Everybody was nice a uhaul the truck ran good for moving
Dylan WatsonWhen I tried to book this reservation through the U-Haul app, it would not allow me the closest drop off point. The only choice it gave me was 40 miles away from my destination. Had to call a Uhaul rep to help me book a drop off point that was 1.6 miles from my destination. The app should be able to allow me to designate my closest return location

JON SkillmanThe running lights on the trailer did work, but the brake lights worked on one side and the turn signal lights didn't work the entire trip. Of course we didn't realize until the next day as we headed out of town and stopped to get gas. A car pulled in behind us and let us know our signal and brake lights weren't all working. It made it precarious driving in the dark and through city traffic. I know the gentleman at Lelands checked the lights before we left, so perhaps the wiring harness just shorted out.

Gene PiercefieldWas required to change drop-off location - not sure why. This was 30 minutes from my home while there are other locations closer. This was not a U-Haul center - just some other kind of business that seems to do U-Haul on the side. No one was there - no instructions. I had previously been told I could not drop off at an unattended location. Would have been much more convenient for me to drop off the previous evening @ 6:00 pm but was told this location would “close” at 5:00 so I had to wait. Very, very dissatisfied - my pick up location was also changed last minute - was told the original pick up place did not have trailer - I called the new location one day ahead of time - the trailer was sitting there and sat there for an entire day before I picked it up. Also 30 minutes away from me - could U-Haul not have moved the trailer during that day? It appears I had to pick up because U-Haul can’t move equipment or locate equipment - I drop off for what is convenient for U-Haul. For what I spent this is unacceptable. Will need to get a trailer in a few months to move more stuff - will be looking for someone else to rent from - this was the worst experience ever.

Randy blevinsI called the location to see what time I could pick the 15 foot truck up. He told me he would be leaving at four however my reservation was for 445. I told him I may have trouble getting there by that time so he said you can come in early and do the paperwork and pick the truck up at your convenience. When I did the paperwork he started my timer then contrary to what I was told on the phone. When I came back to get the truck it was old, dirty and in bad shape. It was almost dark at this time and I needed to stick with my schedule. Since the office was closed I drove the truck 5 miles to my home. The transmission appears to be trying to go out. Randomly the truck would downshift and come out of gear and start whirring. Whenever you press the brakes the transmission what do something strange and cause you to accelerate and make loud noises. The vehicle was extremely old, the seat was almost impossible to raise forward and it’s set to low for me to see over the steering wheel. I was afraid to drive it but I had no choice. I thought maybe the truck was behaving normally since it’s been a few years since I’ve driven one. Granted this is the absolute oldest vehicle I’ve ever driven. We loaded up the vehicle after several attempts to get the ramp to lock into place. By this time it was after midnight. My daughter and I began driving to the storage building. I was terrified at the way it was driving and she agreed this is not normal. She has driven a lot of U-Haul’s. The truck would leech forward and when you press the breaks the transmission sounded as if it would fall out. Luckily it was only 7 miles to my destination otherwise I feel certain we would not have made it in one piece. After making one load we took the vehicle back and called a friend with a trailer to finish the job. To add insult to injury, I was charged $84 initially and then an additional 14 the next day. I only drove the vehicle 24 miles total. I intend to call and speak with U-Haul about my experience because I feel that our lives were in danger and this vehicle needs to be retired or at the very least it needs to be serviced and repaired. The worst experience with U-Haul ever!

Crystal BurtonRented 5x9 ramp trailer. The trailer worked fine, but both fenders were really banged up. The dents were marked with Xs and I wasn't charged for any of the dents.
