The employees present when I returned the truck did not explain changes from the original quote and no employee checked the vehicle when I picked it up or dropped it off. I was not offered any way to mark the state of the truck, including any damage or dirt present before I used it.

Inform customer up front about the extra $20 fee to return after hours. I narrowly escaped this charge by reaching out about my return through customer service, but dude at checkout made it sound like after hours was the same as returning during business jours and i only discovered the extra charge by reading the fine print. No one was answering the phone by 345p and supposedly hours were open until 4p. Not saying they absolutely would have charged me the extra $20 because i never confirmed my return in store, but i did return long before 4p and had no way to know about the charge until i looked at the contract

The two individuals that worked when I rented this item were very inconsiderate rude nasty unprofessional they did NOT help us connect the equipment to our vehicle and I almost injured myself I will NEVER EVER go to this location ever again.

On-line reservation didn’t seem to work. I ended up having to talk to a coughing reservationist who seemed to get the job done. She was nice but was having a gagging issue.

Normally when I rent a U-Haul, they come out and help you hook up the trailer. Not only did they not come out and help, but the trailer was in the mud. It was a soupy mess. There were other places that the trailer could have been parked. I was extremely disappointed. When I returned it, they told me to put it where I found it, I told them I would not and parked it on the asphalt. Probably where it should have been. The trailer needed to be swept before using it, other than that I have always enjoyed pulling these tandem trailers. They are built well and pull easily. I will be renting a drivable 26' soon, but not from there.

Make it closer to pick up the U-Haul or have it delivered or something it costs so much money when you're moving and then you're paying extra for the 129 plus the gas plus going there to get it and bringing it back it really is enough stress moving than to have all that. And then being charged for extra day when you've already got extra days free it's just not right it makes it more stressful

Drop off confusing. Service rep did not offer any information readily about drop off process. Would only answer the question I asked but was very unclear about any of the process. At one point I just asked if she was busy (no other customers in store, no phones ringing) and if I should come back later because of how bothered she seemed to answer three questions about returning a trailer.

There is no place to give general feedback about my overall experience, so I will do it here. I reserved my U-haul weeks ago. Your website said that if there wasn’t what I needed available, it would be located. Before picking up the truck, i pulled up my confirmation email which had my pick up location- Brooklyn Park, and my drop off- Buffalo. I had a group of people set to come help at 10:30 am. We arrived at the brooklyn park location- which had dozens of trucks, all sizes in the lot. When we got to the front of the line we were told we needed to go to Crystal to pick up. When asked why, we were told.. “you received an email and a text to let you know of the change.” I pulled out my phone and there was no text. I pulled up my email- again and there was no email. we spent time getting back in our car and driving to the Crystal location. That location was a strip mall with three trucks. We walked in and we’re confused on where to even go. Finally, we found this random weird suite with a motion sensor for invoice that we couldn’t even understand. We weren’t sure if we could walk in or not and finally we did. Inside was the most random weird shop that had outdated items for sale. They also were selling Herbalife, fax and copies, notary services, and UPS. the person working didn’t know how to help us with a U-Haul and doubted that we were even supposed to be there. I had to show them a printed piece of paper that the other location gave me with their address. Meanwhile there’s a toddler in a diaper wandering around this random shop. The person had no idea what to do and had to call someone to get help. We were there for literally almost an hour. Meanwhile, I have helpers waiting at my house. We finally get home with the truck after noon. As i am driving, I get a text .telling me I now have to drop off the U-Haul in coon Rapids. That is literally an hour or more away from where I was supposed to drop off the truck. Moving is stressful as it is and when someone reserves a truck in advance and is given a confirmation of both the drop off and the pick up place, there should be no reason to change it and if so, they should be given proper notice. Fortunately, the manager at the brooklyn The Park location was helpful, calm and patient despite how upset and frustrated I was. He told me that they could make an exception he put notes on my record, and I was able to drop off in Buffalo. That whole experience was crazy ridiculous stressful and frustrating. this should never of happened! I would like to recommend that you send a representative to your Crystal location to see what kind of . reputation your company is getting. I was sent away from a professional well-stocked specifically U-Haul location. But I reserved weeks in advance (that had dozens of trucks). To a random crazy shop that literally had three trucks. Not cool, not professional, not a good way to represent your name. I would love to speak to a representative about this.

My trailer had only one brake light. The location said UHaul was responsible for the maintenance on trailers and they couldn't fix them. There was only ONE trailer available and I had no choice but to take it. Uhaul had switched me to this location so I feel they are responsible all around with this issue.

Klatt did an excellent job of accommodating my needs. I had called a representative earlier and was not able to fulfill my rental without giving a credit card number . This was not something I was comfortable with. When I dealt directly with Klatt, everything went very smoothly and had no issues.

We had a horrible experience, partly our fault for not taking pictures of the gas and mileage when we got into the vehicle. The truck was clearly not checked in before we took it from the prior users the night before, causing us to overpay for gas and mileage by $200. It was absolutely frustrating. I am not broke, and its not about the money, it was the principal that someone didn't do their job, prior to checking us out. It was supposed to be almost 100 degrees that day, I was in a rush and should have took pictures and walked back in. I will not be using Uhaul again.

It was closed when we arrived to return the truck around 10 Saturday night. (We knew they would be closed.). The only issue we had with the truck rental was the return process. For some reason, UHaul apparently tried to change the drop off location from Buffalo to Brooklyn Park after we picked up the truck in Forest Lake and were using it to move. Not only did I not receive the email from UHaul until after I had returned the truck to Buffalo, i would not have been able to return it to Brooklyn Park even if I had received the email during the day of the move. In addition, the online instructions said to scan a bar code next to the drop off box. Maybe there was a bar code in Brooklyn Park but I couldn't find one in Buffalo. Finally, after I dropped the contract into the contract slot in Buffalo, I tried to drop the truck key into the key slot. However, the key slot was too narrow for the truck key to pass thru it. A frustrating close to what was otherwise a good rental experience.

It's been several years since my last rental. Boy, has things changed. This is my first time renting from a Minnesota dealer. A friend of my family managed the East Alton, Il. Uhaul facility and the equipment and customer service was excellent. At the Buffalo Mn. facility, the rep took my information, printed my contract and handed me the keys. I questioned about inspecting the truck and he said that's between you and Uhaul. I said, I thought you were Uhaul. He said the truck is out back. I did a walk around the truck and found a lot of minor damage for which I took pictures of. I sent the picture to my girlfriend to record date & time. When I got back to my residence to load, I found the rear of the truck heavily soiled with dried pop or coffee. Someone had also tracked through the liquid as dirty footprints were everywhere in the truck interior. Also, the windshield was coated with bug guts which I cleaned after loading. After leaving on my trip, I noted there was quite a bit of play in the steering. It was windy but the steering was difficult to manage both with the wind and against. Upon returning, I left the truck outside the building as a car and pull trailer blocked the side driveway. The rep inside asked me for the mileage and gas reading. I informed him for paying $500 for less than 1 day rental, I expected at leased a clean truck without the windshield covered with bug juice. He said that's an issue between you and Uhaul. Confused, I said do staff here not work for Uhaul and he said your receipt will be emailed to you. I asked if there were added charges to my estimated contract and he said no. However, when I received my receipt, it was $40 more than my estimate. All in all, this experience was not pleasant and the customer service was far less than I had received in the past. Maybe Uhaul has just turned their facilities over to third party's. Staff tend not to take ownership of the company if they aren't employed by the company. If so, I'll probably goes elsewhere for future truck tentals in Minnesota.

I was not able to get the size truck I reserved because the person before me was quite late returning. I was not able to get the dozen moving blankets I ordered because the facility only had a few. Aside from that, this location is helpful and friendly and easily accessible.

Rented a 15' truck. The floor of the box/truck storage was completely muddy, including the top storage area. The ramp was muddy and had debris all over it. My wife and I had to clean it for 45 minutes and dry it prior to use as we couldn't put any of our furniture, mattresses and more on the floor as it was. Due to being in a hurry and the truck being parked in muddy gravel area, didn't pull the ramp out and get inside when picking it up. Didn't see how muddy the floor was until we were ready to load. Very disappointed and store stated it was out of their hands and that I should deal with Uhaul directly. Very disappointed with this experience.

I have rented twice in the last month and both times the truck I reserved was not there. The reservation system needs improvement and it should be easier to contact a live rep to resolve. The burden falls on the local agent who has nothing to do with the scheduling of the trucks
