I was told by the rep at my pick up location that I should call the number on my rental agreement when I’m ready to drop off my rental to confirm which locations can accept my type of rental. So I did. The gal I spoke to told me where there was a 24-hr drop off, so we drove there after dark to drop off the rental. It was a scary place, with broken down cars all around, unpaved road, and poor lighting. I wouldn’t have felt safe had I been alone. The next day, I saw a charge for $20 extra, for an extra day, though I turned it in a day early. I called to ask about the charge, but no one answered or responded to my message. Now I’m wondering if the $20 fee was because I called to ask for a place to deliver my rental. I feel like I was robbed of $20.

Our truck was not well maintained— the truck had significant difficulty with shifting gears and made some strange sounds as we drove. It was mostly clean, but the cab smelled a bit funny.

My experience is the same every time. I schedule a trailer and it is never available where uhaul says it will be. This time I drove to the location uhaul said was where the trailer would be and of course it was not there. The uhaul reservation is not a reservation it is a wish that you want to be true, but never is.

The location and the truck were great. The employee that was there was extremely helpful and very pleasant, I would definitely do business with them again. The only concern is that when I booked the truck over the phone the cost was significantly less than what it was when I went to pick up the truck. The mileage was the same and all things were the same.

Just dropped off after hours. Signage for how to drop off after hours would be nice to have as there was a whole process of picture taking and such that I wouldn't have known about if I hadn't looked it up on our contract.

I want to commend the 2 people working the front desk during my morning pick up. It was busy and they were doing their best. Even though I had to wait an hour to pick up my truck, by the time I was helped the lady was so nice she added another 20 miles to my account for the trouble. This helped me greatly as I had to drop off the truck to another uhaul. I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name but she is the epitome of customer service.

I-Haul never told me they changed the pick-up location until I arrived to the one on my reservation. They just sent me 20 minutes further, in the middle of nowhere. Never again!

It took about an hour or more of just standing at the desk Just to get a truck and tow that I already pre-paid for and everything beforehand. This completely ruined the schedule I made for movers, so I really wouldn’t recommend this place. Also, it’s in an awkward location where it’s a dead end, single-lane, narrow road that’s hard to make u-turns and what not; definitely this is nerve-racking for renting moving equipment. The first tow given to me was damaged, so they let me use another, but then it turned out the truck’s “fuse was out” so the blinkers wouldn’t work on the tow, which delayed everything by 30-60-minutes. Since I have to pay movers by the hour, u can imagine how awful this has been for me. I was hoping too that the staff could teach me about the tow and how it works for like 5 minutes, but they refused saying there are YouTube videos on it. It’s true there was one, but the video didn’t talk about how to unlatch the car from the tow, which is pretty ***ing pertinent, plus I don’t want to rely on cellular data internet connection in a new area to learn something necessary at the moment I need to learn it, so that really f**d me, if u ask me. Then there was this time- and this isn’t a huge deal, honestly, but since I’m in the flow of writing, I might as well go all out- where I was being asked to back Up the truck to the tow so it can be attached, and the staff who was helping me kept asking me to drive the truck out and back again to angle it just perfectly and what not instead of just very close to the tow (within 12inches). This was tedious since it’s a narrow, single-lane road etc but what pisses me off the most is that he said “the tow is heavy, I don’t want to carry it to the truck”. I brought that truck multiple times within 1 foot of the tow, and he was unhappy about the angle and stuff. Why? It’s heavy? I got duped, because when I had to put the tow back on to deliver it, it wasn’t hard at all to move it several feet let alone 12 inches. It has wheels. Don’t be lazy. I had no issue doing it in pitch dark on slanted ground at 45 degree angle, so I really feel like i was hassled for nothing. This only added about 5-10minutes of total time wasted at this facility (so like1.5-2.5hrs I think I spent there...) but I dunno man maybe a u haul isn’t the appropriate business for these people to run.

I went to this location on Wednesday to book UHAUL for Saturday. I told them the name of new location which is 30 miles so far. they did the reservation for me. when I came back on Saturday for receiving the truck and after took my ID and credit card information, they told me to return the track to this location. I said to them why you didnt tell me on Wednesday when you reserved truck for me even during time of reservation you asked me my moving address and you know its 30 miles so far. Now I scheduled everything and I am in shortage of time. I had no option because I wasnt able to find one-way truck on saturday. unfortunately, I really disappointed with this deal. I think they cheating me because earning of more money. any ways I did my moveing and drove 30 miles back to drop the truck at the same location and they charged double without explain me at the time of reservation. I forget to say, I put 3 gallons gas in truck during the time of return to submit truck as same fuel level but unfortunately they charge me $16 as the fuel charge in the bill. I think dishonest people work at this Uhaul branch speacialy old lady who tries give you wrong information. I called UHAL costomer service on sunday and tell all the bad experience happened to me. they give me reference number and I am waiting to receive email from manager person to discuss with him. I dont recommend this location to any one.

Order was messed up. I reserved over a month ago a 20" truck in sterling. I received a confirmation text the day before pick up, to go to a location 2 hours away to pick up the truck. Uhaul changed my location without consulting me, because they did not have the truck available for my pick up a day before reservation pickup date. I got a new location to pick up, ended getting a downgrade truck from what i needed. They gave me a 15" truck instead of 20". The establishment was closed even though they were supposed to be open for business. I was originally going to pick up the truck at 6am. The 15"truck was set to be picked up at 8am but the establishment didnt open until 9am cause the representative was late. I only got a $9 dollar refund for my downgrade., lateness and screwup. I had to pay movers from 6am which was the original pickup time. Uhaul's mistake costed me an additional $250 in cost because of the company's screwup. I dont think i will use uhaul again

I made a reservation for a 10 ft.truck on Vine Street in Alexandria, Virginia. When I arrived to pick up my tru k I was told that they don’t have any trucks there. One of the employees said that he didn’t understand why they kept making reservation for that location when they don’t have any 10 fat. trucks there. I wasted at least half an hour waiting in line just to be told that there’s no truck for me and to top it off I had to go to another location to pick up a truck. Surely, this is not how you treat your customers because I feel this is completely unprofessional.

Rental agent was fantastic. Quite busy on a Saturday but she was very polite and professional. I’m in customer service and she was top notch. Parking lot is a little less than desirable. Large drop off in front of the office. But I managed to navigate around it .

I was concerned that the amount of fuel to start with was it validated by the Renter.. during initial inspection I was not given the keys to start the truck to validate that I even had 3/4 tank. When I drove away I noticed that I didn’t receive 3/4 tank full. It was closer to 5/8 tank full.

The location was lae in opening. The app for checking out and back in the truck did not work properly. They resolved the issues but it took time and extra phone calls.

The app and computer system are a mess. It didn't work at pick up or drop off. It was slow and made me restart the process several times. The staff and the other customers were having the same problems. This location does not have enough parking for all of their trucks. There was no where to park at drop off.

The overall parking area needs to be improved/resurfaced. The managers of this uhaul are really awesome.....kind, thoughtful, understanding, helpful. Great folks!!! Really enjoy working with them!!!

Trailer has items form previous use inside, also, trailer was noisy and loud, as if it needed maintenance / lubrication / adjustment. Regardless, I had no issues with it.

To improve for the next customer, STOP CHARGING A $20 AFTER HOURS DROP-OFF FEE!! This location closes at 3PM! My preferred location closes at 7PM but didn't have the equipment I needed. The staff are excellent at this location. They provide much value added customer service. But this location was not designed nor intended to serve as a commercial lot. The ability of a customer to maneuver a large truck or prime mover/trailer combination is at risk due to the lack of parking space. Many vehicles and trailers are parked on/next to a public street making ingress/egress hazardous. Ane they close at 3PM! I selected a different location (closer to my home and a wide expanse of hardstand driving area and closes at 7PM) but my requested trailer was summarily changed to keep the my preferred location. I had to accept 5420 Oakwood Rd to get my preferred trailer. Next time if my preferred equipment is at this location, I'll either use alternate equipment or find another location with my preferred equipment. And stop with the $20 after hours drop-off fee and have the location stay open later than 3PM!
