It was inconvenient alternative to our preferrred location. It took us 40 minutes to drive there, and we were not informed until less than 24 hours ahead of scheduled rental. Stronly suggest you give customers more advance notice when you change locations: Moving days are stressful enough without having to tack on addtional time driving (in this case 40 minutes x 2 = over an hour in additional driving time.

Rented the uhaul online for pick up in louisa, va. Arrived, tried to check in via app and the site was down. Could not get code to get key. At that point, uhaul did find a truck to rent, but not at the original location. That was a major inconvenience. Got .50 cents off the mileage to compensate. Unfortunately, that did not cover the added expense and hassle. The delay caused a back up of my need for the uhaul. Suggestion on improving would be to keep your site running properly and/or proper compensation for such major inconveniences.

The fist place forgot to reserve a u-haul. The next place got a run around from u-haul. When I finally got one I had to drive farther and pay more. This was the worse run around and got more excuses than I have ever got. I am a retired military veteran and this was the worse moving experience I have ever had and all I got was excuses and now it is February and I rented the u-haul back in May of 2018 and you and you are just getting around to asking how was my experience. So I guess you public relations and customer service not improved.

I returned the truck after it was closed, so I didn't get to interact with UHaul personnel; however, the experience was fine.

I started out paying only $19.95 to one hundred and forty some. It was only use for one day. 10:00am to 6:00pm. Very disappointed. Seems like a RIP off to me may not use uhaul anymore.

Friendly customer service, just not impressed with the uhaul itself, it needed cleaned big time and it was one thing to have to move in the rain but then to have to listen to the bare windshield wipers, they were in such need of replacement.

Was made to travel 45 minutes to reach site after placing the order online 10 days prior. The staff at Johnny's were very helpful and courteous. I had to call customer service and dispatching several times, not a pleasant experience.

The location switched twice. At the original location, the truck was not even there when we got there. No phone call or anything to let us know the previous renter had not returned the truck yet. We ended up driving way out of the way and picked up the truck two hours later than expected. There was no point in reserving it a week ahead. I will never use uhaul again.

The drop off location was a gas station where the uhaul rep served as the counter person for the gas station. They filed no paperwork, did no vehicle checks, and seemed unaware of what they were supposed to do. They were unclean, unkempt, unfriendly, and unhelpful.

The gentleman working here was very nice. However. I made the reservation online for Richmond. The day before I get an email saying my truck was available 50 miles away from where we requested it. The woman at the location we were supposed to rent from said “I don’t know what to tell you, here’s a number you can call” so the day of our move, we had to spend an extra two hours driving around in circles. I cannot believe the complete lack of customer service. The gentleman at this location informed us the online booking doesn’t really work well and that Richmond uhaul was negative 67 trucks this weekend for overrenting. Why do you have a service for online renting if you can’t provide services? How is it an acceptable business practice to let people think they can pick up the uhaul they reserved, until the day before you tell them to go an hour from where they are? On top of that, when I called the number, they did nothing to help. She promised to add miles and a discount to the account, but when we came to pick up the truck there wasn’t a single note or record of our conversation.

I had to drive 21 miles to pick up our cargo van. There is a U-Haul one mile from our door, but they could not supply the van. Unlike the moving trucks, the cargo vans are worked differently( specific to a location) . So, I also had to drive it back to the same location versus dropping it off at the nearest U-Haul distributor. It would be helpful if U-Haul had the same equipment at all of its locations. The cargo van was fun to drive and perfect for our move.

I rented this van for 8 days I feel your extra day charge was a real rip off when you advertise $19.99 per day. I will be looking at other sources for future retail.
