Have the data right upon pick up. The site and the truck did not match and this is causing a severe overcharge, which I will pursue with a legal procedure if it is not rectified forthwith.

Gave me attitude that I showed up at the approved time BC he was in renovations and I assume wasn't expecting to be at work that day. Claimed there was 1/2 tank in the truck when it was almost empty. There was none of the normal U-Haul procedure. He just took my ID, and took a debit transaction from his stores terminal since I didn't have cash or credit on me (may have been my fault, I didn't read to see if that was required). No paperwork was provided/signed, no walk around of the vehicle/damage check. I only learned that he claimed there was half a tank when I dropped the vehicle off to the drop off location and they brought it up. They even thought it was peculiar that so much fuel was "missing" given that the mileage barely changed. One of the most unprofessional consumer experiences I've ever had.

Worst experience. Would never do this again. The truck was A MESS. There was a half chewed dog bone in the back. Clear that they don't care. The app wouldn't work so it cut into my rental time by a full hour. Overall, very bad experience. Would NOT recommend.

Location was fine but the truck smelled like manure from the previous customer and the operator just said "oh that doesnt surprise me" when I brought it to his attention.

Online pick up was a nightmare. Took 45 minutes with all the validation and references. The app doesn't work properly. Then the keys were not where indicated. Finally found them in the broken drop off box. Returning also.. Had to leave keys unsecured in broken drop box. Won't use self pickup again.

The van did smell like livestock but that is not the dealers fault. Obviously the folks renting before us moved some kind of creature.

Extremely poor service, my worst experience with renting anything. There was no snow tires on my van and caused me to get stuck in light snow for over an hour. Therefore, I did not have time to fill up on gasoline and I was charged for an error that was out of my control. U-Haul costumer service called by multiple times AFTER I returned the vehicle, stating that I had not returned the it. I was left a message threatening to charge my credit card for multiple extra days, when the van was in their lot already! Laughably poor quality control, vehicle maintenance and costumer service.

This location is not a gas bar despite the information from the U-Haul website. As a result I had to pay U-Haul gasoline rates instead of local market gas rates as I was not able to fill up the truck at the drop off location or anywhere nearby.

i would recommend this place if all you need is a trailer and nothing else and as long as you know about hooking up trailers and wiring. trailer was there when we arrived and the people there were excellent to deal with but they had nothing extra that i needed, like blankets, which wasn't indicated to me when i received information that i was to pick up our trailer at this location. uhaul could have told me that so i could have planned accordingly. the guys were very nice and accommodating but had absolutely no idea about hooking up trailers - lucky that we have pulled trailers before and knew what we were doing.

I had a truck pickup in Kingston,ON and U-Box that was supposed to be picked up in Kingston, ON. But, they had my U-Box for pick up in Kingston, NY. Overall experience was very poor. There was a serious disconnect between the online service and the in-store service.

When we picked the truck up they were unable to locate all of the U-Haul locations in Kingston to arrange for the free storage they offered. We were told we could get 1 month free storage since we were travelling one way. We went to the 2459 Princess Street location to use the storage option. In spite of phoning the day I booked the truck we were told the only locker was a 5x10 with a 6' ceiling height. I had told them we needed at least a 10x10 with 8' ceiling and was told "no problem, we have lots of units right now". When I asked if I could reserve a locker I was told no need to since they had so many available. When we asked about this the day we arrived we were first told there has to be 3 available lockers in order to reserve one. Then we were told you can't reserve a locker when it is free for a one way truck rental. Manager Rob Kilfoyle was absolutely useless and made no attempt to even help us find alternate storage facilities. In fact, he barely made eye contact during any of our conversation. I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone and I especially would not recommend 2459 Princess Street in Kingston to anyone, unless you relish being treated like an inconvenience instead of a customer. We were also charged for kilometers even though I was told we would get 283km free, and didn't use that many. They nickel and dime you and fail to be up front with paying customers.

The location was fine. The fact that I'd received a $290 quote that turned into $360 the moment I arrived... not so fine. The staff and service was great, but U-Haul's deceptive practice of quoting a low price online and then shafting you when you show up... never again.

We had requested a furniture dolly and furniture pads and they were not available at this location. We were instructed to proceed to the location on Princess Street to get these items. The Princess Street location is the one we had originally requested as our pick-up location. We had also requested a 10 foot truck, and were given a 14-foot truck, which is all that was available at the King Street West location. The Princess Street location had quite a few trucks in their lot and I imagine one of them would have been available for us to use for one night.

For starters you can do something for me. A man named John called my home shortly after I made the reservation online for a 14' Moving Van $29.95, Furniture Pads $10.00 and Furniture Dolly $7.00. He said the lacation I was renting from only had the 10 ft or the 26 ft van and that he was putting me in the larger unit. I only needed the 10 ft unit so I called the location and the individual really didn't know what I was talking about when i called and he said that he would rent me the 10 ft for 19.95 that next morning. I arrived at the location and the goco ownwe rented me a 10 ft van with no firniture dollies or pads for 29.95. When I asked him about this he said he didn't set the price the computer did and there was nothing he could do. I really would like difference I am owed here. I waited 30min for the u-haul man to arrive after just finding out the day before moving that I would need to drive 1 hour to pick the truck up as there were none closer to my home. The tank was not full when I received the truck and he refused to fill it up saying it was his policy to give the customer the truck with 1/4 tank. He then proceeded to tell me that I should fill the tank up completely and if when I returned the truck there was more gas in it then 1/4 tank they would refund me money. I later came to find this is completely untrue. I hope there will be consequences for Goco Gas as he blatantly lied to me to get me to fill up at his station. I will not be using u-haul services again, as when I called u-haul to explain my situation I was answered with very short and rude answers of which the representative basically told me there was nothing that could be done if he was lieing and it was my fault for believing him. Please enforce the policy that the truck is to be filled with gas when the customer picks up it otherwise the customer is losing money on gas.

First of all I booked this truck over three weeks ago to pick up at your Forrest location and had to change my route as a truck was not made available for me there. Not including the 6 calls made to me interrupting me at work before picking up my truck because he wanted to sort the paperwork out ahead of time as (he) the manager would not be there and it was not convenient for him as he was going out. His English was bad and had to keep calling me back as he forgot to ask me all of the questions in one phone call. When I got there all the guy (his assistant) wanted me to do was sign ....he didn't say what it was I was signing.... just told me to sign ...... when I asked him what it was that I was signing he said he didn't know. He then asked me to sign to say that I picked up the van with no damages ...... I told him "No" and that I needed to inspect it. When I went back and told him that the van was already damaged ,then and ONLY then was when he came out to check that we were telling the truth ..... I circled where the damages were and was told that I didn't have to do that. The worst thing was that he didn't even tell me that it was a truck from the U.S and the speedometer was in MPH .... If I hadn't have realized this myself I could have had a speeding ticket. On the whole I was not impressed with my U-Haul experience this time , I have used you many times in the past and this is the worst location and staff that I have ever met..... Please re-train them and teach them customer service and possibly English as a second language.
