The guy at the location made me wait for 45 minutes even if i have booked a reservation early and had to tell him the details i have filled already through my phone. They told me that for over filling you will not get any refund which is insan. the uhaul actually stole money from people pockets. This is a cheating company they cheat people nor me nor i will recomend any body to use UHAUL serviceKashif K.
Window and inside are dirty, hard to see well shield window. Gas was 3/4 gas, drive in city not much drive just one trip in city so I fill up full gas, I pay more gas. Return to U Haul and drop off key mailbox. They charge me $6.90 for what?Morgan G.

Absolute bullshit!!! I paid over $450 upfront and THEN I get charged ANOTHER $1800 after I am done???? A truck whose alignment is out by 1.5 inches and a half inch play in the steering! The climate control only worked on the floor/defrost setting! The radio did not work and the truck got HORRENDOUS fuel mileage. Headlights are GARBAGE!Rob S.

It was my first time renting a U-Haul. The manager of Lakeview Suds Car Wash was very helpful and kind. Definitely I will go there the next time that I need to rent a U-Haul.Maryam I.
My appointment was at 4pm and the equipment was in location but the authorized person didn't available till 4:30pm. The second issue was the payment process. He took my credit number and all the information and used it in his lab top to complete the payment and this process is so scary to me. He didn't use the bank machine to get his money! ThanksSafaa A.

Was way overcharged for gas because I didnt get it right on the spot for the refill. Charged me almost a litre per mile driven which is ridiculous. I had rented one the day before from a different location and drove the same mileage and was charged 3x the amount I had to put in the day before. I will be looking for a different company to use for my business needs. Give us the vehicles full so it is easy to refill.Darrin W.

Unpleasant Rental Experience and Discrepancy in Kilometer Charges Dear Uhaul Customer Service, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent rental experience I had with your company. I rented a van from your service for my move, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon receiving the van, I immediately noticed that the vehicle was in an unsatisfactory condition. The cabin and seats were not cleaned properly, and there were pet hairs all over the seats and inside the cabin. This was not only unhygienic but also quite distressing (as I am allergic to cats). I brought this issue to the attention of the rental location's management, and they attempted to address it by cleaning the driver's seat only. However, this process took nearly 40 minutes, and despite their efforts, only a portion of the pet hairs were removed. This prolonged delay significantly disrupted my schedule and added unnecessary frustration to my moving day. Additionally, I was quite surprised when I reviewed my rental receipt later on. The advertised rate for kilometers was $0.59 per kilometer, but I was charged $0.69 per kilometer. This inconsistency in the charges further soured my experience. It has led me to question the transparency of your pricing structure and whether other customers have encountered similar discrepancies. I understand that oversights can occur, and it is my hope that my feedback will help you improve your services. I kindly request that you address these issues promptly. Specifically, I would appreciate a refund of the overcharged amount for the kilometers, as well as an acknowledgment and an explanation for the cleanliness issues I faced during my rental. I was given a smaller trailer than I originally reserved. How was I able to reserve the trailer I wanted to begin with? Huge inconvenience. The trailer I was given for my rental was available for pick up the previous night, but I was not allowed to actually physically pick-up until my reserved pick-up time of 10 AM the next morning. Makes no sense. The location I picked up had an hour wait in line. It does not open until 9AM so everyone that reserved UHAUL equipment for the day, cannot pick up until the business is open. So EVERYONE shows up for pick up at 9AM, but the wait in line means you don't actually get what you reserved until an hour later. It took an hour and ten minutes to receive my trailer. From the time I arrived to pick up the trailer, until the time I left with the trailer in tow. I didn't even receive the link to provide my drivers licence information until I was at the location. Why? This business is also a car wash, with paying customers who are also trying to receive some type of service. All around just chaos. Why doesn't UHAUL provide online check in? The business owner checks fuel and any damage/cleanliness before the customer picks up. Records information. Then customer can pick up keys in security coded drop box. Any issues or concerns from customers can then provide pictures via there phone or physically speak to an employee at that location. Wow what a concept! All of the technology to utilize to make it a pleasant experience but UHAUL continues to fail on the customer service side. Car rental companies have been doing this for years. It's 2023!Jason W.

When we arrived the owner told us there was no rental on file and that we must be at the wrong location. It looked like our vacation could be ruined. Then he said it was good we came a few hours early as he was planning on leaving and no one else would have been able to complete the rental. Our booking was moved to another location across town which we could not use so we took the only truck available at a higher price. It was not full of gas. We refilled the tank to above where it was but we're still charged an additional $12 and change. Upon our arrival the owner was rushing about and walking well but upon our return he had put on heavy winter boots not needed on a hot summer day and was suddenly limping and walking slowly. He said several times I didn't need to stay upon returning the vehicle but I said I wanted to do the checkout procedure. I'm glad I did or I think he would have tried to charge me more. Next time I will take a picture of the gas level when I pick up the vehicle and the next time won't be from that location.June M.
Vehicle was clean and ready to go but windshield was grossly covered with bugs and took me a long time to clean. Clear vision is a safety concern. So to improve for the next customer the windshield could be cleaned well so they don't have to waste time cleaning. Previous customer should have taken care of scraping bugs off while fuelling up.Jim W.

The person who was there for registration was wonderful. He was very friendly, nice to talk to, and very helpful. However, there was an error in the U-HAUL side, where the driving distance info was asked to enter in kilometer on the website upon reservation but the system calculated it based on milage. That made a bit of confusion and he had to call his manager, which took over 10 min. It was not his fault at all, but since he was the only employee working in the office, he had to deal with multiple customers while dealing with this trouble and I felt bad for him. I hoped that the U-Haul website had accurate info.Arata M.

The tires on the vehicle were out of thread and provided zero traction, caused us to get stuck in the snow. The person who we dealt with had no idea about anything. Anything we asked, he referred us to Uhual. "Call Uhual, call Uhual." Gave us the key to the wrong vehicle, the dollies were not in the back of the truck ready to go (I called and it was supposed to be). Even the snow in the back door was not fully cleared. We asked for Safetrip, I never saw that added to the conract, I only saw Safemove. We wasted about 15-20 right off the gate. Another 45-60 minutes back and frothing the truck as there was zero traction. The $12 provided credit does not even cover anything close to the wasted time and money with the movers. And please note that the guy who handed us the key indicated that he knows the tires are flat but he said it has been always like that and again call "Uhual." \Seyedshayan M.

a warm day in Saskatoon plan to take garbage out from my rental house yard first time renting a U haul ,so di my formalities took the vehicle ride was bumpy tried to enter my home but the vehicle was not moving in and got stuck with cresecent snow ,the wheel tires were so bad it just rotates for normal road could not get into the drive way or alley ,get stuck in all places called for help to push the vehicle so planned to drop my work Second Gas marking system which is weird and marking was not perfect but the guy insisting to fill thats my mistake since I did not check properly the gas mark but drove 5 km with some stuck in the snow ,have to fill more than used Loading vehicle for transport should have minimum good tires and shock absorbers but faile in all aspects But the manager was not at all worried in his aspect about the vehicle So great experience of trying to save few dollars but have to lose it renting a bad vehicle So learnt a good lesson renting in winterBalakrishnan R.

The morning of pick up, someone called me 20 minutes before I was picking up and said that the location is closed for the morning so they are switching me to online pick up. I agreed and they said they'd send me details. I did not receive anything. I called the number back before I arrived for pick up as I had received no information. When we arrived there was a man there that gave us a different number to call after a lot of convincing. We called and it was the manager of that location. He heard us talk and then hung up and did not pick up the phone after that until we called from a different number. An hour and a half later we got a different number to call and they assisted us and told us the system was malfunctioning. There was no apology, no compensation nor even any acknowledgment that they had wasted two hours of my time on moving day or the fact that I would be missing other moving appointments because of this mix up. When returning the car the man just stood there with his hand out took the keys to the truck and said nothing else. It was probably the most abysmal experience I've had with the most awful customer service. I was then sent an invoice that was 60 dollars more than it was supposed to be with no explanation of charges or breakdown. It was all around an awful experience.Salah Eddine C.
I reserved a 10' truck for October 29, 2022 and I got a confirmation on my reservation on October 19, 2022. We arrived on that place at 11 am to pick up the truck the guy working there said that the truck is not there yet and there's no available truck at the moment and he cannot do anything about it coz the last person who rented it doesn't return it yet! It so troublesome coz we already need to move on that day then we went home so disappointed and try to find someone who can lend a truck or any car that can fit all our things! At around 1pm he called if we still need it and i said yes and he booked it at 5:30 pm and confirmed it so I thought that we gonna get the same truck that I reserved but fortunately not we only got the van! And we're asking the other guy who's there on that time coz the guy who reserved our order already left but he said he doesn't know anything! It's so frustrating and so disappointed! The agent was very helpful and accommodating .f However U-haul can allow for up to a 2 hour overlap past the return time. Sometimes factors beyond our control can affect return time. This was the case in my rental. I returned at end of day but was 2 hours over my estimated return time.MARCEL B.
