Agent was very pleasant and helpful. As a neighborhood UHaul location, it was not a full time Uhaul business. I was directed to this location for pickup even though there were Uhaul businesses much closer to my place. The 15 ft truck was low mileage and performed beautifully on the one way trip across country.

I’m really satisfied with Knowlton towing inc. Great customer service. I move 2 times a year, this is the best uhaul experience I’ve had yet. I highly recommend using Knowlton towing as a pickup or drop off spot for uhaul rentals. I definitely will.

Minimal signage that it was even a Uhaul rental/drop off place. In a sketchy area with no signage and no instructions on how to drop off.

Pickup location was unorganized and not ready when truck needed and scheduled to be picked up. Truck was scheduled to be picked up at 8am weeks in advance. When I showed up nobody knew the truck was being picked up. The after an hour on the phone I was finally able to pick up the truck. I barely made it home in time to meet the movers.

I was advised to drop of vehicle at a closed location. No one was there to check in vehicle. I was charged $36 for fuel whe I had already reproached the fuel. What a scam! What happened to the Uhaul name? Use to trust it. Over charged for fuel by a scammer towing company you had me drop it off to.

It wasn't clear where to leave the trailer or where the entrance to the building was. Someone that worked there did come out as I was doing the online checkout so in the end I didn't need to know this information. As to the location being clean and inviting, it was a towing company so it kind of looked like a junk yard. At no time did I find it a problem but I can't say it was clean (dirt parking area for example) or inviting (not clear where to drop off the trailer).

I was verbally assaulted by one of the workers at the location, he did not tell me directly but if I heard from behind the doors that he said "give him the truck and let him get out of my property" my interpretation of this is "racism." Went I arrived to pick up the truck at 7:50am he told me "there are no trucks available" and I said but there, and he laughed, I was told that the uhaul personal arrived at 8am. At 8:10 am aprox the uhaul person arrived and that is when happened the last other event. Uhal staff listened and witnessed. I rented the truck for 24 hours and honestly I was scared something would happen my car and to my self , so I returned the truck early. I’m not going to that place again for sure.

We were told the day before our reservation that our truck pickup location had to be changed but the two locations offered as an alternate option did not open in time for the movers we had scheduled to come load the truck on moving day. As a result we had to pickup the truck the night before we originally planned to in a location a whole city away. We were given addition mileage for our troubles but we still had to pay for the extra gas required to do that trip. When we arrived at the site to pick up the truck it felt very unsafe. It was located at a tow yard and dogs were barking at us the whole time we were trying to get the mobile pickup figured out. It was so stressful. The site we picked up at didn’t have one of the dollies we required for our movers so we had to drive to 3 other locations until we finally found one with dollies to spare. This had to be done the morning of our move when we really needed to be packing up the truck. We have always used UHaul for our moves but between this last minute change to our reservation as well as our terrible experience renting an auto transport trailer three days later we will be looking into alternate options for our next move in a year. The entire experience was incredibly high stress, difficult, and confusing.

Everything took extra time to get the documents ready. I did change my mind on the size of the truck from 26 footer to 20. They did go out the way to find a smaller truck but the communication was very confusing.

I had reserved a 20' truck at least two weeks early so as to guarantee it would be available at the end of the month. The location was very close to my home. Two nights before the move, I received a call from UHaul saying the truck wasn't available. Then I was told instead of an 8:00am pickup time I couldn't get it until 10 am. That cost me money because my one of my loaders was with me to pick up the truck. However, nobody was at the business. He finally showed up at 11am and by the time we did the paper work and drove to my home it was noon+. Needless to say, I lost four hours of loading time and inconvenienced several other people who were scheduled around the 8:00am pick up time! Sorry UHaul, spent too much money for a botched truck rental fiasco. Won't be using your services again nor recommending you either.

Uhaul staff on the phone said they extended the contract due to travel in bad weather but was charged for 2 extra days because they did not process in the computer. Showed up to drop equipment off and waited 45 minutes before finding someone in the yard who wouldn’t come check the trailer in. I told him I didn’t want any problems or extra charges and he assured me he would take care of it. Found out later we were charged an additional $64. Not happy with uhaul service or this location!!!

Try being friendly and helpful next time and don’t schedule drop of before the location even opens, so that way the business operator won’t chew me out when I call before hours for drop off.

Probably not the location’s or faculty’s fault entirely, but I was scheduled to do a drop off at this location an hour before it even opened. When I called, somebody did answer the phone, but he wasn’t having helping us even though that’s what it was scheduled for. Additionally, the place was very barren and pretty uninviting, what with dust and weeds and whatnot abundant.

Issue I have drop off was outside of the business. No security. After I left there would be no reason why someone couldn't come and take the contents from inside the bed; dolly, returned items, etc. which could possibly come back and haunt me for whatever reason. I did take a picture, but who knows.
