Everything was good but I didn't know why I got charged more after received complete return process receipt by email, i was return the van even 4 hours before my 72 hours rent, no messages or receipts for extra charge I just learn from my account.FASILREGASSA W.
Do not rent from here. I arranged the rental online and paid for a 6 hour rental. When checking in the man at the counter told me to have it back in approximately 3 hours because they needed the truck for another customer. When i told him I would go to another Uhaul so i can get my paid for 6 hours, he then said oh ok, yeah, just bring it back at 2 (which was 6 hours). That should've been my first clue. Then, after bringing the truck back, clean, fueled to 1/4 as it was when I left, they decided to claim it was only at 1/8 a tank and charged me $21/fuel and $30/fill charge. Luckily, i took the time to examine their long receipt and noticed where they lied. I called them to assure them i returned with 1/4 tank, they argued and claimed it wasn't and I was responsible for the additional $50+ charge. I ended up having to prove myself by texting a photo i took to the personal phone of the man behind the counter! He called and left a voicemail stating he physically went and verified that the truck was indeed at Â¼ tank. He apologized and said I was being refunded $58. I checked my account and there was updated charge so I texted to ask when I would be given my refund, at which point he stated that the truck wasn't at Â¼ tank, which it was, and that a customer has since rented the truck which was completely unrelated and off topic. I'm now having to submit a fraudulent charge claim with my bank in order to recoup this robbery. Not how you treat customers and certainly not how to professionally run a business.Zachary M.

When I signed up I was supposed to receive a call due to availability. I didn't get a call. I received a text the morning of that said the reservation was at my location and gave a link. So I went to the location, to find out the link in the text tells me the truck is at a different location. When I got to that location they had given the truck away because I was late. (Having gone to the original location.) The lady there (Capital SW Wash DC)was Very helpful and called around finding me a truck at the final location on Oakwood in Alexandria,VA.BRUCEJAMES-PAUL B.
The tank was only 1/4 full of gas. Is this normal? I ended putting in way more gas than I started with.Karen K.
Communicate with the customer if the truck is not going to be ready at the scheduled time. I completed the online check in 10 minutes before my reservation and received a message that a vehicle had not been assigned yet. Located in a slope with a sharp drop from the road pavement to the dirt and grass yard. No room to turn around. There is no paved lot and the lot is not level. Working alone, I lost control of the trailer after lifting it off the hitch. It damaged the back of my truck and almost ran over me. Location specified drop-off before 3 pm. I arrived at 2:30. The office was closed and no one answered the phone. The return was not processed until the next morning.Daniel T.

This location was very helpful, although it was a little hard to find. However, this was not my original drop off location, which was 5654 Columbia Pike in Falls Church, Virginia. When I attempted to return my truck at that location, the worker told me he was full and could not take it, and was pretty brusque. Also, he was not very helpful about finding a place where I could drop it off, and I had to call the 800 number to find somewhere to deliver the truck. It ended up being a place many miles away, across town. This was NOT a pleasant experience.Mark B.

U haul corporate is a bunch of Cucks and decided to change my rental agreement on me , not once but twice!!!! First you changed where I would pick up my truck and didn't send me an email telling me about my new pick up location. So I spent double what I was expecting In order to pick up my truck. Second,, you changed my reservation timing. Requiring me to change my whole move out plan. Again didn't find out until I was picking up my truck. I had to rent my truck for an extra day due to my apartment elevator being out of service for maintenance. I tried to extend the rental for an extra day online and was unable to. Denise from the location called me at 10:17 am to see the status of the truck which is fine. I was unable to answer at that moment because I was at work. She left a voicemail and in the voicemail she said she would report the truck as stolen which I thought was completely unnecessary. The company has my credit card information, drivers license, and I have rented with the company several times. I did not appreciate the lady from that location implying I was trying to steal the U-Haul truck on the very first call she made to follow up on the truck. I am a working professional like any person and why would I risk my career to steal a U-Haul truck? That lady needs to work on her customer service skills and shouldn't talk to customer's like that especially when we are the ones keeping the company in business. I will not be renting from that location again nor will I recommend that location because of customer service is lacking from the staff. I brought it to the attention of the owner when I returned the vehicle and was told she was under a lot of stress. Everyone is under stress and that is not an excuse to be rude to the customer.Michael O.

There were two issues with the 24/7 pick up, or whatever it is called. The first was I had to have a reference that would be called. It does not state the person will be called, so I had not told them to be expecting it. As a result, they didn't answer an unknown number. It took several minutes to work through this. The second issue was with the app. When it asked for me to take pictures of the odometer and gas gauge, It would not accept the pictures. Finally, after trying for several minutes, I went on the website and it worked the first time. Aside from that, everything was good. It wasn't a make or break experience for me, but I think if those two issues are fixed it would make it easier for the next customer.Victor R.
