a warm day in Saskatoon plan to take garbage out from my rental house yard first time renting a U haul ,so di my formalities took the vehicle ride was bumpy tried to enter my home but the vehicle was not moving in and got stuck with cresecent snow ,the wheel tires were so bad it just rotates for normal road could not get into the drive way or alley ,get stuck in all places called for help to push the vehicle so planned to drop my work Second Gas marking system which is weird and marking was not perfect but the guy insisting to fill thats my mistake since I did not check properly the gas mark but drove 5 km with some stuck in the snow ,have to fill more than used Loading vehicle for transport should have minimum good tires and shock absorbers but faile in all aspects But the manager was not at all worried in his aspect about the vehicle So great experience of trying to save few dollars but have to lose it renting a bad vehicle So learnt a good lesson renting in winterBalakrishnan R.

The morning of pick up, someone called me 20 minutes before I was picking up and said that the location is closed for the morning so they are switching me to online pick up. I agreed and they said they'd send me details. I did not receive anything. I called the number back before I arrived for pick up as I had received no information. When we arrived there was a man there that gave us a different number to call after a lot of convincing. We called and it was the manager of that location. He heard us talk and then hung up and did not pick up the phone after that until we called from a different number. An hour and a half later we got a different number to call and they assisted us and told us the system was malfunctioning. There was no apology, no compensation nor even any acknowledgment that they had wasted two hours of my time on moving day or the fact that I would be missing other moving appointments because of this mix up. When returning the car the man just stood there with his hand out took the keys to the truck and said nothing else. It was probably the most abysmal experience I've had with the most awful customer service. I was then sent an invoice that was 60 dollars more than it was supposed to be with no explanation of charges or breakdown. It was all around an awful experience.Salah Eddine C.
I reserved a 10' truck for October 29, 2022 and I got a confirmation on my reservation on October 19, 2022. We arrived on that place at 11 am to pick up the truck the guy working there said that the truck is not there yet and there's no available truck at the moment and he cannot do anything about it coz the last person who rented it doesn't return it yet! It so troublesome coz we already need to move on that day then we went home so disappointed and try to find someone who can lend a truck or any car that can fit all our things! At around 1pm he called if we still need it and i said yes and he booked it at 5:30 pm and confirmed it so I thought that we gonna get the same truck that I reserved but fortunately not we only got the van! And we're asking the other guy who's there on that time coz the guy who reserved our order already left but he said he doesn't know anything! It's so frustrating and so disappointed! And he also charge me for the furniture pads but we didn't got any!Zanderson R.

Had to wait for owner to show up because he assumed I had a smartphone which I don't. This cost me time that I cannot get back. Hope business not so dependent on smartphones for communication and to solve customer problems.Shibatosh D.

Staff did not understand how to return vehicles so I could pick up my rental. Took me an hour and a half of waiting and he assisted several people while I was waiting. I was not made a priority even though I arrived ahead of others.Todd F.

The agent was very helpful and accommodating .f However U-haul can allow for up to a 2 hour overlap past the return time. Sometimes factors beyond our control can affect return time. This was the case in my rental. I returned at end of day but was 2 hours over my estimated return time.MARCEL B.

It's Uhaul what do you expect? They are a company that is known for their horrible maintenance. The guy working there was great. The customer service was amazing. The guy working there was hilarious. He should get a raise.Jordan W.

Awful experience. The truck was filthy when I got it (dirt, thumbtacks, tape, etc. on the floor) and I found out, once I removed our items from the back, that there was a hole in the roof of the truck so it damaged many items. I will never use Uhaul again.Jason P.

Better organized needed - I called ahead to book twice 5 days in advance - showed up on site 4 days prior to pick date because I wasn't sent a confirmation text. Today I showed up to pick up the truck I ordered ,I was told my name was not on the list - I must have canceled. It took over 35 minutes to redo paper work to get the unit I rented 5 days earlier. It was a bit disappointing and quite confusing on the need to process a reservation days in advance. The ability to rent a truck for moving is helpful , I do appreciate the fact there are conpanies that provide this service. So I was happy that UHAUL is there to help when the need raises.Bill B.
The service staff is very unskilled. On the premise that I have completed the online check in, I have to wait for nearly half an hour to pick up the car. When returning the car, he forgot to return the deposit, which made me spend hours turning back, and then made me wait for half an hour to complete the refund of the deposit. I'm outraged.Shaojun Z.

The office where the line up to go into office to painfully wait until your computer program would work is right in the line of traffic for the incoming car wash customers. Someone will be running over some day. There also seemed to be a computer glitch that kept me there for 1.5 hrs gor a 5 min job.Doug R.

The rusty trailer hitch tightener required a shot of WD40 so we could use it. The Saskatoon location operator forgot to give me the 12 rented blankets so I had to return to get them and then he only gave me 10 instead of the 12 I paid for so this became a discussion point for the Osoyoos location operator when I only had 10 to return. Also, even though I had paid the full amount online (or so I thought) I was surprised to learn that I still owed $90 in tax when I arrived for pickup. Perhaps I had missed the fine print somewhere but it certainly was not made clear to me during the online process.Dan M.

The van was not ready to go, the back door latch was broken and there was no help from Uhaul. The location was closed so, and I was not able to get roadside assistance because I was at the location. I ended up on the phone for 40 min of my rental trying to get help with no solution before we decided to use rope to keep the door shut. When dropping off I had to put a lot of gas in, way more than I thought I could have used and tha gas wouldn't go in the tank leading me to think it was rigged to get extra gas from renters. When I returned it the van also displayed a message instead of the mileage so it was impossible to get a photo of the mileage and the gas at the same time, so I couldn't use the online return, I was forced to go through the shop. It all seemed very sketchy and shady to me, and was overall really frustrating and unsatisfying.Mary E.

Returning the uhaul was not smooth. The door was locked so someone had to let us in and he took the key asked where we left it, and that was it. The next day, I got a phone call asking about returning the uhaul. I advised the caller that I had returned it the prior day and approximately what time. They said okay and hung up.Sharon K.
