There was no UHAUL sign at this business making it difficult too find this location, as the UHAUL pick up was within another business. We initially drove past and had to turn around and go back (addresses on this strip are hard to see and it was hard to tell where it was). It would be beneficial to have a UHAUL sign that can easily be seen from the street. The other issue I had was I called 1-800 number to book a UHAUL truck. I was sent a text and had to stop home briefly before picking up the truck and inadvertently left my phone at home. I did not realize that the text sent to me had a link on it to download my license and was necessary for picking up the truck. When I explained that I forgot my phone at home the vendor refused to let me pick up the vehicle - my house was 30 mi drive away. I asked if he could cancel the reservation and start a new one. He said no because I didn't have a phone. I said I have my license and credit card and asked if I can use that. He said no, I don't know you. I told him that I am giving him all the information and didn't understand why there would be an issue if I am still giving him the information and I asked what about people that don't have a cell phone. He said no phone no truck - he sad I'm not going to chase you down if you don't return the truck on time. He was very rude. Luckily my daughter was outside and had a cellphone and we started a new reservation, but this was very inconvenient. We were having some extreme family issues and I was very stressed at the time. If I had to return home to get my phone I wouldn't have made it back in time before the store closed. No one explained that if I did not have my phone I would not be able to pick up the truck.Judith S.

Had prebooked weeks in advance. Called to ask to make changes and the guy was rude and quick to hang up. When I asked if it was rented he said "should I delete your reservation?" I said "no". Upon picking up the uhaul, my brother went and they made him pay a deposit which was not mentioned before - in all my time renting Uhauls, I never had to pay more than was the estimated price. When returning the unit, the man yelled at my brother to move the truck - yet he just parked it where he picked it up from. The man was rude to my brother when returning the keys and that put my brother in bad mood. A month later (Sept 2) I attempted to visit the convenience store linked to the uhaul and the man kicked me out and would not serve me. He yelled at me and degraded me and gave me no reason why he was kicking me out. I called Uhaul to make the complaint and they told me that because I wasn't there for Uhaul business they could not do anything about it. clearly this business is representing Uhaul and any customer matter should be of concern to Uhaul. I am very upset and looking at pursuing this further. With all the Uhaul complaints on Google and Yelp, they should be read by the Uhual rep and should remove this store as a uhaul outlet. Had to go to another site to pick up trailer, could not rent a receiver although website said one could. Staff very cocky and adamant that there was only one way to do install hitch. He also wrapped the chains around the bar between trailer and truck- this is very unsafe and illegal. We changed it after he left.Kevin T.
Both back tires were under inflated and the person at the store did not care. The back tires were at 40 and 50 psi, and they should have been 80 psi for this make of van. He asked me to fill the air myself, which I did before moving things. The van was also almost a year behind on maintenance. The windshield sticker indicated it was supposed to go in for a check-up last year. The store person also was not at the location when I showed up to drop off the vehicle, and I had to wait for him to come back. He was generally a nice guy, but the overall experience did not inspire a ton of confidence in the safety of U-Haul vehicles.Andrew Z.

The site didn't tell us what kind of connection we needed For the trailer. We could have brought the adaptor, instead I had to pay an additional $30 for the light adaptor. The rental agent also was ride to me but all chummy with my male friend who was driving despite me being the actual client. I found it disrespectful. The pick up location did not match where we had to actually get the truck from. The location was closed. My husband wasted almost 2 hours getting the truck. They were calling still wanting it dropped off on time. I was told this was not their problem and I had to call Uhaul customer service. The wait was a minimum 45mins when I called. We were moving, I didn't have time to fuss around with this. We had no wifi so my phone was not working too good regarding using the online service option. We did have to keep the truck longer. For on line bookings you need to clearly identify locations that are same pick up and return ONLY. I ordered my truck, on line, almost 3 weeks in advance, only to be told it was unavailable and I had to go to Edmonton and pick it up. Adding an hour and a half to my journey. There was NO UNFORESEEN COMPLICATION as was indicated by the scheduling agent I spoke with. By accident I learned the real reason was this agency I was booked with has a rent and return to the same location policy. Uhaul screwed up plain and simple, refused to admit any fault & I covered the extra expense along with enduring the inconvenience. My original booking clearly indicated a pickup in Stony Plain with return in EdsonJudy H.

Booked Uhaul on june 30 on bulk barn wholesale location in Edmonton at 9pm. After 2 days I got an email that my pick up location is changed to 51st avenue southside. Went to pick it up there but there was no cargo van. Tried calling/texting online support but nobody replied/answered. Booked a cab and went to wholesale location thinking that it might be there, nothing there too. Wandered at both location, it was almost midnight. So, booked a cab and went home. Next day tried calling again got answered after an hour long wait, I explained the disappointing experience I had last night on phone to a lady, she said whoever booked the cargo van before me had extended hold and said they could do nothing about it. She was extremely rude on phone and just asked me to rebook it again and I might get it this time. Absolutely disappointing experience as I wasted my day couldn't move my stuff waited outside pick up locations up until around midnight and wasted almost $100 in cab back and forth as I couldn't get uhaul.mohit R.

Two different lots. Had to sign contract, then try to find the other lot. This was not the pick up location I selected. Was a pain to my experience. I have never had a good experience with U-Haul. The staff here was excellent. Took me to the trailer, hooked it up . The team member stayed with the trailer as I had to go buy different hooks for the chains as they would not fit to my truck.
