit and they didn't have it. Had to drive far away to get another one wasted 1 1/12 hours because they didn't have my truck that I reserved and had to waste my time and mileage to go back. I was on a time crunch with my movers I paid. They transferred my reservation to the other place and added protection that I did not put on the first reservation. Go to the other place at a gas station he calls someone up hands me the phone and talked to someone on the phone all they did is ask my name and told me to give the guy the phone back and he gave me the keys. My reservation guarantee owes me $50 no one would help me with that. This company sucks
Monica RShe made it easy to return the trailer.
Brenda CI had a hold of $218 put on my car that I have yet to see put back and this was Sunday.
Jessica SThey had me get all my own blankets and dolly
Stephanie CI went in to pick up my truck. I told the man behind the counter why I was there. He barely spoke English. He picked up a phone, called someone else, and I dealt with someone over the phone. Then I had to go outside and finish my pick up through an ap. When I reserved the truck I specifically said I wanted to do a counter pick up. And that was the end of a reservation that started with multiple emails, with 5 different locations to pick up my truck. I will look at all possible options before I go through this again.
Roger MBrung it back the same day got overcharged 200 dollars wasn't told to check it back In through an app. The people was friendly though and hopefully I do get my money back.
Laquesha kIt's kind of hard to rate this. Original location was Dobbins Bridge Road. Nobody was home and that place looked like something out of a horror film. Shout out to the representative for U-Haul that was able to change my location. She was very helpful, but as far as the Dobbins Bridge location in Anderson, SC needs to be shut down.
Gabriel MHave someone on property to be able to handle renting the trucks.
Craig BI was over charged … I was charged 197 originally with $100 deposit called and kept the U-Haul a couple more nights supposed to be charged $40 extra dollars a day one day I did not even try it and I was charged for over mileage which was never mentioned. Maybe there was a language barrier or maybe I just got deceived not sure, but I would like some of my money back.
Dianna KThey were friendly and were able to answer all the questions
Chathurika KThe lady at the front desk when picking up the UHaul was on the phone making a personal phone call while making us wait and then worked with us while still on the phone. Not the best customer service, but we did get the UHaul after waiting.
Andrea SVery friendly service and quick to get us out the door.
DUANE WI went to pickup the truck with the ap and the ap said I was in the wrong location. I went in the store and had to call a guy on my phone to pick up the truck. He then told me to give my phone to the worker there and they had a conversation about what time she was getting off work. When I returned the truck, I was not given a final total and I was told I would receive a receipt through email. I have yet to receive a receipt. I will use U-Haul again but not this location.
Todd MThe woman who checked me in at the Anderson location was very unprofessional and rude. When I was trying to ask a question about why I had to give her two cards when it took off the one on file she interrupted me and she pointed to the paperwork and said this explains it all not one but twice. When I was expected the truck there were someone's pill box left along with a color book. I tell you this due to the safety if there had been somes small child riding and got a hold of those.
Chelsea RIs our truck cost $681 to drive from Anderson South Carolina to Alpena Michigan, The toe Dolly we ordered for $95 had a broken emergency brake cable, When we Rented the toad alley we were charged $585 to take it!!! Basically a $100 less than renting a 26 foot truck!!! Was extremely upset!!! But we had to rent it we were towing my mother's car!!郎
Greg HI set an appointment and had to wait for an hour and a half just to get it and when I got it maybe 30 minutes down the road the breaks on the trailer messed up on me so I had to get roadside assistance and had to wait till the next day just to get it fixed literally an hour before it had to be returned so I didn't even get to use it. The man who fixed it told me that he could tell that the breaking mechanism had been messed up for a while and they just let me rent it when it was messed up.
Amanda CI have filed a dispute, the drop off location in Anderson was the worst experience ever. Had an issue last time I dropped off with her but overlooked it but will definitely never use her again, renting from or dropping off. Rude and unprofessional! If Uhaul doesn't contact me soon to correct this I'm going to dispute the charges with AMEX.
Marcus NWas charged a fee that was not told up front and then told that it’s required my insurance covers rentals and shouldn’t have been charged this fee
Douglas FWas charged a $200 deposit no location has ever charged me this in the past. Spoke to someone on the phone and they assured me it was only a hold and the final amount would be the total charged but instead the whole $278 settled on my account. I did not drive or use the uhaul $278 worth of miles. Had I know this was going to happen I would've used a different location. Where is my $200 " deposit " and why was I charged so much? Truck was left with the exact amount of gas I started, dolly returned, truck in the same shape and I purchased the insurance so what is the point of purchasing insurance if they just stole my money as a " deposit "
Melissa GI was supposed to pick up the truck from Smart Shed in Pendleton SC. They forgot to set up mobile pickup, they were not there and they did not answer multiple calls or texts. Uhaul arranged for a truck from Liberty Food Mart BP. They were able to help me immediately and they were very professional and kind.
Jill GMy wife had just rented the same UHaul size on July 8th and paid $65.06. The only extra purchased this time was for the dolly which was for $10. The mileage was shorter distance this time. So, why was I charged 98.17? I really liked the service location. However, I don't understand the difference of $33.17? I even put the more gas than was originally in the UHaul
