First off I would like to say please ensure to have the lock information accessible for your renters. I rented the truck hired movers and was unable to move any items from my house due to not being able to open the truck because uhaul couldn't find the code word for the lock. This caused me to lose money because I still had to pay the movers $225. I was finally given the code word 8:30pm and it was too late to move anything and I was forced to move everything myself over the next couple of days. I was told by Zachary everything would be taken care of and wouldn't be charged late fees etc but was still charged. I did not like the service provided.Theresa S.

The key drop box was missing. The locations had different hours online and posted on the door. The location wasn't well maintained and there were no notes about the key drop box no longer being in its place, I spent a while walking around the property looking for it before calling the helpline and confirming the box was missing. The next day when I went to return the key in person the workers had no idea they had a Uhaul vehicle on their property and actually weren't sure about the process to accept a key.Maria R.

Uhaul 26 footer did not have correct tires on. Driver's side back tires were bald and different/incorrect sizes that led to a blowout on the road that cost me and my family an extra 3 hours of downtime.Reid F.
Have rental trucks that are actually maintained. Thar6 don't shake and veer the entire drive . Also the truck leaked gas and put me at risk of potentially being harmed. As people walked pass with lit cigarettes as gas spilled on the floor. I could have caught on fire when I try to refuel it up on return. Also as I'm leaving with the vehicle no one came out to you physically check the beginning mileage. So I'm guessing that they just guessed at how much I drove. But all in all this was a pretty bad experience. As I was driving the fuel cap decreasing rapidly only to find out that there was actual deterioration in the rubber couplings linking to the fuel lines on the vehicle themselves of which I have video. I was still ask to move the truck to a parked position after describing what occurred. The people were nice and seemed friendly. However these vehicles are definitely not up to par nor are they safe.Cheryl B.

It's a gas station that's crowded with broken gas pumps missing the hoses and a handful of homeless people wandering about. The location is dirty. There is very minimal signage letting you know that it's a Uhaul location. I only knew because there were two other Uhaul trucks in their tiny parking lot off to the side of the gas pumps. The ladies cashiering for the gas station did not answer my calls and had no idea I was coming to return my truck. They questioned if I was supposed to drop it off at their location and did not complete my return process or tell me how I needed to do it. I had to return to the location after leaving so I could complete the process with pictures, mileage, and fuel information. Not thrilled about this location. Only positive is the convenience of the fact that it's a gas station, so you can fuel the truck to your desired level for return, and it was the best gas price I've seen in town.Christopher W.
Again. Guy at location was very friendly and helpful but this is a location that I'd go to if I wasn't forced by Uhaul to go there. Reservations made a month ahead with a contract to drop truck five minutes from where I was in Phoenix/Scottsdale. Last minute change by Uhaul had me going an hour round trip to a very unfamiliar area to drop this off. After being on hold for two hours the lady in Phoenix said â€œsorry. System won't let me make any changesâ€. Uhaul just added completely unnecessary stress to the situation on both ends. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS STORE!!!!! Kings Mini Mart should never be allowed to rent a UHaul ever again. I made a reservation for a truck ahead of time. My wife dropped me off and I went in. The idiot at the counter couldn't find my reservation under my name and wouldn't search for it by the number. He told me to check his screen to â€œprove to me that I didn't have a reservation.â€ When I looked at his screen, I pointed at my name and reservation. Then the guy told me they didn't have a truck for me. I said ok, I'll take a smaller truck which they did have instead. He told me he couldn't do that and to call corporate. While standing in the store, the guy cancelled my reservation and moved it to another location without telling me. By the time someone from corporate answered the phone, my reservation had been changed to a different store, so they couldn't help me. After being stranded at the first store, someone (Felix was his name) finally apologized and gave me one of the smaller trucks at the first store. If the guy at the Kings Mini mart is the owner, he should never be allowed to rent UHauls again. If he was an employee, he should be fired.Nicholas M.

Actually I was booked online with another location, but when I got there, the gates were all SHUT... no entrance at all. Next we found a close by location that had UHAULS. Went in, they were very friendly, but had to call like 3 people to find out how to rent the vans out. They PROMISED to give us the rate of 19.95 Via for the van, did not get that rate, next I filled the tank to where I got it, which I have a pic of the dial on the uhaul, and they CHARGED me for extra gas. My bill was supposed to be under $100.00. Well it's not and I'm FUCKEN pissed. Please direct give me the # to corporate because they took EXTRA Money..edgar T.

When we started loading up our stuff my son opened the cab and went. There was a pipe, blade and lighter with some glasses. Then he started gagging. There was human feces in the corner with a burned sock. We were on a time schedule so we had no choice but to clean it, so we did. It was very disgusting. Also, the guy who we rented from said we can return it to the location closed to our destination. We tried and got there right before 7, they were already closed. When I called customer service she told me I had to return it to the same location. We were supposed to return it at 6, but because we had to clean it, we didn't return it until 7. It was such an awful experience I really think we should be refunded the whole amout we paid.Olivia H.

They had a van at the last minute, where as the Uhaul on 43rd and Camelback, in spite of 2 phone calls and an in person visit to explain my needs, didn't have the truck available, blamed me for being late- the reason for the in person visit the day prior to the reservation. and said they canceled the reservation Kings Mart picked up the slachk without an issue, gave me the discount that was promised. The U-Haul "mobile" experience is A DISASTER. On the night of May 12, we spoke with three representatives - Michelle, Fran and Richard - trying to get a truck via "Truck Share" on the final night of our move from one home to another. The service was so slow our reservation time slot kept expiring. We began the process at 7:30pm and gave up at 9:30 pm. We made a new reservation down the street at a filthy dangerous market (King's Market) littered with thieves, whores, gang members and drug addicts. We located the truck we reserved, but it was wedged between two other U-Haul trucks. "Mohammed" was kind enough to change the truck's ID number to an ID of a truck more accessible. However, the vague and poorly written instructions telling us where the key was did not match up with reality. We searched everywhere for the key and could not find a lock box. We went back online and chose the "Cannot find key" option. We were told to contact a "Felix Pena," someone allegedly available 24/7. No one ever returned my call. Ever. Felix Pena is utterly useless. We then chose the "Still cannot find key" option. That forwarded us to a screen telling us that our reservation has been finalized. We went inside the market and was told by a clerk behind bulletproof glass that they don't deal with the trucks. At that point we left, resigning ourselves to the fact that we would make multiple trips moving our remaining belongings with our personal vehicles. En route to our new home, we spoke with "Carol" at U-Haul who would not listen to our predicament. She did nothing but stay on her rigid little script, "You already made the reservation. All we can do is make you another reservation." It was too late to get another truck. We didn't want another truck. We wanted our reservation cancelled. But "Carol" was too damn dumb or too damn unempathetic to think outside the box and provide us with options. Now I am concerned I will be billed for a service that was never rendered. I will have to go to my credit card company because U-Haul has clearly not made their customer a priority. In person, we have had positive experiences with U-Haul (notably, the Laveen, AZ location on Southern Ave & 43rd Ave.) but the digital on-line experience really really really needs to be grounded indefinitely, reassessed, gutted and reconstructed. I have never asked for an apology before, but I feel strongly that someone - anyone at U-Haul with a shred of integrity and a nominal understanding of accountability - should reach out, restore our faith in your company, and offer a heartfelt "sorry."Martin S.
