First, I had agreed to rent from Safe Mini Storage 3 in Brownsville AL. When I got there they told me they had no trailers. UI showed them my rental agreement with their location. The looked it up and told me I had to drive another 16 miles to Kings Wholesale Auto. They also said that the record showed I had been texted and emailed this change. But I had not, and would not have agreed to it if I had. I would have gone to a closer alternative. But I was not stuck and forced to drive way out of my way. At 2:00 pm Kings had doors locked. Owner came out after I knocked saying he was about to leave for the day and I was lucky I caught him. He had no record of the rental. He told me to go get the trailer I wanted from the back and drive up. I had to hook up a 6'X12' trailer by myself with no help or lift dolly. Luckily I had a cinder block with me to prop the trailer up. I am a strong man and could barely manage this. Note I had never before hooked a trailer up to a truck and was not sure I had done it correctly. When I drove back to the front the owner took a picture of my contract and said I was good to go. No payment. No paperwork. No anything. The next day I called U-Haul and you did not even know I had the trailer. I spoke with first a sales agent and then a scheduler. Both told me Keith Nelson, the area manager would call me to straiten this mess out. He never did. Later that day someone from U-haul called and asked if I still planned to pick up the trailer. I had had it for 24 hours at this point and had towed it 250 miles and was still driving.That night I was emailed a new rental agreement showing I had been charged. Note that this agreement did not include a location for drop off; only a phone number at U-Haul to call. So I had to call you again. Overall I hated this experience and feel U-Haul really dropped the ball a half dozen times. I was not contacted when my pick-up location changed. I almost did not get my trailer because the business did not know I was renting. I had to hook up the trailer by myself with no training or guidance. And I had to contact you to make sure you knew I had it. Even after all that Keith failed to call after 3 different U-Haul employees promised he would. And after all that I did not get a drop off location in my agreement and had to call again to get that.My next rental should be free as a minimum.

No one is there and this is the second time in 30 days i have dropped off Uhaul equipment there. When you call their number it always has a full voice mail and cannot take your message.

I could not get anyone to answer the phone or check in the trailer for 5 days.

Lose the small time dealers and go to "dedicated only" stores. Return ing equipment to a closed empty lot leaves a lot to be desired.
