It took me three different locations to get the truck. The second location had the truck I had reserved but would not let it leave the town as it was deemed a rotational truck. They reported someone should be bringing back my vehicle sometime soon. I was sent to the Shell location but for a bigger truck that was supposed to be at the same contracted price. NOT true. The bigger truck was more expensive but I was told I would get the difference back at time of return. NOT True. The mileage quoted was not granted and in fact said there was no proof of the initial mileage quote. and the statement that gas was included was also not honored and I also had to fill up the truck back to 1/4 full. Not even full so its a guess as to how much fuel to put into it.Robert B.

Worst customer service I have ever used. The person in charge is never there had to wait 40 minutes at pick up she filled her car with gas knowing I was inside waiting. Then on return wasn't there I was told she would be there in 30 minutes and to do it on line when. Had issues with that I wrote time returned mileage down only to be told that could not be right. I still don't know how much I was charged since I did not use all the mileage that expected. Ask to call and leave me a message on amount. Still haven't heard from her!Barbara B.

After the Lynchburg VA experience and the huge bill when turning the truck in at Lexington NC, due to the extra miles, we will never recommend or use your Company again. Also, would discourage anyone considering Uhaul to explore other avenues of transportation to move their belongs!!Cathy J.

I dropped my vehicle off the same day I rented the truck with a quarter gallon more than when I got it. Then I got the receipt it stated I dropped the truck of the following morning after 10am and that I was over my allowed mileage. When I reserved the truck mileage was unlimited, so not sure what happened there.Ronnie P.

The person who accepted the key gave no explanation of how to settle final costs with Uhaul. She was the clerk in the convenience store and was very friendly but that was the extent of my drop off experience. She thanked me and said 'you're good to go'! No equipment on site as far as dollies or furniture pads. The person was so slow (understaffed) that the regional manager had time to drive from charlotte to fix everything. Overall everyone was extremely nice but an hour to check out a uhaul is not realistic. The dolly was broken but the regional manager, James, made a home delivery to trade it out. I would have been absolutely irate if it wasn't for James.david M.

There was mud on tires when we picked it up in Kannapolis. Then we got charged a cleaning fee of 25.00 dollars after we returned to the Lexington location. We kept the entire cab and bed were clean when we returned it. Then when we called to express our concerns, the person we spoke to said to call the manager because she didn't check it in and would have to talk to person who checked it in.Julie L.

Not only do they overcharge but DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY TYPE of credit card or debit card information because even if you give them a cash deposit, they will make unauthorised withdrawal from your account....by far the worst company ever and very expensiveCindy S.
I came to drop off a trailer with NO JACK and was asked to bring the blankets in to the attendant and handed a receipt. That was it. No one came to help unhitch the trailer with NO JACK!! So I asked my three boys to sit on the back so I'd have a little leverage to try and pop it off my hitch. Again, I'm a 125lb female. Got it popped off but then the trailer rolled into a bush with my boys in it because we also were not provided any wheel chocks. Not sure what usually happens when you drop off a rented trailer but I'm pretty sure this isn't how it should go down. I'm also pretty sure I shouldn't have to provide safety gear for a rented trailer. That should be provided with a rental. On top of all this, the cost to rent a trailer for a week to move across the country was the same as my house payment for my $220,000 house. Ridiculous! On two occasions someone from UHaul called inquiring if the rental had been returned. Proving the above location had not done their job and logged the rental returned. There seems to be only one person there that can complete the return transaction.DANNY D.
I had to wait for an associate to come in so I was not able to get the truck at my appointment time. The woman apologized and reduced my rate by $10. I was alittle upset that I had to wait, but ultimately it wasn't a huge deal. The associates were very nice.MICHAEL N.

The gas gauge took ten minutes after the tank was full to register full. This may be a mechanical issue, but it looks to the Customer like it was intentional. That really burns me up because it caused me to overfill it a lot. I got charged $25 for a cleaning charge for a couple of footprints on the cab steps in the rain, but gave you more than this in extra gas.DAVID B.

The individual who took return of vehicle said she could not give us a receipt. No mileage or gas reading was taken nor was the vehicle inspected upon return. My husband and I were very uncomfortable and called 1-800 #. The on-line receipt I was e-mailed is inaccurate. The vehicle was returned to location the 27th. of Dec. at approx. 1:45 PM.Mary D.

you have charged my checking acct $27 for gas. I have pictures of the before I drove off the lot in WV and after I dropped it off in Lexington. it is the same. I left it on 3/8 tank of gas as instructed to do. This action taken by you has caused my checking acct to be overdrawn. Fix this please. I had reserved a truck with Budget and had to cancel a few days before moving my college son home because they couldn't provide a truck at a location anywhere near us. UHaul customer service (scheduling) was so very helpful and kind. Haley, the manager at the location in Lexington was wonderful as well. She assured me the truck would be there and made the whole experience so much less stressful than we anticipated. I originally contacted Chris @ Davidson Trailer Repair abut a van rental. He referred me to Lexington Shell who had the panel van I desired. Heily @ Lexington Shell provided superb service and had me ready to depart quickly. Both Chris and Heily should be recognized for excellent customer service. They didn't have the uhaul we had reserved. they tried to make us pay more. The lady who was working had no idea what she was doing and they tried multiple times to overcharge us. It was very annoying and over all the worst experience. When I contacted customer service about our issues they said there was nothing they could do because we had already picked up the truck. I was told I would receive a call back from a manager but 2 days later I still havnt. Overall I wouldn't suggest uhaul to anyone.DERICK V.

Poor phone connection (hard to understand) It took 30 minutes to reserve the truck over the phone It took 45 minutes to pick up the truck The U-Haul program wouldn't process the truck rental without a piece of equipment, so I had to pay 10 bucks for a dolly I didn't want or need It would take a concentrated effort on U-Haul's part to make me even consider renting one of your trucks again.Jef C.
