This was not my initial pick up location. The original pick up was Littleton,NC. This location does not represent UHaul at all! The service was terrible, communication was extremely poor. The pick up never happened. The place wasn't cooperative. They asked to access the truck by code. There was no code to access. The attendant was not accommodating. She would not come out to offer help. The waiting time to talk to a UHaul representative was way too long. My trip was affected by 4hrs . I lost my help to assist in the loading. Extremely stressful.

We rented a truck and then came back 2 days later to extend the rental because things had gone wrong with our new house being prepared and it needed to be fumigated for insects before we could move in. We informed them that we would need longer up to “possibly a week but we aren't sure” I spoke with the guy just to let him know because I was worried about getting into trouble. We agreed we would settle the difference beyond what we had already payed when we returned the truck. Then later that evening my wife and I went to go pay for our hotel room and couldn't because we had been charged 350 $ for the extended rental. We had to sleep in our vehicles because of this. I went back the next day to ask what happened and why and for the charge to be reversed or reduced so we didn't have to sleep in our vehicles again because we weren't supposed to be charged yet at all per the conversation I had with the employee in the store. He said he couldn't do anything to help and basically told me to go away. We slept in our vehicles again. Then the next day we were told we could move our things into the house and after struggling all day to get things moved with no food because of the over charge on the u haul, I dropped it back at the store. We should have gotten 3 days we had been charged for back. And they told us that it would be a 7 business days before our money was returned. So now we have to wait 9 days to get the money they weren't supposed to charge us in the first place back. And we still have no food money because once again we weren't supposed to be charged until we returned the truck. We would have actually been better off not telling anyone anything and just returning it when we could. We would have had 2 more days of food and shelter if we didn't try to do the right thing, which we were denied because of the shitty businesses practices of these people. I am extremely angry and will never use this service again and will actively warn others away from it because of the treatment I feel we received and the callous uncaring attitude of the people who essentially stole from us and then told us it would be 10 days until we get money the took without our permission for days we did not use the truck back. If you want to make this service better, your corporate office should much more carefully watch the people who rent these things and should provide for circumstances that rapidly change without punishing your customers and literally denying them food and shelter based on the whim and inappropriate conduct of representatives.

NO ONE DID ANY inspection of this vehicle with me. After starting the engine the Check engine light was on, I informed the dealer about the check engine light being on and his incredible response was Don't worry if you BREAK DOWN just call U-Haul they will come right out. The engine had a steady miss which caused excessive fuel consumption at a high cost to me. If it wasn't a Sunday mid morning I would never have taken the truck but being I was in N.C. to load and be in Fl. the next day I had very little if any choice. NEVER AGAIN. Poor is my rating for this rental experience

Everyone was professional and friendly. The vehicle was ready with a full tank of gas...and that really impressed me. This is the first time it's happened. When you're busy packing, hauling and moving stuff, the last thing you want to add to your to-do list is to go to the filling station and drop a lot of money into filling the tank. So a small gesture really made a BIG impact on me.

The truck was not clean and I had ask the guy to come outside and do a walk around so we can check the truck and he said he already did then he was waiting on us and we had to stand back so he could take care of a another customer just for beer but I would never come to that location again but on good note we were in need of a truck that day and he had one

Maybe lower the prices. It's ridiculous to drive 156 miles and end up having to pay 257. That's crazy. It's busting people pockets. Should have a all day rental for one set price. Won't be using uhaul again.

The truck was not clean. The motor was very loud and it way very shakey and always sounded like it wad going to cut off every time I stopped. This was the worst ride I have ever had with u haul. In the past it a very good experience.

The uhaul agent at the location was not knowledgeable. He tried to overcharge me for my rental. I knew it should be cheaper because I looked it up online. I had to leave and purchase my rental online and come back. The agent was still very confused. He also allowed several people in line ahead of us.

Be honest. We were told it would one price and that we would be charged when we dropped it off. We were charged almost $200 more than what we were told and without notification way before we dropped it back off. That is terrible business. We will do whatever we can to not use uhaul again.

There was absolutely no assistance with picking up the trailer. It seemed as though I was the very first customer to rent a U-Haul from this dealer. It was raining...I was picking up the trailer alone (because my husband was picking up a U-Haul truck from another location)...and apparently U-Haul trailers hook up differently than a typical trailer (which I am very comfortable operating). The dealer never offered to help or even come outside with me. I actually had to return to the desk to ask for help lifting the 12 foot trailer onto the hitch. Afterwards, the dealer went right back inside and I was left to complete the hookup on my own without any instruction...in the rain. I was also not told to inspect the trailer and identify any pre-existing damage. All of this culminated in the trailer coming OFF the hitch while driving, endangering myself and my children who were in the truck with me. It also could have wreaked havoc on the rear end of my husband's brand new truck. Thankfully no one was injured and after mustering ALL of my strength I was able to lift the trailer back onto the hitch and get out of the way of oncoming traffic. It was a scary situation. The trailer itself was in good condition and was very helpful in our move...but the lack of knowledge on the dealer's part could have ended badly for everyone in the vehicle.

Owner sent some guy out to inspect the truck. Guy came back in and said I bought truck back on less than a quarter tank. That was not true. Truck was bought back on a quarter tank. Charged my credit card an additional $71.04 which I'm still very upset about.

When equipment set in a reservation it should be already connected to tow equipment, if requested, and all paperwork should be ready so only thing needed is last minute info like license number and payment.

I am utterly disgusted and pissed about my experience with this location. I was leaving that afternoon to take my car out of state, both dollies were not in working order, I had to wire the tail lights to make them operable. One dolly was beyond repair, but the other was able to be done, which I had to do in their parking lot in the rain. They obviously don't check the equipment when it comes in. I had to wait for over an hour just to get the associate there to do my reservation. The place was cluttered and I barely had enough room to drive my truck behind the building where the dollies were located. I asked for a discount for my trouble, but did not get one. If I would have received a discount I would have been satisfied, but now I'm pissed. You should not allow this location to be a u-haul rental location. Contract # 80085823
