Have employees knowledgeable about the rental and check-in procedures. Have duplicate keys for truck in case key is lost or locked in the truck. Employee on hold for ten minutes when calling Uhaul number for help.

The truck I got was very dirty in the cab Someone smoked in there before and it smelled horrible and there was cigarette buds and ashes in the cup holder and the steering wheel and radio buttons were nasty feeling Took it back to my house and cleaned and disinfectant the cab part. Will not rent from them again.

I was not able to rent from the location it self. But I was able to talk directly with the field supervisor who was fantastic. She was very helpful and got me set up right away. Took care of my concerns. Very polite and ready to help. Great customer service!

Don't move the pick up location 24 hours before pick up. Also have the vehicle reserved available. Kershaw has made it right, but it should not have even been there. The reservation and pick up process was a disaster. By no means a reflection on Kershaw. Every other part of the process was a disaster.

I have NEVER in my life seen and experienced someone so rude and unprofessional as the man at Kershaw builders supply who took my info to put in the computer. He was a smart mouth that didn't want to listen to me as I explained to him what I was told by the lady at uhaul about what I was expected to pay upfront which was 100.00 and I would be charged 79 cents a mile afterwards which I would pay with my debit card the remaining balance and HE DID NOT WANT ME TELLING HIM WHAT I WAS TOLD , and told me REAL HATEFUL like ,"" that's not how we do it here ""!! , I told him I was prepared to pay the 100.00 deposit and he said I would have to pay the mileage up front which was 144 miles ( there and back) and when giving him mine and my fiance's driver license info he was mad already at me and so he kept telling me to start back over with our license numbers and when I did and he put it in the computer it didn't come up like he said it was supposed to and HE THREW HIS GLASSES AT THE COMPUTER!!! I wanted to run out the door!! I didn't know if he was gonna jump at me next and I told my grandson who is 15 and witnessed all this to go get my fiance Bill Walters who is a retired state trooper who was teaching a driving class next door to come help me with this man ! I got tired of him telling me the computer would not take the 100.00 deposit ( really?) So I told him to take the 216.00 he said I had to pay him to get the uhaul so I could get out of there and he did and when I asked him where the uhaul was he looked at me and held his hands up in the air and said , "" will you let me get this paperwork ready ? "" All he had to say was it was next door . He is the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL RUDEST MAN I HAVE EVER DELT WITH IN MY LIFE, AND UHAUL WILL NOT GET MY BUSINESS THERE EVER AGAIN. I was told to go to the uhaul dealer in Lancaster but I live in Heath Springs and kershaw builder supply was closer so IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THAT MAN. UHAUL IS GETTING A BAD RAP BC OF THE WAY PEOPLE ARE BEING TREATED IN KERSHAW. I CAN'T SPEAK FOR OTHER PEOPLE BUT I CAN TELL YOU I WANT RENT ANOTHER ONE THERE EVER AGAIN.

There was confusion at pick because I had ordered a 15' truck online and was told when I arrived that there was no such thing. I was given a 20' truck instead, but at least I was only charged the price that I was quoted online. The condition of the truck was very good!

make sure you understand all of the costs i paid online and then they tried to collect the full fee again at the pick up location even after being told it was paid,them i ended up paying $50 more dollars for insurance.I have used budget and penske and never had these problems. Gentleman at that location was very rude.

They were not friendly and inviting. The truck was not ready to go and was dirty inside. They did not bother to clean the inside of the cab that had french fries on the floor. Rental equipment was scattered throughout the store/warehouse and just didn't seem to have much structure.

Turned a U-Haul truck and trailer in here after moving to Heath Springs, SC. When I checked it in with them they said everything was fine and I had a good experience at that point and left with a smile on my face. About a week later, I checked my credit card statement and these THIEVES charged me a $28.00 cleaning fee on the trailer. The trailer was perfectly clean when I turned it in, in fact I washed it at a car wash on the way to turn it in. This is a pathetic way to screw over your customers.

We dropped the auto transport off early Saturday morning and dropped the contract in their drop box..We never received a confirmation that the equipment was turned in. We tried calling several times on Saturday to make sure it got checked in, but never could get an answer. Tried again several times on Monday and still no answer and the transport had not been checked in! I finally called the 800 number and they took care of it. All i ask if for you to answer you phone!

I was very disappointed with our experience with U-haul. I do not intend to use U-haul ever again in the future. I reserved a 17' truck from U-haul for a one-way trip from Hartsville SC 29550 to Charleston SC 29412. I was told to go to a location in Cheraw SC. I drove from Charleston for over 21/2 hours and when I called this location, I was told that they are not open on Saturdays. The person who answered the phone at the Cheraw location helped me find another location in Cheraw SC who had a truck. When I called the other location, I was rudely told that they did not have any truck available. I spoke to the branch manager who was not sure what is going on, but helped me find a new location in Kershaw SC, 50 miles away from my original locaton. Finally I was able to get a truck, but had to pay more than what I was quoted. I was initially given a price quote of $159 +tax+ insurance. In Kershaw, I was charged around $198 + tax + insurance. I paid this amount I believe that U-haul should refund the difference between the quoted and charged price. Thank you for your attention in this matter. Pramod R. Chopade

store opened on time but the employee who handled Uhaul rentals was an hour and a half late. 2nd there was a uhaul dealer much closer who had my truck but the people turned it in ealry and the dealer could not get a uhaul supervisor to release it. THis costed me about 75.00 more in extra milage.becouse had to go all the way to kershaw.
