N'ouvre qu'Ã 11h du matin le samedi et pas possible d'utiliser la location sans contact. 1h d'attente alors que seulement 2 autres clients. Imprimante hs, service sans contact pas proposÃ© initialement. Pas d'extension de durÃ©e malgrÃ© une attente affreusement longue. On nous dit juste qu'on aurait attendu aussi longtemps dans un grand centre. 20km parcourus, la jauge d'essence n'a mÃªme pas bougÃ©e, j'ai deux photos, avant aprÃ¨s comme preuve et on me retire 11$ d'essence alors que c'est dÃ©jÃ 1.11$ au km. Pas de check in check out physique, tout en ligne alors que vos pages ne se valident pas bien sur ios. Plus jamais u-haul. 70$ Et une heure d'attente pour 2h de location et 20km parcourus. J'ai dÃ©jÃ louÃ© plus grand pour une journÃ©e complÃ¨te remise le lendemain matin sans frais chez car discount pour moins cher et sans Ãªtre facturÃ© au km.GEOFFREY V.

The mechanic was about fifteen minutes late opening the garage, and uHaul had changed my pick-up time to an hour later than I'd requested, and I was running on a tight schedule. I also completed the online check-in but, due to recent maintenance on the location's computer system, most of the information I'd previously confirmed was lost, and so we had to do it all again. Although the majority of these problems were not the mechanic's fault, opening his door on-time certainly would have made the day a bit easier. Also, it would be worthwhile to have someone else at the garage upon opening to service those who line up outside and those who call, just to keep the rental process moving quickly.Bradley M.

De plus, j'ai Ã©tÃ© facturÃ©e pour du fuel de 6,25$ alors que j'en avais remis et que j'avais rendu le vÃ©hicule avec le demie plein comme prÃ©vu. C'est inadmissible. Enfin, le site internet et application U-Haul ne fonctionnaient pas au moment oÃ¹ j'ai voulu rendre le vÃ©hicule. Je suis restÃ©e quasiment 30 minutes Ã essayer de les faire fonctionner afin de rendre le vÃ©hicule mais en vain. Je prÃ©cise qu'il Ã©tait 21h passÃ© et que le garage Ã©tait fermÃ© au public. J'ai donc du rentrer chez moi et quand je suis revenue le lendemain pour expliquer la situation qui n'Ã©tait pas de mon ressort la personne de l'accueil n'a rien voulu entendre (C'Ã©tait la mÃªme personne qui m'a louÃ© le vÃ©hicule) et n'a fait preuve d'aucune empathie et n'a pas acceptÃ© de m'exonÃ©rer des frais "after hour service fee" de 20$ alors que c'est U-Haul qui avait un problÃ¨me la veille. Le pire dans tout Ã§a que ce fameux monsieur Ã©tait Ã priori encore la vers 21H (hors heures d'ouverture du garage) et m'a vu rendre le vÃ©hicule. Il n'est mÃªme pas venu me voir alors que j'avais un problÃ¨me et nous a littÃ©ralement accusÃ© de l'avoir vu et de ne pas Ãªtre venu le voir. Si Ã§a avait Ã©tÃ© le cas je serais venue tout de suite et je n'aurais pas cherchÃ© une solution pendant 30 minutes. Bref, j'ai Ã©tÃ© facturÃ©e 26,25$ de plus pour du fuel que j'avais remis (La moitiÃ© du plein Ã©tait la) et des frais service pour rendre le vÃ©hicule alors que c'est la plateforme U-Haul qui ne fonctionnait pas. C'est inadmissible. Niveau relationnel client c'est la mÃªme chose, aucune empathie et sympathie. Je ne repasserais jamais par ce garage.Agathe B.

My reservation took 40 minutes online and was for a pickup in ChÃ¢teauguay, QuÃ©bec. I made plans accordingly. The day before my rental, I get a call notifying me that my pickup location has changed and will be 30km away, in a rough part of Montreal. And that I will get the truck at 11 am, not at 9:30 as requested. Of course, once I arrive for the pick up at 11 sharp, the previous renter had not returned the truck. Confusion and frantic truck switches ensued. Then, despite having spent 40 minutes signing up for the rental online, we had to do it all again at the counter. All in all, instead of getting a truck at 9:30 six minutes away from my location, I left with the truck at 1:30, and had to waste an hour and fifteen minutes for the roundtrip. The guy at the counter did his best, and he was in an impossible situation. This is all on U-Haul. No apologies, no compensation, no acknowledgement of any kind except to add the free mileage from the pickup location, and I had to insist to get it. Four hours of inconvenience for the privilege of being a customer is a little much.MARC ANDRE A.

It was a snowy day and we thought we could take the rental but when it was time to take the truck out we couldn't drive it out of the driveway because there was too much snow. we asked the person who served us at (4880 Rue de Rouen, MontrÃ©al, QC H1V 1H7) to help us get it out otherwise we would like a refund of our 40$. He struggled to get it out for 10min and we could see the road was very slippery and he wasn't in control of the vehicule so we decided not to take the truck and get a refund but the person said he just couldn't because "we already signed the papers and paid". WE FIND THAT INAPPROPRIATE! The customer service was awful. I'll add also that he wasn't very nice and made us wait 15 minutes before getting out of his back store to serve us when we arrived. And when he arrived he blamed us for not shouting to make ourselves known!ANDRÃ‰A S.

We arrived before 4pm, and we had to give our passeports, even tho we had our driving licenses. Maybe just write on the reservation email or on the website "please bring your passeports if you don't have a quebec driving license" ? We came back at 5pm with our passeports to see a closed renting place. The guy who's working alone, had to go somewhere to eat or whatever, we call him, he comes back at 5:20, we are running late to pick up that sofa, it's stressful. We finally get the keys to the van, we check the gas, it just above 1/2, we take it anyway, because we hare already 1h30 late. The rental guy didn't even talk about a gas station, so we drive and finally find one and pay $10 to bring back the gas as it was : just above 1/2. How surprised we were when we received the bill saying the guy had to flll the gas tank and we have to pay for 8kms ? Cool to show prices like $20 the hour and then put people in a very stressful position because the documents checking takes ages. So yeah, you think you'll pay for $25 of renting + gas for a 4km go and return trip, you end up pay almost $40. At that price we could've just hire a man with a van, and he wouldn't have being late.ClÃ©mence S.
We I picked up the truck, the windshield was cover with ice, I had to go back home to get a ice scrapper and brush, the the backdoor was also completely stuck in ice, wouldn't open, the knob wouldn't turn, it is the least to make sure that the truck is ready for use since we are moving and cannot waist time with stupidity like these. First of all, my appointment was at 11am but the store was closed. I waited few minutes then had to call to see if store will be open or not. In mean time the area was so much slippery and I felt down and got injured. I was not able to walk properly. When I told to the person that the place is slippery the response from the person was just be careful. I could sue the company for that. Then I filled more gas then it was in the truck but still i was charged for gas again. I am totally disappointed for the service I got. I will never rent again from this location and I will not recommend this location to anyone. I hope uhaul will compensate me for this. Also I have pictures of the gas indicator before and after. The employee from Uhaul Laval told me to call at Joel Auto before dropping my truck, even though Joel Auto was closed. When I called, the man has been really rude with me. I want to address a strong and very negative critic about the app: not friendly (same as the website and not an app), change the language during connection, difficult to find the ongoing reservation (need to scroll and not on the menu on the left), ... I understand why it is so low rated(1/5). Need a strong update as I'm not fluely english speaking. If you work in Quebec province, adjust your app. It will help your relations to french speaking customer for sure. GraciasMagali B.

Although I gave back the minivan before the next customer arrived, the agent charged me another full day for being 15min late. Face to face he told me it was okay then I got the bill later saying the opposite. If you look at the online reviews the agent always shows up late to open the shop. I had to swipe the floor in the minivan because of fries in it. As a customer, you are better dealing with self checking from U-Haul than with Joe who always tries to fit two customers rental in a day without being himself prompt on time. I returned my truck 2 hours after renting it, it was registered as returned the following day, I was charged 35$ extra for gas ( I gassed up, I have the bill to prove it and pictures) I had a 40$ coupon that wasn't applied and no one has contacted me yet to fix my invoice. We reserved the van to pick up at 9am, so arriving at the pick up location the van was there, all the doors unlocked. The small black box for picking up the keys was empty and the garage wasn't open until 10. We waited until that time and still no one, at this point we called the uhaul customer service and after being passed to multiple different people we were told that the person working at the garage was late today. When he finally arrived over 20min later he barely apologised and had obviously just woken up. He checked the van etc as it had been rented the previous day and then didn't seem very familiar with the process as it took at least 15min to get our rental contract (I had previously don't the check in online) and asked multiple questions about if we wanted the insurance etc even though it was already set up. All in all, a very disappointing experience as we had previously rented from uhaul and it had been fantastic. We will definitely not be going here again unfortunately.Thomas M.

The location was not open when I got there at 10 am and I had to wait 24 minutes in the cold for someone to show up and open. Instead of apologizing for being late, the employee proceeded to swearing in French on the phone and being flustered. The pickup location itself was very unkempt and dirty. I picked this location for proximity to my house but in the future I will go to a stand alone haulEsther S.
