Make the check in easier. Ask for license photos etc. before arrival, it was 20 degrees and I had to stand outside to finish checking in.

The location was fine. The truck was fine. The booking, receiving, and returning process was very unsatisfactory. I specifically sought a location that was marked as open on the day I needed it and close to my house. After booking, I was sent to a different location, farther away and not open on the day I needed it, so I had to endure the tedious online pick up and returning process. There were glitches and questions along the way, but the wait times for assistance on the phone and over chat were way too long. It took almost an hour to complete the truck pick up. The return process was faster, but ended in a way in which I thought I needed to interact with a person, but I did not, but I kept refreshing and trying to contact the company for confirmation anyway. The process itself was not smooth.

The location was good, the issue was with Uhaul's app and online rental process. Specifically: Issue 1: I wanted to rent a vehicle between about 8am and 8pm on Friday 8/12. The only options I was given in your online portal were rentals for 12 hours starting at 3am. I reserved a truck for that time, since that I wanted to make sure that I would be able to pick it up on the morning of the 12th. Issue 2: When I got to the rental location, the key retrieval portal online send me in an infinite loop, and was clearly glitching. Issue 3: When I called Uhaul customer support hotline to tell them that I couldn't access the online key retrieval portal, I elected to get a call back rather than wait on hold. It took 50 minutes for one of your reps to call me back. At that point, he had to transfer me to another department, at which point I had to wait for yet another 20+ to speak to the second rep. Issue 4: I told the second rep that I didn't need to rent the truck from 3am to 3pm, but in fact, needed it from that moment (at this point it was 11am) until 8pm. She said she would change the reservation. When I returned to the rental location to (finally) access the truck, the owner of the location confirmed that that truck was actually supposed to be rented at 8pm, and that my rental only covered 11am to 3pm that day. I took the truck, and got it back around 7pm. Honestly, it was a frustrating experience, not because of the rental location, but because the Uhaul website and app, and the customer service, were substandard. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone, and I will do my best to avoid renting from any Uhaul location again in the future. I hope for the sake of your customers that you improve your operation. That said, this location did a good job. They were the best part of the experience.

Nothing to improve John from Lakeview Auto saw to it that I thoroughly understood all aspects of the truck such as seat & mirror adjustments and how to properly latch and unlatch the cargo area.. I would return to this U-Haul outlet anytime..

We were charged for 2days when we only had it 1. The truck was returned the same night we got it but the located didn't log in that it wasn't returned untill 10 min before they closed and that is a lie. I called he said it would get fixed I heard nothing back for days so I called again and he said he is to busy to correct the receipt and show me where my refund is.

What would you think if you: 1. Arrive to get your vehicle, it's 22F degrees. 2. Being outside you have to try for more than 20 minutes to get the code and then you realize the APP is completely useless, then you have to call the service customer. 3. Once you get the code you realize the keys the U-Haul personnel left you, are the wrong ones. 4. Thanks to the personnel (of another firm) who (thanks to GOD) give you the right key. 5. But... you also have to spend about a half-hour to return the keys in a location where is difficult to reach an "Uber" or a "Lift".

The truck was not inspected from a safety standard or for cleanliness. I spent an hour cleaning the cab of the truck, vacuuming, cleaning windows and dash. The previous renters had a dog I would believe and the truck was covered in dog hair and windows in slobber. The tires all had 40 lbs of air or less when the truck singage/stickers had 90 lbs, I believe it should have been checked prior to me picking it up. We got to our destination but I believe the vehicle should have been in the condition I returned it. Anne
