Several things went wrong with our experience at this location. - The U-Haul didn't come with a lock, therefore we couldn't comfortably leave anything overnight in the back of the truck. We were told that there were no locks for our size of truck. They told us to go to another U-Haul location and purchase a lock ourselves. - The staff barely spoke English, so it was difficult to portray/explain the lock problem with confidence that we would be provided with a solution. - The location was in the middle of a gang infested area, which felt incredibly dangerous and dirty to be at.COREY S.
I was overcharged and still trying to resolve the issue. When calling the location to resolve this, they are stating that I have the wrong number despite that they answer as the establishment.FRANKLIN M.
This was not the original reservation place. When we arrived and did paperwork nobody walked us out to the truck to check miles or equipment on the truck. We were just given the keys. When we opened it the dolly and blankets were in the floor of the truck. We didn't even use them and we were charged for using them. When I called to ask why we were charged he said he couldn't help me because the girl that helped us was not there. It was a big mess. I would not recommend at all.ALEJANDRO Y.

Never did a walk around for the vehicle, I thought this was standard. There was also no gas in the vehicle, we almost ran out of gas on the way to the gas station. Called the pickup location and they just said they would call us AAA if we ran out of gas. We put gas in the vehicle but they charged us $14 for gas. We returned the vehicle with more gas than we received.DAISY G.

Maintain the trucks and keep them locked from homeless people. Check engine light was on and it was filthy with someone's nasty boxer shorts scrunched in the driver's side headrest between the wall and headrest. Disgusting. Full of spiders also.OMAR M.
Dirty old truck in poor condition. Smoke coming out of muffler. Parking lot is littered with garbage and flies. Passenger seat covered in dog hair. Gas tank was 1/4 full and refilled it to level and still charged. Never renting Uhaul again. Penske is much betterALEXANDER B.
The equipment was not clean, but not worthy of reporting at time of checkout, I was over charged By $68 for unknown charges, since they never sent me a receipt as promised, a call to the business got a guy who was unwilling to help and hung up on me. Chewy was extremely understanding and patient. His customer service skills were top notch. At the end of your reservation he'll go over everything with you at the end (including charges) so that you're both verifying all charges. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. Upon picking up the truck, it was dirty, had piles of trash and abandoned belongings in the back, and was previously left unlocked in a sketchy area.JORDAN J.
TERRIBLE "Neighborhood Dealer". Reservation was for an 8 am pickup, but "the U-Haul guy doesn't come in until 9". Then he made me give him names and phone numbers of people to contact just on a blank sheet of paper. The original reservation was for drop-off in Aurora, Colorado, but HIS paperwork said it was to be dropped off in some town in Utah I had never heard of and wasn't going anywhere near. The trailer had obviously not been cleaned, there were a half-dozen U-Haul blankets in it. (those were given to the U-Haul dealer in Aurora)Andrew R.

My truck had empty beer cans in the back and they did not pull the truck around for me. I was charged $10 for gas when I only drove 10 total miles. Is that possible? Nice people at the shop but not a good program by U-Haul if that is the guest experience. Call me if you actually care about this and wish to resolve. Gracias.RICHARD W.

I returned my trailer rental around 1pm on 05AUG21. I am active duty military and drove down on change of station to San Diego. I busted my butt to get the trailer returned in plenty of time to ensure I wasn't charged anything more than my initial estimate. When I entered the La Central Market to return the trailer the lady at the register assured me that I would have a receipt in about 10 mins via email. This never happened. I was told to unhitch the trailer and â€œleave it out of the wayâ€ in the parking lot behind the store. I did this by myself trusting that she was going to follow up on her assurance. The next day I get an email after reporting to my new unit. My receipt showed I got charged an extra day even though I returned my trailer rental well before I needed to. This is so disappointing and ridiculous. I did not return my rental remotely late and it is unsat that due to negligence I get extra charges.JOHNANTHONY V.
Let customers know when you change the reservation for the pick up location. Showed up at the initial spot and was informed they couldn't find our reservation. After a 30 min wait on the phone to reach a representative we where informed our reservation was at another location.Adrian H.
The area was very sketchy, I did not feel safe. I lost 20-30 minutes of my time because she stopped helping me and started helping other people buy liquor. The car was disgusting, it smelled like weed, the check engine light was on and it was on E. I took picture proof and I noticed on the receipt they said the gas was higher than it was when I picked it up. This makes me never want to use U-Haul again.Ashlee D.

Side mirror was broken and tire pressure was very low. I was also charged for a hand truck I did not use. When I called to have that credited, The phone was set down while I heard the employee waiting on customers at the convenience store. The employee then hung up the phone. I called back and the woman put the phone down again while she continued to wait in customers. I still have not received my credit. I would recommend this location no longer be used since they do not staff it appropriately.Thomas H.

When I made a reservation I had to change the location further because the original location didnt have the 10â€ but when I got to the location I was told that they didnt have the truck that I reserved. The guy in charge found a way so he can get me a rental since my movers were waiting for me and I had to may them hourly. It wasnt the location's fault but Uhaul's fault.Jessrine C.

I made an online appointment and you sent me to a location that didn't exist anymore. I then contacted customer service and you sent me to a place 30 minutes from me. The location itself was a liquor store. It didn't have tie down straps, it had vagrants coming in and out buying beer at 11 am, and one person running a uhaul register and liquor store register. I asked for a receipt after I turned in my equipment that instill haven't recieved.RYAN C.
Cargo van was a perfect fit for delivering party rentals. The major problem I had with this location was the fact they tried to charge me for 68 miles when I had only driven 34 miles. I negotiated them from $130 to $75. Still a $10 over charge but I was in a hurry. I will from now on take a pic of the odometer before driving off the lotArlin H.
I was charged for furniture pads when i did not ask for furniture pads. The verification photos of the gas level was different from the paper copy of gas level, which led to me being charged for gas although i fueled the truck up.DAQUON H.

This place is HORRIBLE. THE TRUCK WAS DIRTY, ON EMPTY AND THE FRONT TIRE WAS LOW. THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE COUNTER (THE LADY) WAS RUDE. AND after i returned the truck on time, I get a call 3 hours later from this location asking me "where is the truck". This is the second time i have had a unpleasant experience with uhaul. I couldnt even get a courtesy call saying that the truck was found. Or a apalogy, because i was basically being called a thief. No class, and I am done with uhaul.LESLIE S.

When I arrived the truck that I originally ordered was not there yet so they gave me a 26 ft instead it was dirty the gas was below what the contract said I told the attendant he said not to worry we took pictures I turn in truck over with more gas then I got it I get the contract a day late they charged me 71 dollars extra for gas just wow called put on hold haven't heard nothing back bad serviceJESUS F.

We were scheduled to drop off at a different t location. When we arrived they told us they do not take trailers and told us to go to this location. They would. It take the trailer either and it took 30 minutes to get I. Touch with anyone at I haul to get this organized (40 minute wait on a phone ). We left the trailer here after much debate and finally I haul was able to change the drop off location. Terrible experience when you are moving 2500 miles away to a new city.Brendan C.
The first truck I tried to rent was dead and had no power. The second one was dirty but at least it moved. Was charged a gas fee even though it wasn't given to me with any in it. Still have yet to hear back from Uhaul or the La Central Market. Will not use Uhaul again. Also the app is terrible. It's a lot faster to just go in and have a clerk fill it out. Can't be considered contactless because you still need to go inside to get the keys.Andrew H.

This place is a complete disaster. It's a liquor store in the ghetto, customer services is a disaster, they give you the rental with the gas tank on empty so that you can't read the odometer and then they charge you refill the tank and overcharge on miles. I will be calling to dispute the charges, and this location should have it's license revoked.DANIEL G.

Terrible set up. No one in lot to help. Have to wait behind 20 convenience store employees to get some help. The lot is way too small to back a trailer in with all of the street parking and littered with pot holes.JEFFREY R.

This location is in a really bad, unsafe neighborhood - groups of guys (unmasked) congregated in front of the store, drinking tall-boys from brown bags. About a dozen people in the location without masks (despite posted signs saying â€œno mask, no entranceâ€). Overall felt really unsafe. The experience of the rental was fine and very efficient, but this location blows, and I'd never rent there again.CHRISTOPHER LAUR D.
This trucks interior floor mats were dirty with some mud. Would you expect that from a car rental company? Convenience stores focus is on everyday business vs. Uhaul business. Upon entering the market, I had to wait until the clerk was finished with her telephone call for over ten minutes. Uhaul would fair better with dedicated Uhaul stores just like car rental agencies. Your product is very good, however your management via. low end convenient stores and gasoline stations is extremely poor. Uhaul needs to focus on this aspect for your future company success. Additionally Uhaul proprietors need to clean up their act. Be well groomed and act professional. Uniforms may be in order. You have a great business, however your appearance and professionalism by incorporating other than professional sales is doing Uhaul a dis-service.Glenn C.
Overall the service was decent. But the reliance on an online booking and collection app which won't recognise my customer account details is extremely frustrating. Only once I escalated to an off-site manager in cesar did I have any luck. The booking was made via phone and I received instructions for online check in via email however upon trying to log in to the system the email/phone number wasn't recognized and I was delayed over an hour while Cesar performed a manual override. This is unacceptable. There should be better troubleshooting available in the event that an online profile doesn't work.TIMOTHY M.

David was rude and aggressive, he does not respect people time . he played games just to give me hard time and keep going to the back parking looking for a box then i found out he has the key and he was send me to the back so he help other customers,. when i asked him why this bad attitude he said U-haul does not pay him so he cannot help me unless no customers buying from the store. however he was rude and aggressive with bad attitude . i will never go back there . i do not recommend it at all . very bad experience and law serviceYaser A.

I picked a location by my apt that i know and been there. You guys sent me to a worn down liquor store where they couldnt help me at my appointment time because they were making a pizza and told me to wait. Didnt go out to check the vehicle, gave me keys and thats it.Marco A.
Couldn't understand the lady and then they added a $50 gas charge on to a $97 rental. SO that means they added 50% to the bill and couldn't explain it. We did add gas.Kyle B.
