Have some kind of grace period if dropped off early next morning. With raining issues Sunday we did the best we could to get it unloaded. To be charged 100 for returning next morning after a Sunday weekend day is robbery. We also were charged 2 extra days when it should have been one. I hate dealing with reps on the phone so will save the next person I talk to the grief.John S.

Their website states that they are open on Saturdays until 2pm. I returned the trailer at 11am and they were not open. I got charged for 2 extra days plus an after hours charge. When I called them they refused to take the charges off my bill.Richard B.

The facility was closed and required you to do an online drop off. Online drop off was pretty painless but over all but it would have been nice to know what was required when I reserved the truck or even when I picked it up.Ryan M.

Given the ease of communication via email or text, consider confirming with the customer (the day / evening before the rental pick-up) whether the requested rental vehicle is available and will be assigned for pick-up. Without such confirmation, the customer has no certainty that the requested rental vehicle will be assigned until arriving for pick-up. Such a confirmation will enable the customer to react accordingly, particularly in the case of unavailability to consider alternative vehicles or arrangements. To be clear, the rental vehicle that I requested was assigned at the requested date and time; the rental vehicle was clean and ready-to-roll; and the rental location staff were responsive and professional throughout the pick-up process. Furthermore, the Mobile Return went smoothly. All-in-All, an excellent experience. My suggestion above is merely to further leverage technology for the benefit of the customer and U-Haul.JOSEPH S.

The u-haul customer service in general was poor. My account was charged twice. It was first charged when i completed the online check in the day before and i paid in full for the truck. I got a confirmation email with the order number and amount i paid and then it was taken from my bank account. The next day when i went to get the truck there was no â€œpick up truckâ€ button and it was trying to make me pay again. I was already sitting in the lot staring at the truck. When i got on the phone customer service kept putting me on hold and transferring me and proceeded to try and tell me i never paid when i have the confirmation that i paid and the money was taken out of my account. They then told me that they canceled my order for absolutely no reason the night before and never informed or called me and i never got an email that it was canceled. I had to go on and reorder everything again and pay a second time and had to fight for a refund of my first payment which i still didn't receive. I also paid to rent several dollies which they said were in the truck and when we brought it home to move, not one dolly was in the back and we had to carry all appliances and furniture by hand to the truck even though i paid for dollies. I recommend any other service over u-haul itself.Alexander G.
Ensure that the correct keys are put in the lockbox. When I went to pick up my rental, the keys to a different van than what was listed on my contract were in the lockbox. Luckily it was the same size van and was on site, however it cost me 15-20 minutes with customer service getting the new vehicle assigned to my contract.Robert L.

I went 41 miles and put 15.00 worth of gas that put the needle a little past 3/8 of a tank. Looked at my summary and they charged me 17.oo for fuel. No way that could happen. Very upsetDuane M.

Require uhaul locations to abide by state laws such as masking in PA during the pandemic. Both employees at the site did not wear masks. They also overcharged by $400. Had to waste a bunch of time on the phone to get a refund from uhaul for the difference for what the price was given a month prior when booked. Also not knowing if or where the uhaul truck would be until the day prior was frustrating.Shawn D.

It was a average experience. Not the friendliest atmosphere, but fair enough. Better inform customers on the $20.00 convenience fee of returning U-Haul after hours; even though after hours was within the 24-hour rental. A little misleading.DAMON R.
After the rental I dropped the key to the guy inside and he told me to leave. No confirmation that the truck was OK no notice about how much it costs, no confirmation about how many miles I drove. I still haven't heard anything from Uhaul about the final cost. It was odd.gerald R.

Clean the inside of the cab, it looked like there were cookie crumbs and smashed french fries on the floor and in the back with a bunch of plastic. I have used U-Haul previously three times and all those trucks were clean.Jeffrey W.

Make sure rental has all extra item in it. I had ordered a furniture dolly. It wasn't in van and I had to go to another location to pick one up. While I was credited, it did cause an interruption in time.Marc S.

I didn't realistically calculate in the pick up and transport of the items for this move. It took longer than l had anticipated. I rented the van because it said it could hold a queen size mattress and box spring. I had difficulty getting the bed into the van-it did not lie flat on the floor due to the wheel wells nor did it fit on it's side. As far as the return went- l would suggest that the return time be calculated by the time one initiates the on line return program. If one is not quick in responding to all your questions and requests for pictures of the interior cab and cargo area in addition to the outside parking pictures, then the return time is lengthened unnecessarily.Peggy H.

Although I confirmed the pick up location to be the requested site weeks prior, 2 days before my move it was changed to a location 35 minutes from my home. It was clear truck was not cleaned. Also, passenger door was left ajar so when I started the van received message that passenger door was open. This eventually impacted the battery which dies requiring me losing 3 plus hours waiting for roadside assistance.Stephen G.
