The truck should have actually been taken out of use a long time ago. It was extremely dangerous. The turn signal fell out, the side mirrors shook so much you couldn't use them, there was so much play in the road it was dangerous to drive on the interstate as we were blown all over with minimal control. Worst of all, the truck kept leaning significantly to the right. When we got to destination we discovered the sway bar was broken in half. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER....WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN!!!

Monford R.The staff here was great. My comment is below is for U-haul corporate. I have made several one-way trips to Hilton Head with u-haul trailers. I don't like having to return them to Beaufort because it's so far away and coming back on to the Hilton Head Islanfd takes even more time with the traffic. I see a lot of U-Haul rentals on the island. Please find a closer return location. Even Blufton, SC would be better. Gracias

Anthony K.Unprofessional and uncooperative staff. Abysmal parking and got a nail in my car's tire from that place. They charged me $237.17 for a two-hour rental of a 10 foot truck. Tires on the truck were not inflated to correct levels. The truck engine light was on. There was almost no fuel in the truck to start, and then they blamed me. This place is a total rip off and total scam. They will overcharge by way of lies and general stupidity. Avoid like its COVID.
Christopher C.I am glad I did not have to fill in the application myself. I looked at it and it is enough to send me to a compeditor, if I could find one. Luckily, the man at the pick-up location filled it in for me. (Note: I am very experienced computer user.) You do not have to ask for all that information just to provide a quote. You can ask for the information after the customer gets the quote.

KATHY LYNN W.Uhaul nationwide is unpredictable. It's a general consensus. Talking to people as I waited in line for an hour and a half, they said that plenty of times they show up and there's no truck. It's not this location in particular it's any location. I've had the same thing happened to me. Also, your dealers don't necessarily have up-to-date website information. That makes it difficult too.
Pam H.Got to my location to pick up truck no truck and place was closed this pushed back my original reservation 2 hours finally agent found another truck the I haul was for 8 hours which ended up being 1 day because of the delay. I have been charged $218 for a truck that is $19.99 a day this is ridiculous given I was the one who was inconvenienced now I'm being charged for things I wasn't told I would be charged for and I feel it is unfair still don't understand why $48 was held when I put down a security deposit terrible service.

Steven J.The online services seems to cause alot of issues for the franchisee. The service will reserve multiple reservations to one truck so unfortunately someone ends up missing out. Or they will reserve pieces of equiptment that the franchisee doesn't own. I hope u haul online can fix these issues so that their franchisers dont have to deal with upset customers through on fault of their own.

Mark G.When you make a reservation for specific equipment you should get it. I reserved a 10 foot truck and a transporter I got a 26 foot truck no transporter. Will pay more an use Penske next time.

Robert G.I have used the Bluffton location and they are excellent. The truck looked like it hadn't been washed in a very long time and the interior was very dirty. I could barely see out of the windshield.

Gerald S.I reserved at 20 ft truck through the Uhaul website. The day before the rental, Uhaul changed the pick up location and the size of the truck. Neither the location nor the size of the truck were acceptable. I called the Kobuch Fireworks location and the gentleman found me a truck the right size and location. He rescued my move. I will never use the Uhaul website again, I will just call Kobuch Fireworks.
Reggie M.The trailer that rented has a wheel and tire that didn't fit. This became evident approximately 20 miles down the road with it smoking. The wheel had the wrong backspace and this put the tire against the trailer frame. I called the help line to get assistants, after 30 min on hold someone answered and immediately hung up. I called a towing company to bring me a correct wheel and tire. They fixed the problem and I was able to continue. I was charging 580.00 from the Tow company for the tire and after hours service call. Not to mention I was stuck on the side of the road for almost 3 hours.

Jack N.I was at the location at 10:40 AM 20 minutes early. No one was at the office, I tried to call, no answer, left message. I didn't know what to do, so I called uhaul… couldn't get anyone. I called the pick up store in Greenwood, no answer. Then m, I assume the owner came flying into the parking lot driving like an idiot… almost hitting my wife… then he started smarting off telling me to move the trailer, I said sure, where do you want it? Then he said “let me guess, you can't back a trailer†I said I can back a trailer just fine, asked him to tell me where he wanted it… I put it exactly where he wanted it as he was giving me hand signals to back it and where to stop. All good I asked? He said yes. He proceeded to unhook the trailer, then said the person that hooked the trailer was “an idiot and the hitch was upside down†(that would be your guy in Greenwood at pick up location) I said I disagree, the trailer worked perfectly and told him the guys in Greenwood were great. He then unhooked the trailer, did not chock the wheels, it rolled down the hill and hit another trailer. I told him the blankets, the hand trucks that I rented were in the trailer but now we can't get to them because of his unprofessional behavior… All was great except this jackhole. Then, today, Saturday the 18th, 3 days after return, this guy changed my credit card without permission. I called the credit company and reported his fraud. I plan to report this to police, BBB, and any other outlet possible. This guy is a total jerkoff. Uhaul can and should do better than put it's customers at RISK of having to deal with a dangerous psycho Also, my wife was videoing the trailer when this jerk recklessly

BRITTNEY P.The parking lot is full of broken glass. The employee did not want to help me detach the trailer from my truckâ€"I had to insist that he help me me. He claimed he could not provide me with a receipt stating that I had returned the trailer, with the return. This was after I waited 45+ Minutes at the Paris Island Gateway location and they then refused to accept the trailer.
