Connie BergquistWe were INITIALLY told our pick up location was Lake City SC but found out by text Kingtree SC was our pick up location BUT when we arrived, they told us our truck was in Lane, SC. We went to Lane, store was closed until 11am and this was approximately 8:30am. The Lane store was a grocery, liquor and uhaul store that looked like you should be armed before entering, in the middle of nowhere, where 2 females alone should definitely not be. I called the Kingstree location, they said come back there to pick up the truck. And we did. All was fine then, we thought. I asked about the drop off location and was told we could drop it off at any ANY nearby location in Christiansburg VA. then the next day I got a call saying all locations near, in or around Christiansburg were at max capacity and the nearest location was in Roanoke VA, approximately 35-45 minutes away and we would have a charge for incorrect drop off location if we took it anywhere else. But we could call back the next day to check capacity at nearby locations. We couldn't call any nearby locations because they were closed, from 3pm on Saturday until opening on Tuesday because of the holiday weekend, which was past our drop-off deadline. Nightmare. Moving is hard enough, shouldn't renting a truck be the simplest part of it??? I am more than disappointed. People moving have a time schedule, make plans, schedule paid helpers to load the truck. I could go on and on. On a positive note, the truck ran fine.
Stacey KraftMy reservation was changed by Uhaul at the last minute, customer service was unable to do anything. I asked for a supervisor and I had to explain how your representative could help me. The parking lot was to small to accommodate my rv 25 ft. I had to wait until their customers left the store and then it was a struggle. Unable to load my car at the location. I will never use this location again.

Denise BryantI was extremely disappointed with u-haul this go round. I ordered a uhaul truck went to pick it up and no key was set up for me and no one was there to give me a key had to talk to several uhaul people and explain things over and over ( lack of communication) I was extremely upset when I had to go even further out of my way to actually get a truck and then it was only guarantee 30 miles in that contract so of course I was going to get charged even more not to mention I got charged for 2 trucks the first I couldn't even get. Then upon dropping it off I had to go even further. It was just the worst experience I have ever had! I would not recommend to anyone and I definitely will not be using again.

John EvansWas charged extra for gas and I put gas in it before I returned it, was charged almost 100.00 for cargo van and it was returned the next day to the store which was closed when I returned it and could not check it, not happy at will not use again

Michelle HarperI reserved mu U-Haul for Saturday 10/21/2017 in Kingstree. I received a phone call from True Value a few minutes after I had done my reservation online, and was told that they would not be open on Saturday but I could come pick it up before 5 on Friday and they would NOT charge me for the extra day. I agreed and arrived Friday sometime around 2:00 p.m. I signed all paper work stating I was only being Charged $24.79. After returning the U-haul Saturday afternoon I noticed I was charged the 24.79 twice on my account. I called and let True Value know and they said they would re-fund my money. Now here I am almost a month later with NO REFUND. I have called the store many times and the polite cashier keeps telling me that her manager is taking care of it, but obviously has not and the manager also will not call me back. Terrible management!!!! Still waiting on my refund!!!!

KURT LUDWIGI rent a 26 ft cab and if I drove 45 mph and up..it shook so bad it felt like it would fall apart. Really need some better maintenance. And I was totally disappointed because I booked it 10 days in advance so I could pick it up in Florence SC..but 1 day prior to pick up date. I was notified I had to drive an hour away for pick up. Unacceptable. They should make arrangements for an employee to drive the truck to the location you booked for.
Leslie GibsonWhen we missed the closing time for the location and brought the trailer back clean and empty at opening the next morning (9am), we paid a full additional day ($29.95?). That seemed unreasonable.
Paul FuenerThe pick up location was good. However, scheduling was horrible. I originally booked a truck for Saturday morning to pick up in Mount Pleasant, SC. So I booked moving help for 8:30 am Saturday. I was contacted by email Friday morning stating that my time and location changed. There was no way to reschedule the moving help. Everyone I spoke to in the Uhaul scheduling department were rude and not very helpfully. They did not care about my situation at all. I was disconnected twice. I ended up having to drive an hour and a half away to get a truck on Friday to guarantee that I had a truck Saturday morning when the moving help arrived. This was extremely inconvenient and cost me more due to the gas and time wasted to drive there and back. I feel that there should be some kind of compensation for my troubles. I would like for someone to contact me regarding this situation.
Celeste Carnaggio1 of the trailer's 4 tires was flat. Noticed this after loading trailer. Had to unload and switch from a 6 x 12 to a 5 x 8 making me do twice the number of trips of 80 extra miles and 2 more hours of driving.
