The employee was really rude. His name was Kenneth Sheppard. We were scheduled to pick up8: the van at 0800. We showed up at 8:15 and Ken said it would be at least 15 minutes before he could get us the van. We were the only customers in the store. We said that was a long time as we had a schedule to keep and it was supposed to be ready...he responded with "it sure is" He continued to be rude through the huffing and puffing gestures as he finalized the paperwork. This guy does not do Ace Hardware or Uhaul any justice!! We rent trucks frequently and will not go back there without them either giving this guy some training, or putting someone else at the rental desk.

Be at the counter to receive a customer. There was no one at the time of pickup or at the time of return at the uhaul counter. I had to wait in the cold for 10mins. Call a number that they stick on the door. Then some one comes in and helps you. Apart from that everything was alright.

Using the mobile pickup was a joke. It took way to long and was extremely difficult to use. I will advise anyone I know not to use it. Matter of fact I will never use it again and after my experience have serious doubts about ever renting from U haul again.

When I initially went to return this UHaul at this location, Bob told me I had to drive it to Virginia Beach which would have caused me to go over my mile allowance. When I told him I was told several times I could return this truck at any location including Norfolk where I moved to, he said no, I had to go to Va Beach. After calling the 800 number I think the girl's name was Rachel, she confirmed I could return at Ace Norfolk and only then did he take the truck. I truly hope I don't have to use Uhaul again. Moving is stressful enough without all these errors made at a time that was already difficult.

The store was dirty, the clerk was disheveled and obviously angry about something. When I arrived I was told that I needed to go down the sidewalk and turn left to where they leased the trucks and heard her used the walkie-talkie to tell a store clerk to go down there and meet me. I stood in the rain waiting for a clerk to arrive. The clerk didn't even speak when he opened the door. He began the paperwork, and while printing the receipt the printer jammed at which time he spewed, "Fuck!" and stormed over to the printer. He was very hostile in general. He passed me the key and only nodded. I couldn't wait to get out of the store.

When I picked up my truck they told me "I don't know why but it's not due back until Sept 29", I picked it up on the 20th, returned on the 29th and they charged me for 6 extra days. I want a refund for those days as I did not request extra days and was told the return date by the agent. Contact me for the refund thank you.

I had questions for the local staff, both before making my reservation and then just prior to pickup. Staff was helpful and provided accurate information.

The 24/7 system did not work properly and after 3 attempts I went inside and Kenny took awesome care of me in less than 3 minutes when I had already taken 10 trying to use the on-line pick up. Several folks there said because the system is new it seldom works.

Have someone at the counter to wait on the customers. I had to wait 20 min. to pick-up the equipment and even longer to drop it back off, all because there was no one at the counter. Then they call me stating that I still had the equipment the next day when I had turned it in on time the day before. And after I couldn't get through on the phone I end up having to drive across town to inform that that I didn't have the equipment so that they would charge me for another day.

Ensure the customer knows or remember to call in to turn in equipment. I turned in my equipment on Aug 2, my records show Aug 4 at 7am. Wrong. I didn't know I had to call prior to turning in the equipment and it appeared lost in the system because I got calls trying to locate the equipment on Aug 3. Other than that I still trust UHaul

When I return the truck there were a guy working on a lawn mover. U can smell gas throughout the building, and I have to wait outside cause of the smell. Wasn't good for the customer that was bringing back the rental trucks

The facility was unorganized and did not have a dozen moving blankets as requested in the reservation. The truck itself worked great and was clean. The employees working at the Ace hardware facility were unorganized and searching for a pen, and searching for blankets and through the search of the blankets I mentioned I needed boxes and never got the boxes as well. The fact that I had an online reservation, and had everything picked out to include the pick up location, which then changed to this Ace Hardware store.
