The truck itself was in great condition and he was kind when I first made the reservation - everything else, terrible. The estimated quote I received from U-Haul was $257, including 500-600kms of driving and either 2 or 3 days of rental for the cargo van and insurance for $15 per day. I returned it after labour day at 8:41am on September 3rd because of personal troubles I had the night before. Meaning I should be charged for one extra day. This means it would be an extra $35 +tax, bringing the total to $292. I just got my invoice and I was charged $445. I got charged 100km more than I drove, and the entire amount of kilometers that I drove I was charged at a higher price per km than quoted. He also charged me an entire other day, tacking on another $35 +tax. I am extremely disappointed with the extra I was charged. Considering the quote given by haul was $200 less than what I was charged now, especially because I had put 200 extra kilometers as a buffer in the original quote as well. I am very upset and would like a refund. Gracias.Charles B.

As in all car rental companies, the fuel tank should be either full or half full when renting a car. It is not correct to give the vehicle to the lessor at other levels. The rental office should not use this tactic to increase revenue.Tekin T.

What to watch out for: 1) Ensure the windshield washer fluid is full. It was 100% empty when I picked up the vehicle and I didn't know until I attempted to use it. 2) Read the gas gage on level ground. I feel when it was read before I rented the vehicle, the vehicle was parked on a slant giving a misleading reading (more than was actually in the vehicle). I paid $20 in gas to go 37 km to get it back to the reading at time of rental. The owner is a lovely and kind man from beginning to end of the customer service experience. When I alerted him to these issues he offered me a compensation.Christine P.
